Just filter the results to get rid of the players that are not interested:

Pick the scout you're thinking of, then Filters--->Configure--->Ask assistant to filter unrealistic targets.

I do that with the CHL import draft as well.

Also, make sure you filter OHL protected areas

Hey GUys I have an EHM 2005 scouting issue/problem I was hoping someone could help me with.

I notice that when I scout the draft some players of course get glowingg reviews from my scouts with a report card showing A's and B+'s etc. So I draft the best ones. But then I notice that a year or two down the road when they are playing for me or in the minors the report card for these players almost invariably change. for instance a player who had several scouts say he was excellent and had an A for shot/scoring ......now have a B- for shot scoring....this is of course concerning for me as I am thinking these guys may be busts. But is this simply a case of the report card showing me what their current attributes are now that they are property of my own organization? or did these player turn out to not be as good as my scouts have said in certain areas? they are all still very young and most play core-key roles on my team but I want to know if they WILL for instance have a A+ defensive ratings so I know where to have the practice etc.***They are still 21 and under FYI

Thanks for the help guys.

SOunds like your scout sucks. Scouting in EHM 2005 and 2007 are not exact. You have to be able to read into what the scouts are saying. Of course it changes...depends on how the kid develops etc. Not just what they have now, but what the scout sees for future...all a part of it. Sometimes guys bust. You are not going to get Gretzky every time. Even the top rated scouts screw up.

My scouts are 19 + in Judging Potential (all 4 of them) sometimes they vary in opinion for what the player's current role would be but thats it. does the report card change to what their current skills are? Cause I notice that a player 's Shooting will jump to 16 and his report card goes to A- from B+ for shot scoring.

1. Just cause they are 19-19 does not mean they do not make mistakes
2. Scout reports are not the be all and end all to how a player is going to be.
3. Report cards are subjective
4. Sometimes they reach the potential a scout says he will have at age 16,18,19,21,22,23....sometimes they don't.
5. Sometimes a scout opinion changes, just like in real life.
6. When picking players go with your gut based on what YOU think he will do. I rarely pick the guy all my scouts tell me to pick

I also NEVER look at the report card anymore. No point.
How is the kid performing? Scoring? high average rating? hitter? fighter? Size? Speed?

I have seen scouts give guys with all red attributes who never make it out of junior A's in skating. I have seen scouts give guys with alll green skating attributes D's. Depends on the scout and what happened the game he saw the kid play.
The scouts in this game are all over the map. I hardly ever trust anything they say and go off what I think. Works for me.
In the game I am playing right now....I invariably have a 2nd rounder bust, and a 7th rounder make my team in about his 4th or 5th year after draft. My scouts never phase me. I often let them go when asking big $ for new contracts and just hire new ones who ask for like $50K

You can't sort that. You have to look at each player for that

i would send 3 scouts at the start of the season like this: one to denmark top division with filter to look only for players U20, then one to denmark junior league and the 3rd scout denmark overall with filter U20. In 2 months you have all you need just put guys on shortlist and you have it.

I don't think you can scout the Import draft unless you are with a CHL team.
I'd scout like Kopi said plus I'd check for Danish players playing abroad by doing a filtered player search and then scout each of them individually

Sorry if it's been said, I can't seem to find: Are the letter grades in the report card current ability to potential ability. If it's current, is it compared to other their age, their league, or what?
