The Tactics section is already in our download section :) Other parts will be made by time, when we have time enough to work on it. We'll keep everyone tuned ;)

How's the "Choosing your line-up" guide coming along?

Only asking because Shadd666 said last week it was nearly finished.

Well... It takes a bit more time that initially previoused  A point of detail to review, and then Archibalduk will have to find some time to put it online (as i absolutely don't know how to do so), but he is actually very busy.

I hope it will be out soon. But this time i won't give any date :D

I would like a full refund for joining this free forum. These adiminstrators are like totally arrogant and have no regard for those who eat, sleep, and breath this game. Without a full EHM2007 guide, this game is unplayable, and the constant reassurances from the administrators that it will be released shortly is beyond frustrating. I purposely make sure I have nothing planned for my weekends, waiting patiently for this guide to be released, and each week that passes with only "reassurances" is just another slap in the face. It's a total joke. In summary, I demand a full refund for my time and patience from this free forum. I hope other disillusioned EHM blueline members will join me in my pursuit of free money and constant bitching and veiled threats from behind the curtain of internet anonymity. TO ARMS, TO ARMS!!!

At least you have someone to talk to about your problems.

I bet on some free forums freedom of speech would be limited! :-p

Powerslave: well, first of all, i'm not an admin'; just a user, like you ;) That said, i'm sorry if the guide takes a bit more time to be released, but both Archibalduk and i do it on our free time, and it takes a huge amount of time to make this guide. I'd like it to be fully released and start to work on other projects, but we just don't have all the time we want to work on it. I hope you (and everyone alse ;)) understand that.

Powerslave - I understand your frustration but you have to keep in mind that TBL is only a small part of my life. I have to balance what I do at TBL against spending time with my friends and girlfriend, doing things such as going to the gym and not to mention working. Currently my job is taking a lot of my time up - hence why I'm not on the Forums as much as I used to be. Things should ease up in January and then I'll be concentrating a bit more on TBL.

I deliberately never gave any promises as to release dates because I knew real-life would take up a lot of my time. The Guide isn't, however, a dead project; progress is being made but it's just a matter of me fitting it in with my personal life. Additionally, I'm working on improving the site; in particular I'm greatly improving the way in which Challenge statistics are displayed (the current GLR scheme isn't really good for our purposes) and so this has taken priority whilst I complete this.

I hope you understand this :)

I think Powerslave was just being silly - how can we be impatient for valuable free information made for free by hard-working dedicated people?

I think he was just imitating some of the folks at SI boards or most other boards who just complain about everything and demand everything for free and right away.

But that's why I love the folks here, you take the time to explain stuff even when no explaination is necessary.

Long Live TBL :notworthy:

I thought to myself once I posted that "God I hope no one here takes this the wrong way." If you've never been to the official game forums (www.sigames.com), you might not know the people I was imitating. I really like the site y'all got goin on here and am looking forward to seeing your guide, but by all means take your time, part of the fun of this game is figuring out things for myself. I think we all here appreciate the time and effort that goes into maintaining the site and developing the guides, which in the end is just for everyone else to have more fun. Much thanks!

Okay...calm down everyone please :)

Powerslave: i don't know if your post was an imitation, or a joke, or if you were serious, but as you can see we don't really like that kind of aggressive posts here ;) And as we don't face you, we can't see if you're joking by imitating or if you're serious, which leads to some confusion. I don't think it was your intention to look so aggressive, so there's no way to scream on you on this one. But pay more attention on what you post next time, in order to avoid every possibility of confusion :)

And this is valuable for everyone who post here...;)

Don't worry powerslave, I knew you were messing about :) I just wanted to make it clear why progress on the Guide has been slow recently - I don't want people to think we've abandoned it!

Anyway, here is the latest chapter: 2.0 Choosing the Line-up

Let me know if there's anything we've missed!

Thank you for your work. Speaking of work i always choose my line considering DETERMINATION and WORK RATE. They both tell you alot about the future of the player.

Determination and Work Rate?... Well... Yes and no... A player should have a lot of determination, a great work rate, a spectacular work ethic and an incredible capacity to handle the pressure AND lack the skills needed to perform well at a certain level. ;)

By the way, the biggest NHL star caliber players usually have strong mental attributes, that's right. But it's not enough.

Agreed, if you have skill without the mental its way harder to get any better. But if you have mental and poor physic and skillz you can work on it easier. Its harder to work on your mind than on your skillz and physical no wonder that only teamwork change with training. The mental aspect change with age.

3nigm4: i agree ;) But some will never be skilled enough, no matter what their mental is and how hard they practice. When you choose your lineup, you want to build a team who is able to win, so you need skills for that. But of course, mental is a very important aspect of the game, and between two players who are nearly equal in skills, i always choose the one who has the stronger mental ;)

Flea: sections 1, 2, and 3 are done  And as we had a lot of demand regarding practice, we'll work on this now, even if it's section 9. So wait a moment before asking where are sections 4 to 8 :D lol
