I like the idea of that but I think there are a lot of factors that have to be looked into outside of career histories. I love using the history to generate things like pass tendency and some ability stats.

The purpose of the tool isn't to replace researchers - it's just to provide an option where there has been nobody actively researching a league for a number of years. I'm open to suggestions, but I don't think there is anything outside of career histories and club/league reputation in the database which can be used to help generate ratings.

Oh totally agree, it would definitely help me mass-populate leagues.

This sounds like a very intriguing idea. Isn't a player's ratings also influenced by their player type/role along with CA?

Small feature request, would be great if club records could be auto-generated from club history. I had assumed the game does this automatically but doesn't look like it.

I have a problem.
So I moved Adirondack to Grand Rapids, which is also a move from the Eastern Conference to Western Conference and from the East Division to the North Division (Im using the 1998/99 DB).
For some reason, GR is still in the East Division and Eastern Conference despite me changing everything for Grand Rapids.

I also have a small feature request: Could there be a mass edit function that allows your to change players' birth years?

Would it be possible in future updates when searching for a team be able to sort them from which league they are in. So instead of searching for every team you want to edit you can bring up every team in that league? I'm pretty sure you could do that in the old editor.

I have added to my to-do list (but I make no promise as to when it gets added).

Did you update the club counts, etc on the relevant Stage settings? You will need to go to the Stages tab for the league and update the club counts and possibly also the schedule dates count for the the relevant divisions and conferences.

The old 2007 Editor didn't have this function. It just let you filter by league (which the current Editor can also do). I can look into it though.

I see currencies are unassigned in most DBs, is this something the game isn't leveraging today? How does this work?

I don't know if it is different in EHM 1 but certainly in EHM 2007 they had no effect. An easy way to test is to significantly alter the exchange rates and see what happens in game.

That's exactly what I had done, didn't see any different or see the currency type change for the country when changing leagues. Everything in the menu was based on USD.

Any chance we could ever get additional options to filter players/staff down? Things like position, current contract, PA, etc.

Yes absolutely. It's very high on my list and ideally I want it in the upcoming release.

I cannot believe it has been six months since my last release of the Editor. I have added quite a lot since the last release, but not as much as I would have liked (my to-do list is still very large). My plan is to just to finish off what I've added so far, add some basic player/non-player filtering and aim to release by the end of January latest.

Small request, can you enable the allowance of year in yyyy-yy format and just have it wack off the -yy at import? This will enable me to suck in career histories at a faster pace.

Good idea! I'll add that for the upcoming release.

Will there be a possibility to send player directly from a team to another via the club roster menu? You can set them as free agents there but it would spare a few clicks (or if you do more teams a lot of time), if you could send them not only to free agency but to another team. Maybe it could be solved by a drop down menu or a choice box as it is at place of birth

You can do that.
You need to enable Club Contract on the bottom of the roster. Then just click on the team name foe each player's contract

I cant seem to find that feature. Where is it under Stages tab for the league and how do you update the club counts?

When viewing the Rules & Structures screen, there are two tabs with these settings:

- Basic Data: Number of teams (bottom left corner of the window); and
- Stages: Number of teams (bottom left corner of the window) (this setting must be set for each stage - the drop-down menu in the top right lets you switch between settings).

Seems I may have found a bug, when doing a staff.csv import if there are any blank values for a player position it changes the blanks to 20's on import...this caused a lot of cleanup for me this weekend :).

Can you provide me with some more details? What is a staff import? Is this editing an existing player or creating a new player via the Staff Importer spreadsheet? Do you have an example spreadsheet along with the database as it was before import which you can email to me please? I can then import your spreadsheet into your database in order to recreate the issue.

I have not been able to recreate the issue with my own tests. If I create a new player via an Importer spreadsheet and leave some or all of the positional attributes blank, they appear as zero in the DB.
