Has anyone else tried to create the Australian League?

I'ts driving me insane, I'm trying to make it run from April to August and nothing works Whenever I go to load the game and pick a team the list of teams is blank. If i start unemployed the league has no teams and no league dates.

I thought it may have been because it over laps the game data update from June to July but I changed the schedule dates and still have the same issues. Does any body have any ideas?

You need not only to update the structure, but also to create a new schedule...
I don't know how OHL scheduling works. Can you describe it so that we can help? I'm pretty sure the league needs a template and that may be a bit complicated
OHL schedule runs from 3rd week of September to 3rd week of march then usually playoffs from the following week until end of April/May depending on the series if any go to 7 games or not.. Also keep in mind the OHL 2 all star games against Russia select as well during the season..

Is there an issue with the continental system in EHM or the editor? I created a continental league for South America identical to a continental league I created for North America. The North American league appears under the Leagues tab but the South American league doesn't Furthermore, the South American league isn't playable or detailed like the North American league is. As far as I can tell, all aspects of it have been properly created.

I mean, how is the calendar created? Everyone faces everyone twice, for example? Or there are intra-conference or intra-division games? You need to create a template to substitute the existing one, adding the necessary games to accomodate the two extra teams. Have a look at the existing template and see if you understand anything.

Firstly, this version really makes things much easier to set correct rules for the league and playoffs.
Secondly, edit: nevermind, for some unknown reason at first editor didn't show/load all possible options!
Thirdly, I guess that it's impossible to set different rules for different games in the same series?
For example:
Game 1 to 6: 10 min overtime; 4 on 4; shootouts if still tied, but 7th game: continues 20 minutes overtimes till winner is decided?

Or try PM'ing Riz on here. He's responded to me before with a lot of detail. As long as we don't pester him I'm sure it'll be fine.

Didn't named post you the screens?
Probably the problem is that you need to wait for season 2 or "1.5"

Actually I think the MLS is like that in FM, but obviously it has an 'MLS-friendly' option of selecting an alternative start-date for that.

On which screen did not all of the possible options appear? Was it one of the drop-down menus or something else? I have a special setting which can force the drop-down menu options to be updated with a new version if I have changed some of the options. I'd be interested to know because if I forgot to force the update with this latest version then I'll do it with the next release.

It might be worth taking a look at the options for some of the playoffs (e.g. NHL and AHL). There is a Replay Rules setting on the Schedule Dates screen which might allow you to do exactly what you want. I have a feeling the Match Rules sets the rules for the normal games (i.e. games 1-6) and the Replay Rules determines what happens in the final game where a winner must be determined (i.e. game 7).

The copy and paste makes a clone of the existing item. So it won't be the copy and paste function that causes any issues but some of the settings within which need to be adjusted (or possibly the teams' Division settings).

I'm not entirely sure what you're looking to achieve here. The league and structure settings must be assigned to a nation rather than a continent. For a league to be playable, you must set up relevant entries for rules and structures, financial rules, transfer rules and ruling body.

I just spotted that the default Team Picking Rules setting when creating a new stage is not what I intended. It ought to be "From Database by Base Comp". I'll fix this in the next release. But just to make everyone aware that you'll need to check this setting when adding a new stage (as typically you'll want to use "From Database by Base Comp").

It seems to be something unrelated to the league rules/structures. Simply loading an un-edited 2016 DB into the Editor and saving it causes it to crash. I'll do some digging.

As I said before, copying and pasting an entry creates a clone. Any crashes will be unrelated to the copy and paste function - it'll either be an issue with a setting that needs updating or, in this case, a wider issue with the Editor.

EDIT: It seems to relate to the Club Validation setting. If you disable this setting via the Settings screen then the DB works (it will only work with new DBs and not those affected by the crash).

EDIT 2: I've found the issue and it should be a quick fix.

Here is a new version which consists of a minor fix (version 0.1.3): http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 41#p206841

The previous version incorrectly ordered the Clubs table in databases other than TBL Rosters v8.2 (which causes a crash when starting a new game). This new version fixes this and will repair any corrupted databases (just load and save the database in the new version of the Editor).

CHANGELIST: VERSION 0.1.3 (18-Dec-2016)

Fixes and Improvements:
  • Fixed in-game crash caused by an error with the Clubs Validation setting (any corrupted databases can be repaired by loading and saving the database in this new version of the Editor);
  • Fixed the default Team Picking Rules setting when creating a new stage in the Rules and Structure screen; and
  • Forced a new version of the settings in the "common" folder.
Known Limitations and Bugs:
If you encounter an issue which is not listed below then please do report it here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 10&t=14290
  • Not all of the Club Competition Basic Rules data is entirely user-friendly at this stage;
  • EHM 2004-2007 support not fully operational;
  • Not all data can be added or deleted yet (an error message will be displayed where this is not possible);
  • Clicking on the Cancel button when viewing the Open Database/Saved Game dialog will disable the Open buttons, requiring a restart of the Editor;
  • The mouse cursor does not change when hovering over certain editing fields which makes certain tasks, such as editing Club Contracted/Playing For, not immediately obvious (the field should be clicked on in order to display the selection dialog window);
  • The improved table display has not yet been rolled out to all tables/screens;
  • Table column widths have not yet been set (and will frequently appear too narrow/small);
  • Certain icons could be improved/replaced;
  • Drop-down menus are all sorted alphabetically which is not always appropriate;
  • Set a non-player's Nation Contract is completely untested and may cause a crash;
  • Altered club competition names do not carry across the various editing screens;
  • Only csv/txt/xml file formats are supported at the moment; and
  • The default file format and editor text settings do not currently work.

If you were using a roster update other than TBL Rosters v8.2 then the cause of the new game crash will have been the issue I fixed. If, however, it is not that then it'll be a separate issue.
