Starting Unemployed

Post by gRaider2001 »

Hello All, I am new to this game and series. I have a question about starting off unemployed in this game. Is there away for me to apply automatically to job openings as they come available? I know in Football Manager you can set it up to apply for job openings automatically while you are on vacation, can I do that in this game? If not, how do people find jobs? Thanks:-)

I believe it is set to apply automatically for jobs unless you change the option in the "Go on Vacation" screen to not apply.

Thank you for replying:-) On the Go on Vacation setting, I clicked yes for "apply for manager position at higher reputation teams." Is this the setting you are talking about?

Yes, with that it will automaticly apply you to every job that opens. Very important also about your background...so if you are ex beer league hockey player you wont recive NHL offers but maybe some lower league jobs (ECHL, SWE2, FIN2). This gets much more interesting once (and hopefuly) SI will make more leagues playable like it was at EHM 2007.

On the background thing -- what does "automatic" mean?

I don't remember the specifics, but basically it will give you an appropriate background to the job you are taking. For example if you start off with the weakest background and put yourself in an NHL job, you will get fired very quickly since you don't have the history that the position requires. Automatic will make it so you are set as a "reasonable" background for that job.

When it comes to starting unemployed I don't remember where it starts you
