First of all looks awesome the idea of challenges and how it all works in here
Curiosity maybe offtopic, this upload and stats was everything done by TBL crew? Or it is an extension to phpbb?

I believe Archibalduk wrote it from scratch but I'm not positive.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
I think we should add some kind of a max ice-time rule for the next challenge, it's not realistic to have your forwards with over 25 ATOI like Rono (just an example, nothing personal). Since individual points on players is part of the scoring it scews the numbers quite a bit. Don't think we need any complicated rules just a max ATOI for D-men (25-26ish min maybe?) and max ATOI for forwards (20-22ish min?).
Something to think about atleast.

I Believe we have tried that. Found it made little to no difference. IF anything it made the guys who overuse players better, because they did not get injured at end of year.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
We had a very complicated version of it during the time we used homegrown players. I think we should have it because it's not realistic to have ATOI of 25+ on your forwards.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
True it is not realistic, and maybe setting simple limits will help in terms of some things. But not 100% sure it will make much of a difference as to who does well. I have never done that overplaying of guys, double shifting or playing only 3 or 2 lines for example, and Ronc and those types rarely if ever out perform me in challenges.
However, it is something to look at for sure.

Yeah, i'm not saying it gives those who does it a big advantage or anything, it's just very unrealistic.

I don't know if it's another thing we need to regulate. As Batdad said, the people who over player their guys usually get hit with tons of injuries.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Is that true though? Keeping Rono as an example, his first line has played 722/738 games these 3 seasons with ~25:00 ATOI, doesn't look like alot of injuries to me.

Doesn't matter to me if he "actually" gets them or not. The potential is there. Each will play it the way they want to. I really do not feel like putting more restrictions will help. We have enough.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
I usually let the head coach set lines, so my 1st line plays around 22/23 mins. My first line is Hall - Stamkos - Eberle, Stamkos has missed a few games (4 due to minor injuries), with Hall and Eberle missing not a single game in three seasons. I usually have 6 defenders on my roster en they all have played at least 80 games in regular season, with intense training. So ice-time seems to have no real influence.
edit: I always have a 20 man roster, so everyone plays every game.

Yeah, i'm not sure ice time actually has anything at all to do with injuries in the game.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Sorry if I'm missing it:
Can you sign your prospects in the middle of a season (specifically season 1?). Senyshyn is looking good, and I wanted to get him for the second half so he doesn't burn a year (if he stays up the whole rest of the way).

With our old challenge rules, I'd say no but with these newer ones we've been using, we don't have anything saying you can't. So go ahead and sign him.Asher413 wrote:Sorry if I'm missing it:

Not sure. Archi has been pretty busy. I'm sure he'll post them once he's able to.m0fownz0r wrote:while on the subject of results, what about the Challenge #38 (Sharks) final result?

HA! Irrelevant. In the newest rule-set, from the juniors the player must wait until next season (I knew that too...)bruins72 wrote:With our old challenge rules, I'd say no but with these newer ones we've been using, we don't have anything saying you can't. Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
My biggest question is how do we create a challenge that is challenging for the top guys here (same guys every challenge) so even they struggle, without killing everybody else? I get bored when watching the stats section already for this challenge seeing the same widely spread out standings as every time.

That will be tough without having Riz rework the tactics part of the game completely.

Just a random thing I don't see in the 'new' rules: In the past you could not trade on draft day, is that still the case?

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Just a few questions about challenge 39, if anyone knows the answers please help.
1. Are we allowed to sign unsigned prospects midway through the season?
2. Is it mandatory to trade players veteran age or older every offseason or just the first one?
3. It says that we are allowed to trade one player under the veteran age in season 2, and starting in 2017-2018 we are allowed to trade people 28 Does this mean the 2017 offseason (2017 summer) or 2018 offseason (2018 summer)?
4. Let's say a player becomes the veteran age midway through the year. Can we trade them midway through the year or are we only allowed to make trades in the offseason?
Thanks,
leafsrock67

1. Yes (see above), but I found that the new CBA in the game doesn't let them join until June.leafsrock67 wrote:Just a few questions about challenge 39, if anyone knows the answers please help.

2. No
4. I understand that the answer is yes, but I'm not 110% certain.
