and i'd like to apologize to OOTP for not buying FHM2. I'm in a head-to-head roto league which as already ended this season, my 2nd place winnings will be gone before the end of the day.

Although FHM2 seems like it will be much much more improved from FHM1. Didn't play it but have been reading the devs update on it. OOTP Baseball is an extremely successful franchise and it doesn't mean FHM X will not eventually be a great game ! Hopefully it will create a healthy competition and make both devs produce the best version of their game ! I'm happy to see EHM EA and others working on Hockey sim games, a thing that have been missing for too long !

I'm beyond excited for this, especially since less will be hardcoded. I also see that there is a folder for some kind of editor. Is SI developing it? What's the timeframe for its availability?

Apologies to the guys at FHM but EHM is the mecca and I'm loving it so far.

No editor right now I'm afraid.

I think the Editor folder is something that has been brought over from Football Manager. Although perhaps not visible when you play EHM:EA, there has been a major overhaul of key parts of the game code (such as the brand new database format with far less hardcoding). I believe much of this is using a modified version of the Football Manager codebase. So this might explain why there's an Editor folder. I guess it leaves things open for the future.

In the mean time, we have to continue editing EHM 2007 format databases and then import them into EHM:EA.

The editor folder is there due to the importer functionality. The long term plan/hope is to add a pre-game editor at some point if all goes well. But as said above, you can use 07 editors to edit 07 databases for now and just import them into the new game.

I dare to disagree with you guys, FHM is a great project IMO. There were problems and big ones but I believe in the game and the development team.

I'm really glad that EHM is back but not because I want to replace FHM with it. Although I believe that a healthy and fair competition is a good thing to have.

it´s nice to have EHM as a filler but i prefer to go with a company like OOTP who really commits to FHM 100% rather than SI who releases an update to a game they´re NOT commited to for a long time despite having the resources to do so.
anyway, i hope fans of both games will get what they want in the future
