Why don't you guys use save- and pre-game editor to check out your regens?

Lol, nice improvements! I first thought it wasn't normal for Holik regen to just have 11 in positionning, but it seems he's working hard on it. :-D

2017 1st overall pick. His consistency is 17 but I can't figure it out. Is there an easier way to narrow down the search on the pregame editor? Or do you just have to take an educated guess as to who it might be and look it up and check?

you need savegame editor: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/dl ... ile_id=488
open your saved game, find your player and check regens nationality, potential ability and primary position.
Start your pre-game editor and load your database. Then choose staff&players and the click that filter staff button. insert those values what you cheked from your saved game to the filter staff box and you propably get a small list of players. just look your saved game player's height and weight and compare them to the list of players and when they match that's your man.

Using the save game editor, I can confirm that Sten Josefsson is indeed Peter Forsberg.

Thanks for posting that link.

Wow! I had nobody in any of the 3 Canadian Jrs leagues in 2008-2009 hit 40 goals or 65 points. Even John Tavares was held to 28 goals and 61 points in 62 games and he was definitely the dominating star of the 2009 NHL draft. But that is perhaps a difference since you are using the new DB.
What DB are you using, cause even in the old ones Tavares is pretty dominant?

Influence is only good for captain/leader material types, it's really not that big of a deal. Teamwork is only a big deal if you like unselfish players, which I guess most people do.

Hi guys,

Does a regen always have the same PA than the original player?

I'm looking for the Jagr regen in my game but there is no Czech as dominant as Jagr... I so one that could be Jagr, but not good enough.

Thanks.

Teamwork makes the PP and PK go round. The higher the teamwork the better the guy is in those situations in particular. It basically boosts his other attributes like passing, checking etc. It is why a guy like Horcoff with not so good attributes racks up so many points for everyone.

Anybody was able to spot a Doug Weight's regen? He should be getting in the 2011 or 2012 draft...
I was able to identify many american regens, but it seems I always missed on Weight. In 2.0 DB, he should be getting in the same draft class than Mike Modano, but it seems he was not in my game, and the C's from the next class are 3-stars guy (and Weight probably has a PA similar to Modano...).

Ok I'm confused about one thing for regens ...

Hasak for example. In the NHL HoF the entry date is 7/14/07 and retirement 2006-07

What draft would he appear in? I thought the 2009 one and there is a Czech goalie in that draft with flair of 95 (19) however his potential is only 60

That would most likely be hasek. Was he 5'11 and were his reflexes also in the high 90's?

Nope, it wasn't ... and when I use the save game editor to check this player his potential ability is only 60 (not 190+)

One problem I'm having is some players don't seem to show up consistently in the Player Search section ... I had a swedish center ranked 5th in the upcoming draft that if I filter Player Search to only show Swedish Centers who are 12-18yrs old ... he wasn't showing up. I saved my game, exited, reloaded and now he does.

When I use Player Search to limit it to Czech goalies under 18 ... the only one with high flair is the guy mentioned above.

My question is ... from the date the player retires (or is inducted into HoF), how many years from then does the regen actually show up in the database?

The Hasek regen often suck bad, so i wouldn't be surprise in your game that he got almost no potential.

A regens potential ability is the same as the original players. So if your guy has a PA of 60 then that's not the Hasek regen.
I think the regens should show up in the database immediatly or at least almost immediatly after the player retires, European players as a 15-16 year old and North American players as few years younger, 14-15 year old, I guess.

What DB are you using? I remember that in my game with the Thrashers, i've pick him in 2010, not 2009. First regen starts appearing in 2009, but i often see the Hasek one in the 2010. I use the original DB.

Thought of that, so did RESET first, then did just Nationality = Sweden, Age = 12-19, Forward, Center and that 5th ranked Swede from 2009 draft was not showing in the list of 20-30 players

Using the Lidas 2.2 database

And filtering the draft itself produces about 30-40 Czech goalies, only one of which has flair in the 90s and he's the dud with 60 potential (2009 draft) ...

I think I'm leaning to this answer:

Lidas DB .. guys who retire immediately are in the 2009 (euros) or 2011 (Canadian) drafts
Hasak retired AFTER the 2007 draft and seem to not bel available until 2 drafts after that (2010)

I'm guessing players that retired are regen'd to the database just before the draft or on draft day itself. so if a player retires just after the draft, he's not added as youngster till the NEXT draft and will be available in 2 or 4 years from then.

PS: Found my Hasek regen in the CHL Import Draft by filter for Czech goalies ... again however, he doesn't show up in the actual Player Search from GM Options
