According to my Finnish source Sopel signed with Chicago, although Wings also offered him contract. One year, no value specified.

I'll add Downie's suspension, thanks for the second opinion.

There has been some significant transfer action already. Whats the plan for them?

Karel Pilar
02-Oct-07: Claimed off waivers by the Atlanta Thrashers from the Chicago blackhawks.

Hmm... I vote to keep him in Atlanta, but deadline was set to Sept 29th.

Brad Schell

Brent Sopel
29-Sep-07: Signed with Blackhawks as mentioned above.

Mark Smith
29-Sep-07: Signed as a free agent by the Calgary Flames to a one-year contract.

-------------------------------DEADLINE (?)------------------------------

Joel Bouchard
30-Sep-07: Released by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Adam Courchaine

My suggestions after checking whats been updated in the beta...

Karel Pilar
Move to ATL.

Brad Schell
Move to Providence Bruins.

Brent Sopel
Move to CHI

Mark Smith
Move to CGY

-------------------------------DEADLINE (?)------------------------------

Joel Bouchard, David Tanabe, Bryan Berard, and Anson Carter
Already set as free agents -> No problems

Tomas Fleischmann
Already signed at WSH

Dan McGillis
Contracted at NJ -> Should be Free agent

----------------------------------------------------------------------

These are depending on when the deadline is set, but if we dont keep is at Sept 29th,
these kind of lists will run on forever...

Adam Hall
Free agent -> Keep as Free agent/ Move to PIT?

Mike Weaver
PIT -> Keep or move to VAN?

Sheldon Brookbank
CLB -> Keep or move to NJ?

Adam Courchaine
Free agent -> Keep as Free agent/ Move to BOS?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

(Hmm... its too late for me to write long posts... Im getting confused here,
and I guess everyone else who decided to take some time to read my posts too...)

I was planning to research salaries too, but its way past bedtime. Ill do it at work tomorrow 8-)
unless someone does it before me.

Good night

Does that mean Pilar will be placed in CHI although he was only there for a couple of days?

I agree that 29th should be the deadline, but I think Pilar should be exempt from it.

Teeth brushed, good night for REAL now :-D

Yep, there has to be a deadline, otherwise this won't be ready until the next Christmas roster freeze.

I've moved Pilar to Atlanta, Schell and Smith to the correct teams, Sopel we already had.

If you could find Mark Smith's wage when NHLSCap has it, that would be great. :-)

Now... please... let me work on staff, hold my calls... :-D

Marlies

I know it should be to the 29th of September, but alot of news trickles in later..

http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=463

So the Marlies have infact signed Joe Cooper (out of NCAA), Bryan Muir (was on tryout), Todd Perry.

Also signed Patrick Wellar (FROM Columbia, as Columbia had signed him a month b4, I suppose to help out Columbia salary wise).

Wellar, Cooper, and Todd Ford (columbia player I believe, so not really a move) were SENT TO Columbia.

This is who should be left on the Marlies..

http://www.torontomarlies.com/team/index.asp

I previously mentioned a Jeff Corey, he is no longer a Marlie, so don't worry about that.

Other

Staffan Kronwall was also sent down from the MAPLE LEAFS to the Marlies

Phil Oreskovic (signed earlier this year), was sent to COLUMBIA

Thanks for the info again, Zeppelin.

Although the AHL is not correctly being updated, we might get to it later.

Peter Tsimikalis

Nathan Perrott

http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=439

EDIT--> I hope there aren't any problems with what I posted before right? If I can help lemme know. I'm hoping they're in the game for the upcoming update. Thanks!

Peter Tsimikalis does not exist in the game database, Nathan Perrot is already in Toronto Marlies in this database.
Can we...create him? I could've sworn that he's been there in a diff database, ill look around (I have a whole bunch from over the year..), but otherwise can we create him? He's got decent upside.

EDIT: Yup he does exist, with correct histories and all in "another" db, perhaps he was deleted? Is there a player specific ID number I could give you guys?

And also..I think it's paramount that the AHL be updated along with the NHL, (I mean if ya got the info right there anyways :-p ), considering how entwined they are.

Currently we have half a dozen people working on different leagues in this update, and no one has come forward to update the AHL. We'll have to see if someone (maybe myself) will take that project once all the other leagues have been added to the update.

You can always create him for your own database if you like ;)

Just a quick question - how do you handle contracts with performance bonuses?

For example Carey Price.
Mr. Price has a base salary of 850.000$, and a performance bonus of 1.350.000$
Do you set his basesalary to (850.000$ + 1.350.000$ = 2.200.000$),
or do you have any other clever ways of getting around this problem?

I was just thinking that setting it to 2.2M might cause problems when its about to extend the contract,
since he is most likely going to demand high figures...

Lol!

But there are others too - especially when FIN and SWE gets updated.

You were talking about Tuuka Rask's move to Boston earlier.
His bonuses are crazy! (Just know the numbers, not the details).

Yearly salary: 850.000
Pot. Bonuses: 2.350.000

Caphit 3.200.000.

Do the bonuses affect cap?

If they don't I don't think we need to worry about it... :-k

Yes, bonuses DO effect the cap, even if the player doesnt reach the requirements.

In the game, the bonuses do not affect the cap until the next season if the player makes the category that the bonus is for. So...for example Crosby is $850K with tons of bonus potential. If he makes the bonus, his cap hit the next season would be $850 plus the bonus $...

So it is not something to really worry about for the start of the game.

So what do you suggest is the best way to handle these cases, for the SWE and FIN updates.

Since we cant set bonuses in the editor,
should Tuuka Rask get a 850K contract or a 3.2M contract?

Well...since we are doing this all again next season I assume...We can give him $850 this season, look at NHL SCap or that other one Archi mentioned (forget its name) and use the bonuses from that as his cap hit next season when we do this all over again. :-D

zeppelin89 wrote:So after doing a considerable amount of research, I've finally found all the mistakes/omissions for the Toronto Maple Leafs organization and it's affiliates: Toronto Marlies (AHL), and Columbia Inferno (ECHL)

STAFF

Marlies Staff

Main thing here is MIKE PENNY (not TIM penny lol) is the Manager, and since J.Jackson got promoted to LEAFS Ass. GM, we can finally have Mike Penny have full GM control (see below).

http://www.torontomarlies.com/team/StaffDirectory.asp

http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app?serv ... /prospects

Leafs Staff - http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... e&id=12778
- Main thing here are the Scouts, they are all existing in EHM, just need to be added to the Leafs, they do suck however so a boost is needed but..i guess that's not allowed.

- Also Jack Johnson was recently Promoted to Assistant GM, also needs a boost :: shrug :: lol

heres the link...

http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... eid=336299 - J Jackson

Leafs/Marlies fixes

Marlies Roster -

http://www.torontomarlies.com/team/index.asp

(It's out of date, and I'll mention everything that's missing/still there, otherwise still accurate up to end of last season)

Theres a Ryan Graham on the Leafs, don't know where he came from but I don't think he was ever Leafs property. The following link shows that he was on a tryout with the Wild recently and released, so needs to be removed.

http://www.cbc.ca/cp/hockey/070920/h092008A.html - graham released, not on any team

Also heres a handy website showing that the following players are no longer Leafs property..

http://www.geocities.com/floridapanther ... e2007.html

Moro, Kukumberg

Links for Marsh and Ford signings follow respectively...

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=192

http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=446

Tyler Beechey no longer on the team. (as evidenced by Roster page, as old as that page maybe, it's still recent enough to incorporate that, I don't think Beechey played at all last year)

Darryl Boyce - Property of Marlies (rights and conractually, not leafs) http://www.journalpioneer.com/index.cfm ... 057&sc=119

Michel Leveille - Signed by Marlies as well
http://goblackbears.cstv.com/sports/m-h ... 07aaa.html

Marlies sign goalie Jeff Jakaitis - http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=454

Also Colin Murphy, although he is on the Marlies as he should be, he's not contracted to them and his rights are owned by the Leafs, which is wrong.. he is Marlies property.

http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=437

Columbia Roster --> http://www.columbiainferno.com/team/players/
This is accurate except for a couple of signings which I will mention. Most of the players need to be added, and current players in ehm on the team need to be removed, i'm pretty sure the rosters have been stagnant for the last years, about time they were cleaned up!

Owen Fussey is Columbia's not Marlies (as evidenced by roster)

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=201

Patrick Wellar was recently signed (Wash prospect if not mistaken, boy he fell..lol)

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=209

Ren Fauci - resigned

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=207

and.. Kelly Thomson

http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=204

Random Player

remove MARCUS GLOVER, no idea who he is, perhaps Jeff Corey but prob not, I can't find him, most likely a faked player that somehow ended up on the team

ROBERT GHERSON - was on the Inferno (columbia) a year ago, but isn't anymore. (link shows him being on columbia in 2006)

http://www.ahlfans.net/forums/lofiversi ... t4629.html

MISSING Playerss

(following on roster sheet and participated in prospects tourney)

Jeff Corey - never seen him in the game, but played average role for Marlies

Prospects

For some reason, the Leafs still have rights over players they drafted like 10 years ago. According to new CBA, no more rights over those players..

2 links or this, first is Leaf's prospect page (official), and another is a forum topic which proves that none of those players are leafs property. THere is one discrepancy, Shinkar is listed for the LEAFS, but according to forum is no longer Leaf's property. Up to you guys.

http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app?serv ... /prospects

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=399085

Im pretty sure Shinkar isn't infact, his birthplace says UFA lol in the leafs page, so I think someone messed up.

And that's it!

Thanks for the info. Ufa is actually a city in Russia, so don't worry about it. ;)
Lol you didn't do anything..this is pathetic..

None of the guys I mentioned are contracted, players are missing..that GLOVER guy is still there..

lol forget this...theres another update coming out soon by a Smetana (THE Smetana whos been working on EHM since the days of riz..about 5/6 years ago)..I guess I'll just wait for that.

So much for communication, I go and put all that info out there, and all I get is that pathetic response "Thanks for the info"...at least tell me if ya had some issues with some of it.

Quite disappointing really..

That info is being kept until we update the AHL. There was a huge list of things to do, and seeing that this list you gave us was all about the AHL, I decided to skip it and work on more urgent issues.

Like I said, AHL might be updated later. There's only a limited amount of time in my schedule aswell...

Oh ok, ofcourse I knew that since that was communicated in the first place.

Sigh.

Later.

EDIT: not to mention I could've easily done it for you.

I understand the amount of work you must've put on that list, and respect you for it, it is much appreciated, but the fact remains that up to this point this update was solely for the NHL and there was no time or energy to start sliding from there to a whole another league.

You can rest assured that if we'll take AHL into this update (and I'm pretty sure eventually we will), this info you provided us with, will be looked upon and applied to the update.

Thanks.
