How to Create Backgrounds

Post by goonstwone »

Does anyone have an updated guide on how to create backgrounds from scratch? The link to the template in the older version is dead.

This is the way I do it:
1) Find or create an image with at least 1024 pixels in width and 640 pixels in height.
2) Crop and/or resize the image to 1024 pixels in width and 640 pixels in height.
3) Add a bar to the top of the image, so that the height of the image gets to 768 pixels. This bar will be just a filler underneath the club or player name and all that information. I use black, but any colour will do.
4) Save as either PNEG or JPEG. PNEG images have more quality but the files are also larger.

As far as where to put the background once I've completed it? I noticed the mug shots for players are the player name and birthday, is it the same for the backgrounds?
