Tomas Surovy has gone to Europe, which team?

I'm getting back on going thru these posts today, leaving this post for myself so I can google him up as I get here, or if someone already knows where he is playing this season, please do tell! :-)

Hmm... I have no idea about Surovy.

I know that he left Lulea, and signed with Linkopings HC before joining Phoenix...
He was contracted by Linkoping for a month, but he had a clause in his contract, he chose to use it, and left for NHL.

I thought he was gonna play with PHO this season, but Im confused. :dunno:

According to TSN he's been "assigned to European team", which sounds like, maybe he's contracted to Phoenix, but chose to rather play this season in Sweden than AHL, if he had such a clause in his contract. But you never can tell with TSN, they are very vague on anything outside of the NHL. North American media is like the Romans back in the year whateverBC: behind the horizon of the Atlantic Ocean there is an abyss, where no one has ever dared enter...

Ahem... well anyways, I bet there'll be more news on this later in other sources aswell. :-D

Surovy had one of those deals. Make Phoenix, play in Phoenix..don't and go back to where you came from in Europe, or where you want to be in Europe.

I think these deals need to be handled with care. I believe the player should remain contracted to the NHL team..but I dunno.

Is he still contracted to Phoenix, or did they cancel the deal because he didn't make the team?

For example Espoo Blues' Mikko Lehtonen has contract with Boston, but he's playing at Espoo because he didn't make the team, and apparently didn't want to go to AHL either. Don't know how these should be handled though.

In Lehtonen's case it's easy, cause he's only 19 in the game --> Rights to Boston, remain in Espoo.

But what about older players? :-k

Like I said, not sure..From a N American point of view I would say leave him with Phoenix for example, and play in minors.

Also...it seems most play the NHL and would want the choice to keep/cut Surovy. But..then again on the Euro side of things..Surovy is playing there.

I vote...send him home..Phoenix is not going to call him back, so he should be in Sweden with rights to Phoenix.

Besides, if they send him to Sweden, while still under contract, it's not the same as sending to AHL, from where he can be recalled at any time as long as waiver rules are followed. If he's playing in Europe, I doubt Phoenix are planning to call him up anytime soon, or they wouldn't have let him go all the way back there at all.

Rights to Phoenix, player to Sverige, I think.

So after doing a considerable amount of research, I've finally found all the mistakes/omissions for the Toronto Maple Leafs organization and it's affiliates: Toronto Marlies (AHL), and Columbia Inferno (ECHL)

STAFF

Marlies Staff

Main thing here is MIKE PENNY (not TIM penny lol) is the Manager, and since J.Jackson got promoted to LEAFS Ass. GM, we can finally have Mike Penny have full GM control (see below).

http://www.torontomarlies.com/team/StaffDirectory.asp

http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app?serv ... /prospects

Leafs Staff - http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... e&id=12778
- Main thing here are the Scouts, they are all existing in EHM, just need to be added to the Leafs, they do suck however so a boost is needed but..i guess that's not allowed.

- Also Jack Johnson was recently Promoted to Assistant GM, also needs a boost :: shrug :: lol

heres the link...

http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... eid=336299 - J Jackson

Leafs/Marlies fixes

Marlies Roster -

http://www.torontomarlies.com/team/index.asp

(It's out of date, and I'll mention everything that's missing/still there, otherwise still accurate up to end of last season)

Theres a Ryan Graham on the Leafs, don't know where he came from but I don't think he was ever Leafs property. The following link shows that he was on a tryout with the Wild recently and released, so needs to be removed.

http://www.cbc.ca/cp/hockey/070920/h092008A.html - graham released, not on any team

Also heres a handy website showing that the following players are no longer Leafs property..

http://www.geocities.com/floridapanther ... e2007.html

Moro, Kukumberg

Links for Marsh and Ford signings follow respectively...

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=192

http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=446

Tyler Beechey no longer on the team. (as evidenced by Roster page, as old as that page maybe, it's still recent enough to incorporate that, I don't think Beechey played at all last year)

Darryl Boyce - Property of Marlies (rights and conractually, not leafs) http://www.journalpioneer.com/index.cfm ... 057&sc=119

Michel Leveille - Signed by Marlies as well
http://goblackbears.cstv.com/sports/m-h ... 07aaa.html

Marlies sign goalie Jeff Jakaitis - http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=454

Also Colin Murphy, although he is on the Marlies as he should be, he's not contracted to them and his rights are owned by the Leafs, which is wrong.. he is Marlies property.

http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=437

Columbia Roster --> http://www.columbiainferno.com/team/players/
This is accurate except for a couple of signings which I will mention. Most of the players need to be added, and current players in ehm on the team need to be removed, i'm pretty sure the rosters have been stagnant for the last years, about time they were cleaned up!

Owen Fussey is Columbia's not Marlies (as evidenced by roster)

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=201

Patrick Wellar was recently signed (Wash prospect if not mistaken, boy he fell..lol)

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=209

Ren Fauci - resigned

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=207

and.. Kelly Thomson

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=204

Random Player

remove MARCUS GLOVER, no idea who he is, perhaps Jeff Corey but prob not, I can't find him, most likely a faked player that somehow ended up on the team

ROBERT GHERSON - was on the Inferno (columbia) a year ago, but isn't anymore. (link shows him being on columbia in 2006)

http://www.ahlfans.net/forums/lofiversi ... t4629.html

MISSING Playerss

(following on roster sheet and participated in prospects tourney)

Jeff Corey - never seen him in the game, but played average role for Marlies

Prospects

For some reason, the Leafs still have rights over players they drafted like 10 years ago. According to new CBA, no more rights over those players..

2 links or this, first is Leaf's prospect page (official), and another is a forum topic which proves that none of those players are leafs property. THere is one discrepancy, Shinkar is listed for the LEAFS, but according to forum is no longer Leaf's property. Up to you guys.

http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app?serv ... /prospects

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=399085

Im pretty sure Shinkar isn't infact, his birthplace says UFA lol in the leafs page, so I think someone messed up.

And that's it!

Thanks for the info. Ufa is actually a city in Russia, so don't worry about it. ;)

NHL SCap Leafs

Add

1. Brent Aubin

Aubin signed last season...scroll down read article. However, in EHM 1 year junior left, so just as unsigned prospect for LEafs. Give them 2 years. He has a deal in real life $500K per year, 2 years, 2 way. With Quebec Remparts in EHM.

2. reid Cashman

Signed as UFA, undrafted out of college. 1 year, 2way $585K...RFA at end if qualified. Just assign rights to Leafs for two years as still has 1 year college eligibility left.

3. Simon Gamache

Sign to contract. 25 years, no junior left. In EHM is with Bern Suisse league. Contract is 2 years $487,500 2 way deal (average of two years is the value I gave). Sign to deal.

4. David Ling

David is with Moscow Dynamo in game. He signed 1 year $475K 2 way deal with Leafs. UFA at end of deal re age. Sign to contract as has no junior league eligibility.

Found faked players on Leafs roster

1. Real life: Jaime Sifers. In EHM it is George Cook..who is UFA, no team at all, no rights.DOB in game 1/26/83. STATS, SIZE, Birth year the same. Please update name, history, dob etc. And Sifers real contract with the leafs is 1 year $585K two way deal.

Please sign to contract with leafs for Sifers...as has no team in EHM.

2. Real life: Alex Foster. In EHM is Ryan Graham.

already contracted to leafs in EHM...needs to have history, name, dob corrected. Needs new contract as well, as one in the game is incorrect. Foster contract re NHL Scap is $660 1 year, 2 way deal. RFA if qualified.

Thanks Tasku..finding too much here I know..will give D88 at heads up in the other thread about these two as well.

Drop

1. Brad Brown--UFA, no team known. On tryout with Buffalo Sabres..no contract though.

2. Todd Ford NHL UFA, has signed AHL deal only with Marlies. Is not property of any NHL team at this time. No finances known on deal with marlies. Guess at it I guess..let EHM assign.

3. DOminic D'Amour--NHL UFA, no team known
4. Luke Fulghum--NHL UFA, no team known
5. Tyson Marsh -- NHL UFa, no team known
6. Martin Sagat--NHL UFA, no team known
7. Chris St Jacques--NHL UFA, no team known
8. Erik Westrum NHL UFA, signed to play with Ambri Piotta (NLA)..not sure what the heck team or league that is.

YAY! Not screwing up this time.

Done. Good job on finding those two fakers, Batdad
totalyl didn't see this, will now edit post to remove wat's done. Good job on finding Sifers lol, and I really don't think Graham is Foster, Graham is a real player and he exists look at this.. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... B%5D=80203

Then again the DOB's do match, but histories are diff. Dunno

Oh also, all the Leafs players/prospects have messed up Heights/Weights, they need to be updated, but they're in Kg and Metres lol. Do they affect the gameplay? or is it soley a visual detail?

I have a pdf file which contains the most up to date info, it's the official training camp roster for the leafs. Lemme know.

Hey Zeppelin, wow lots of info there...

Originally there were two Ryan Graham's in the game, this one who you've linked us is real player and he has not been edited, while the other Ryan Graham was indeed faked Foster - the histories matched almost exactly. So now we're left with only one Ryan Graham, and he's the one you're referring to.

Misc to do

1. If you can remove Tim Connolly's injury....not concussed anymore. Not sure if we can though

add

NONE

Drop

None

Wow..that was easy!

DONE!!! :joy: (Except for Tim Connolly)
In the game Tim Connolly is listed as "FUTURE_PERMANENT_CONCUSSION_3", which to my knowledge means he is not all there in the head. Not sure if we want to remove it.

We can remove his nine months concussion at the start of game though... I'll go ahead and do that...

Another signing I forgot by the Marlies, well 2 signings..

Peter Tsimikalis

Nathan Perrott

http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=439

EDIT--> I hope there aren't any problems with what I posted before right? If I can help lemme know. I'm hoping they're in the game for the upcoming update. Thanks!

Peter Tsimikalis does not exist in the game database, Nathan Perrot is already in Toronto Marlies in this database.

Leaving a note to myself: NHLSCap doesn't have Brent Sopel's salary information yet, check that out later, won't ya Tasku?

And what do you guys think we should do with Steve Downie's suspension for 20 games. Why I'm hesitant, is because this happened during exhibition game, so if I suspend him in the update, he'll have it already in the start, before he could've hit anyone.

Not making much sense right now, I know, haven't even had my morning coffee yet...

Not sure...have the Wings signed Sopel? He was there on a tryout...have not heard if he signed yet.

I say give Downine the 20 games.
