Re: Custom Start Date Patch: Questions, Errors and Help
I've tried using the latest Manimal patches, but whenever I try to run the CSD patch it doesn't work and the game crashes as soon as I try to start a new game. Any ideas?

Re: Custom Start Date Patch: Questions, Errors and Help
It would be really helpful if you could post the information requested in the readme file accompanying the Patch.subi wrote:I've tried using the latest Manimal patches, but whenever I try to run the CSD patch it doesn't work and the game crashes as soon as I try to start a new game. Any ideas?
The most likely cause of a crash is either that you're running the cracked version or you're not running version 3.0.4. When you click on the Start New Game button and you have the list of leagues to select, is the start date listed at the bottom of the screen correct (i.e does it say 2006 or 2011)?

The version of Windows you are using (and ideally whether it is 32 or 64 bit).
Windows 7, 64 bit
The version of EHM you are using (i.e. v3.0.3, v3.0.4, etc).
v3.0.4
The edition of EHM you are using (eLicense or CD-ROM).
eLicense
If you receive any warning/error messages in the Patch window, please provide a complete copy of the messages you receive.
From just now:

Patch failed.
1 error(s) and 0 warning(s) encountered.Loading EHM...
Please wait whilst EHM loads...
WARNING: Unrecognised version of EHM.

3) CD-ROM: 1702063717

Patch type 3 (default)
Patch successful.
Please note the 1 warning(s) listed above.
Usually when I try to start it the game will crash after I select a patch and hit Ok, but this time it worked, so I'm not sure whats going on with that. Maybe because I tried that CSD checker program that was posted on the last page? It did show the right years when it started this time.

Are you using the Patch & Launch or Apply Patch Only button? Try loading EHM and then using the Apply Patch Only button.subi wrote:Usually when I try to start it the game will crash after I select a patch and hit Ok, but this time it worked, so I'm not sure whats going on with that. Well I don't really know what to say. I did my best to break down the steps as best as possible and to write it as clearly as possible (particularly as English isn't the first language for many TBL users). I don't think I can better explain it than how I did in the readme file or the download thread.MKoivuFan wrote:i went to go try to read this to do it for the first time but completely lost when u clicked on the custom start date patch 1.2 donno which files to download and then reading the russian/finish part im confused about that part as well

If you're struggling then use the 2006 adjusted Manimal v4.1b Rosters. These are the same as the normal "Patched" rosters but all of the dates are adjusted for the 2006/07 season so you don't need the CSD Patch. Here's the link: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 42#p136942

Re: Custom Start Date Patch: Questions, Errors and Help
Hello. I have downloaded the patch and followed every guide steps, but when I double click the patch, nothing happens? It looks like it starts few seconds, but then nothing?
What could be the case? Any good tips? Or some info missing in readme-file?

Re: Custom Start Date Patch: Questions, Errors and Help
Not sure if anyone reported this problem and I'm not reading all 15 pages over again so I'll post it. Windows XP and I play EHM in windowed mode. I tried loading the patch using option 2 and it crashes with a "windows has encountered a problem-do you want to report it to microsoft" message. However if I load the game and then run the patch using option 3 it works perfectly.

That will be a roster update issue and not a CSD Patch issue.SkateLine wrote:Hey i found a bug or something the thing is for example Luc Robitaille he is President of the LA Kings but after he goes to the Hall of Fame he is away, its the same with other Hall of Fame players.

This is a new one to me! How about Option 1 - does that work?CeeBee wrote:Not sure if anyone reported this problem and I'm not reading all 15 pages over again so I'll post it. Re: Custom Start Date Patch: Questions, Errors and Help
Well, I just tried option one and it works. I'm a bit confused about option 2 but it really doesn't matter as it works with options one and three. I'm in January so just one month to go and I'll not need the patch!
I'm pretty sure the loss of NHL records has been mentioned before?

Yeah it has. It's a pain!CeeBee wrote: I'm pretty sure the loss of NHL records has been mentioned before?
I plan on looking at this. I need to see what the game is like without the Patch and get my head around what the heck is different.

Re: Custom Start Date Patch: Questions, Errors and Help
Interesting thing happened to me this afternoon. I had tried patching method #1 and it was working but my game crashed on Jan 14th after probably advancing a few days at most. I reloaded the game with button one and played the same amount and it crashed again on the 14th. Next I used method #3 which was my original way of patching, booted up the game and then patched and it went past the 14th no problems. All 3 loads were from the same save so it can't be the save I don't believe. Just another interesting thing that may be of help to someone as it appears that one should probably use the same patching method one started the game with.
