3 more years has passed from my GM career and.. well still I'm not in NHL - It's now year 2016.
After my visit in Sweden I got job from AHL, Manitoba Moose Canucks farm team. Moose struggled from beginning of the game just like Vancouver after Luongo retired due to injury, but I thought that AHL will give me reputation which I need to reach NHL. In summer I really suprised how good young players Vancouver had in their farm. In 2013-14 season prewiew our team was ranked in 2nd place. Season beginning was just amazing we got two over 10 games winning streak, but then Vancouver traded their 4 best AHL prospects for Gaborig and Mark Streit.. ouch. That really hurted my team, but we managed to end 2nd in regular season. In playoffs Grand Rapids and Hasek regen knocked us out in western conference semi finals.

In season 2014-15 prewier we were ranked in last place, which wasn't big suprise. Vancouver called our starter goalie up and previous season trades made me laught. I had to sign own players in team. Players like Torjdman in net, Hagelin in 1st line and many others. Even thought I signed big names in my team this season was copy from previous season. We ended 2nd place in regular season and we were knocked out in conference semi finals.

Season 2015-16. I got job offer from Russia -Sibir Novosibirsk. Sibir had two big names in their team, veterans Morozov and Vorobiev. Rest of the team sucked. So I had to boost the team little. I signed Brian Boyle, Zack Torquato and Alain McQuaid. I also bought Gelashvili and Evgeny Karpov in team. From those names only goalie Gelashvili had played well in previous seasons.
My defence was horrible and I didn't manage to sign any reasonable players in defence, so I had to go play offensive game and hope that Gelashvili can stop most of the shots. In season prewier we were black horses. We ended 1st place in regular season.
In playoffs first round Gelashvili was on fire, he got 3 shutouts and in whole series he only allowed one goal. Second round wasn't that good.. in fact it was terrible. Morozov and McQuaid got injured.. Vorobiev surfed. We lost straight in four games.
Karpov scored most goals in regular season, Morozov scored most points and Karpov, Morozov, McQuaid and Boyle selected in All-Star team first line. Boyle also selected in Canada's WC rosters.
After season I had enough of Russian league and jumped back in AHL.. this time in Milwaukee. I'm about to lose my fait.. I never reach NHL. :-x

Stay in Europe, major leagues there raise your rep better than any North American teams except for NHL.

Heading into 2010/11 after two more seasons with no SC, Florida destroyed me en route to winning it all. Bit of a changeup in the offseason, the Sabres are set to go with

Pominville - Roy - Vanek
Lessio - Vasicek - Kassian
Drury - Gaustad - A.Stewart
Betts - Clarkson - Kaleta

Myers - van Ryn
Sekera - Buravchikov
Murray - Brennan

Miller/Enroth

Fringe players who are likely to see time one way or another include Akim Aliu, Scott Harrington, Daniel Maggio, Kenndal McArdle, Tyler Ennis, and Luke Adam.

Going into the 2011/12 season with a positive feeling since we finally reached the Playoffs last year, securing the spot with a close win on the last day of the season. Although we lost to the Kings in the second round in 4 games (and they went to win the Cup) it was still a very successful season for us. Now we're in December and currently leading the Central Division while the Red Wings are dead last (never seen this before).

Hall - Carter - Erat
Couturier - Legwand - Kane
Goc - Arnott - Tambellini
Wilson - Scatchard - Ward

Suter - Weber
Hamhuis - Grebeshkov
Blum - Klein

I had a pretty good game going on the 3.0.2 version with the Avs. Finished in 2027, at which point the players had such low rankings it became ridiculous to play. My team made it to the playoffs for 12 consecutive seasons, reaching 5 Stanley Cup Finals and winning 4 of them within 7 seasons. We had quite the longstanding rivalry with the Vancouver Canucks, who were perennial playoff opponents and powerhouse division rivals, and the Montreal Canadiens, who we met three times in the cup finals. My first few seasons generally were middling, averaging the 10th seed in the west. After that, the team was built on a powerful offense, which later became a solid defensive game anchored around star goalies. Some notable players include Jay Morin, who was a Selke Trophy contender, longtime captain, and Hall-of-Famer, Clary Hunter, a 6'5" defenseman who was a perennial all-star, and Wayne Maxwell, an enforcer who had a season of over 1000 penalty minutes. Perhaps the highlight of the game for me was picking up Alex Ovechkin out of free agency as a 39-year-old and proceeding to win him his first and only Stanley Cup before his postseason retirement. Reminded me of Ray Bourque in a way.

I'm starting a new one with the updated version of the game and will report back on that.

Awesome Avs career!

Have you downloaded the newest Lidas Rosters yet? If you haven't, I'm sure you'd love your team again! ;)

Thank you! And yes, I just downloaded the newest Lidas Rosters, and I'm loving not having to share an AHL affiliate with Carolina! Having just finished my training camp on the newest rosters, I've lost Stephane Yelle and Chris Durno for a few weeks, so it looks like I won't be sending Ryan O'Reilly back to the Erie Otters quite yet...

I want to replay EHM these days but I'm pretty bored of the NHL so I think I'm going to try for the first time playing with a junior team. :help:

I will try with the Shawinigan Cataractes, since my city is like 30 min from them, it's almost like they are a team from T-R too. I don't know what I should expect, it's going to be my first experience in the junior so I need to getting used to the rules, trades, drafts, coaches, players....

I don't want to start with a full experience GM and my goal isn't to reach the NHL as quickly as I can since I'm looking foward to just coach juniors teams, well I will see what I can do. [-o<

If somebody got any tips to give me to make my adaptation easier...... :-p

Things are going much better than anticipated, I'm absolutely destroying the league, top line are 1-2-3 in scoring and Vanek is averaging > 2 points per game. Miller's record is something like 21-3-1 and my third line of Drury-Gaustad-A.Stewart (a waiver pickup!) are outdoing all expectation.

Naturally waiting for it to all go wrong but even my prospects are doing well, a speedy Danish winger who doesn't have exceptional technical attributes scored 19 in 24 last I checked and my 6'5" Swedish C prospect is every bit as good as I hoped, logging big minutes and putting up numbers.

2007-08 season is about to start soon (UUDB) and last year playoff succes with Kings I'm pretty happy to team.
I have some questionmarks about my final rosters. But here's current early july ones:

Cammalleri-Kopitar-O'Sullivan
Frolov-Conroy-Willsie (or Kane)
McCauley-Sharp-Y.Stastny
Scott Thornton-Leino-Parros/Weinhandl

Visnovsky-Blake
Aucoin-Noström
Jurcina-Tverdovsky/J.Johnson

Bryzgalov-Hiller

I didn't make any huge trades during season, just some injury backups and better 2nd goalie.
Sopel, 4th pick and some goalie rights <-> Aucoin & Sharp
4th, 6th & rubbish player rights <-> Bryzgalov
Cowan & 4th round <-> Weinhandl
Miller & Weaver <-> Souray who is now UFA
Kostopoulos <-> Whitfield (RFA)
Armstrong & Avery <-> Stastny
Cloutier <-> Chelios & 5th pick (in same day Wings bought Cloutiers 2m contract out.. I have to give something to wings for free. :-D )
Dallman & 5th pick <-> Jurcina & 4th pick
Tukonen, Brown, 3rd & 4th pick <-> #1 overall (Kane) Brown failed big time in my team. ](*,)

Now I'm about to sell Bryzgalov somewhere if Garon (RFA) signs new and cheap contract.
Garon notched 91.0SV% in 50 regular season games and was way better in playoffs than Bryzgalov.
I'm also worried about McCauley.. he was 2+2 month in IR list and I wasn't able to send him in rehab.. luckily I still have rights for Whitfield.

Im playing with Avalanche and im now managed them to 3 staright president and Stanley,I started my game with Fantasy draft and got very good team but now i have traded people but my team is still very good in my opinion.(Last season games, goals and points in brackets.)

Ovechkin (79gp 69g=150p) - Sedin (82gp 40g=148p) - Franzen (82gp 53g=117p) That was crappiest season for everyone in that line

Hartnell (74gp 38g=75p) - Vasicek (51gp 16g=50p) - Cole (78gp 46g=98p) Hartnell was pretty average and Cole played his best season

Brule (82gp 12g=29p) - Pelletier (82gp 7g=19p) - Weinhandl (79gp 17g=34p) Brule isnt ready for NHL and Weinhandls contract end

Carcillo (79gp 2g=10p) - Regin (82gp 7g=15p) - Asham (81gp 7g=23p ) Well nothing to say from this line they did what i expect

Pitkänen (82gp 12g=61p) - Brewer (77gp 11g=46p) Pitkänen was 3rd in norris trohpy and i got Brewer with my 7th rnd pick

Fowler (82gp 6g=17p) - Enström (82gp 8g=40p) Fowler won Calder trophy and Enström was just good

Lashoff (82gp 9g=27p) - Sydor (81gp 2g=19p) Lashoff played again good season and Sydor is 1 goal away from 100 goal milestone, but he doesnt want to continue in avs so I hope he gets it somewhere else

Brodeur - Esche

And Kadri played 42match in every line with 3+29 stats

I decided to start as unemployed. Got the job in Norway Get-Ligaen in Stjernen Hockey. In first season I reached semis and lost there to Valerenga, who later lost in final series against Sparta Sparsborg.

In my second season I was first after regular season, reached finals, but lost to Valerenga again with 0-4. And I scored only one goal in whole final series. : :-? :dunno:

Now I signed few good players and hope to claim the first title, but in the same time I will look for job in some stronger league. =D>

p.s. sorry for my bad english...

Thanks for telling us about your team! Do you plan on taking your GM to the NHL? I like to play by starting unemployed, as you did. It really makes things interesting.

Sure ! :) That is my goal and to be GM of some country and play Olympics and WC :)

But, step by step, before NHL, I hope I will get a job somwhere in Finland, Russia, Germany or Sweden.
;)

I made "little" pause in playing EHM 2007. Because of job, school I didn't play it for year and half, but before it I played with Zvolen in slovakian league and had great team. Won 5 championships, two ECC-s (european champions cups), had few stars like Marcel Hossa, Peter Budaj playing for me.... but as I had to format my disc I lost saves and forgot to back up it

p.s. I am glad that my english is understandable :)

Now i´m in 2014-2015 with Red Wings.

Couple of last years have been great, Red Wings have won three Stanley Cups in a row now. (2011-2012, 2012-2013, 2013-2014)

My current line-up:

Dany Heatley, 37, (5gp 2+4=6, -3)

Not the best start for Heatley, but i am for sure he will be valuable in play-offs. I think he will be traded after the season.

Contract: 2016, 4,740,000 €/season

Henrik Zetterberg, 37, (59gp 46+81=127, +49)

Hank is still playing his best hockey, but maybe in next season have to make room for Hult.

Contract: 2016, 4,745,000 €/season

Waltteri Hakkarainen, 23, (36gp 23+35=58, +29)
Young finnish winger was playing his best season before an injury. Will have long and bright future in the team.

Contract: 2017, 3,990,000 €/season.

Rick Nash, 33, (54gp 43+60=103, +48)
Fighting against Heatley for 1st line role. Had over 160points last season.

Contract: 2015, 6,200,000 €/season

Per-Johan Hult, 22, (60gp 21+43=64, +20)
Is having a great season and is showing me that he is the man to fill Hank´s shoes.

Contract: 2016, 600,000 €/season

Leos Kindl, 23, (54gp 32+41=73, +20)
Start the season on 3rd line, but after Franzén was traded and Hakkarainen was injured, got the chance to be first-liner. And the hell, he was superb, winning the best offensive player of the month award.

Contract: 2017, 1,000,000 €/season.

Jass Beauregard, 22, (59gp 41+37=78, +36)
Excellent goal-scorer! Deserves more than 3rd liner role, but he is still young so he have to wait for the next year.

Contract: 2016, 3,500,000 €/season.

Steven Morrissette (60gp 6+7=13, -1)
Landon Ferraro (41gp 4+5=9, -6)
Konrad Titze (28gp 2+3=5, -8)
Nazim Kadri (10gp 0+0=0, -4)
Rinat Petrenko (33gp 5+15=20, 0)

Victor Hedman, 27, (60gp 9+33=42, +28)
Playing second season for the wings, and is very valuable player for the team.

Contract: 2017, 3,700,000 €/season

Jack Johnson, 31, (60gp 22+37=59, +35)
Has had superb career in Red Wings, 8 seasons, 670gp, 136g + 322a = 458p, +/- +200. Now playing his best years, and many mores to come!

Contract: 2016, 4,500,000 €/season

Kristofer Larsen, 20, (60gp 3+13=16, +14)
Every coach dream player! Have consistency, leadership and is very good player! Hopefully he will have a long career in Red Wings!

Contract: 2016, 890,000 €/season

Tye Montgomery, 21, (59gp 9+20=29, +30)
Calder winner, great offensive defender. But as you can see the +/-, he can defend also.

Contract: 2017, 1,706,000 €/season

Tobias Kathan (49gp 1+8=9, +19)
Bedrich Lang (4gp 0+0=0, -2)

Zdenek Bauer, 23, (60gp, 45W, 12L, 3T, 88,3%)
Was ranked the best goalie before the season. Haven´t been so good this year, but the goalies job in our team is not the best because of our offensive game.

Contract: 2016, 2,200,000 €/year.

Gunther Busch (0gp)

Thomas Chiasson LD (5gp 0+0=0, +2)
Leo Jokinen C (13gp 1+0=1, -2)
Miro Nevala RW (33gp 2+9=11, +3)
Karan Oscarsson RW (9gp 0+3=3, -5)

Our tactics is very offensive, as you can see how much my best players score and my keeper sucks.

Trades 2014-2015, + most important from earlier years:
DET 1st round 2015 + 6th round 2015 <--> SJ 1st round 2015
DET 5th round 2015 + 2th round 2015 <--> VAN 1st round 2015
DET Johan Franzén <--> MIN Viktor Stålberg, Matej Vorel
DET Viktror Stålberg <--> TOR Nazem Kadri
DET rights to Kasper Hirsch <--> ANA Dany Heatley
DET Tyler Cuma <--> COL 4th round 2015
DET Jouni Hakkarainen, Peter Bustreo, rights to Kaj Brendheden <--> TB Victor Hedman (all of them was my 4th round picks)
DET Adam Svahn, Dan Mattson, Nicklas Jensen <--> CBJ Rick Nash

Some records:
Goals: Johan Franzén 77, 2010-2011
Assists: Pavel Datsyuk 111, 2009-2010
Points: Pavel Datsyuk 61+111=172, 2009-2010
Points by rookie: Jass Beauregard 39+59=98, 2011-2012

i'm playing the phoenix coyotes and it's the 2014-15 season.
we won the cup in 09-10 and 10-11 but i think i rushed the next two seasons and we only made the playoffs... anyway, we're currently first in the western conference and we've played 19 games so far. here's my current lineup

forwards
Nagy, P Mueller, Doan
Hanzal, N Bäckström, Lisin
N Curry, Gaustad, M Walsh
M Kang, J Schroeder, Arttu Sihvonen

d-men
Ilya Zhukov, Morris
Poti, D Doughty
Keaton Ellerby, Stephen Lund

goalies
Niittymäki
George Labrie

i feel some of my players are overpriced and rather close to retirement (hello shane doan!) but he still puts up good numbers and i want to retire his jersey (if the game allows me). i'm paying 42 800 000 for this lot (prospects and farms included).

What the Dickens?! I'm in the 2018 offseason and Patrice Bergeron just retired out of the blue. He had a career year and just won the Art Ross for the first time last season at age 35, never had any injury problems and the news item says he had to quit due to recurring injuries
If only I knew this a week earlier I'd have grabbed one of the decent center UFAs ](*,)

I believe his concussion history is programmed into the game. If he was ever injured and you checked it with your trainer, it would say something about the history.

I rarely ever use that trainer report feature, except if a guy keeps getting injured all the time. I believe he only missed like 3-4 games the last 5 seasons so that was a shock.

Hmm..then this kind of thing is going to happen to you more often. Some injuries you get (even if small) can be concern for future.I check every time someone gets hurt, because you can send em to rehab and sometimes cure the possible recurring problem.
