Re: Franchise Hockey Manager 3 - Discussion Thread
Career mode is the main mode in FHM, the sandbox modes (including historical and fictional) are "only" a bonus. We have a project planed for world-wide historical play but that is something for the future, especially the more years we go back.

My 2 cents is that price is not important at all. I have 3K+ hours on EHM, spent 12 euro on that, how much it is per hour? It wouldn't change a thing if EHM had the same price as FHM...nino33 wrote: In the same time frame I've bought the new EHM and the last two versions of FHM, and FHM has cost me more than 4 times the price of EHM

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager 3 - Discussion Thread
Ah, I misunderstood then. I have bought all three versions of FHM when they were released (pre-ordered them actually). I have also bought EHM07 several times (lost codes, etc.) and recently paid for EHM1 as well (when it first came out).nino33 wrote:If you paid only $30 you either didn't buy FHM2 or haven't bought FHM3 (I said "in the same time frame"); compared to EHM FHM is expensive, which is all I said
I support both games, but don't love FHM yet
And the EHM update is coming (as Riz has said, the birth of his daughter this summer has understandably limited his ability to do extra work "off the clock") & with the upcoming update it'll be the third different season that the new EHM supports
I am looking forward to the next EHM update. Love what Riz is doing with the game.

I agree with this. I will continue to buy both as long as they are available to support the developers efforts and for my own personal hockey simulation addiction (phsa).Alessandro wrote:My 2 cents is that price is not important at all. Shamelessly bumping up my review. I think it's a good starting point for people who wonders "should I buy the game"?Alessandro wrote:I wrote a review of the game. You can read it here: http://thehockeywriters.com/franchise-h ... -3-review/

World wide ? You mean every league (top ones) or ? It would be cool that you put canada cups in historical mode...

I think your best bet is the FHM site's Mod section http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/fhm-3-mods/Cor99 wrote:Can anyone recommend a good facepack if there are any?
I believe there's a different way of naming things in FHM3 (from FHM2), and people over there are in the process of editing FHM2 mods so they can be used with FHM3

Yeah, and I heard that in the near future a "All in One" pack might show up on Steam Works once we have enabled it.

I'll upload my facepack (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =566750802) that's currently on EHM's workshop to FHM's as soon as the workshop is up!Sebastian Palkowski wrote:Yeah, and I heard that in the near future a "All in One" pack might show up on Steam Works once we have enabled it.

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager 3 - Discussion Thread
Is there any possibility that the leagues in the world list come playable? Like Denmark, Hungary, Belarus etc.?
Have been playing like two days and i like that. Even when i have to start over, because game crashes when im Mexico national team and suomi-sarja team KJT manager. They play same time, KTJ Qualifying games to mestis and Mexico division WC. Resing doesnt help..

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager 3 - Discussion Thread
The game started out promising until I can't advance because my team in Federal Hockey League doesn't have enough under 25 players to dress. I got no warning about this until game time and there was no immediate solution, not even a forfeit option. As a result had to start a new game. Something to improve upon I guess.

That should not happen. I will make sure it is fixed/tweaked in the next update. Thanks for reporting it!StarboardWinger wrote:The game started out promising until I can't advance because my team in Federal Hockey League doesn't have enough under 25 players to dress. I have to edit my above post: you should be able to sign a FA immediately during the pre/normal season, sou you should not be stuck at that point. If it was/is not possible, please let me know so I can further check it out.

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager 3 - Discussion Thread
I hmmed and hawd about which one to get for a long time and then EHM went on sale and I snagged it. I took a lot of time to learn and understand how to play the game. It's fun and I get a lot of amusement from it. Then FHM went on sale. I bought it and looked at it. It looks very interesting but I am not ready to invest the same amount of time to learn how to play something as complicated as EHM was. Sure, it's second nature now, but I remember those first few weeks. I own it, so now it's a matter of, after enjoying the latest EHM, if the new FHM is worth the time investment. It certainly looks flashy.Alessandro wrote:Shamelessly bumping up my review. There's no editor right now.
For the logos, I think you can use this pack from FHM 2 http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/f ... -pack.html

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager 3 - Discussion Thread
Game crashes every time I start a international game. Wish I never took the job to manage Japan in the IIHF Div 3.Game always crashes every time I try to sim or play the game. I'm in the QMJHL playoffs at the moment but cannot advance because it won't let me get around Japan's game. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem or get around it? Really enjoying this game and just want to play without making a new file.

Also, it says "Franchise Hockey Manager 3 has stopped working" and then proceeds to shut down.Franchise17 wrote:Game crashes every time I start a international game.
