Considering what McKinnon is doing in real life...a little high as well. But meh...it is fun to kick butt.

I dropped his consistency as well. But I think one of the "problem" in EHM is that some important attributes are not changing with time so good prospects like him need to have already those attributes like a full grown player and that gives them an unrealistic boost when they're young.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
So season's over. Ended in the Stanley Cup final against Montreal. Lost in 5. Nevermind, the season expected everything I was thinking!
Beat Chicago in 6 in the first round. They barely qualify themselves at the 7 spot at the end of the season. Beat the Ducks in 4 (!). Beat the Blues 4-1.
Team played well but more realistic since I dropped the consistency of my top six. Varlamov has been outstanding though. Was ok in regular season but in the playoffs just wow. In 20 games, 13-7, 1.72, .940% and 9.00 rating. Started with two straight shutouts against the Hawks and allowed his first goal against them in the third period of the third game. Finished the whole playoffs with 5 shutouts.
So up to the draft now. Gonna be in good position since I acquired Toronto first pick in a trade for dumping O'Reilly. They finished 14 in the east and something like 27 in the league.
Only problems I have so far is that Duchene and Stastny still not want to negociate their contracts. So I offered some to them and we'll see where this is going. Would sucks to lose Stastny but at least Duchene is RFA.
I also found a decent d-men who was hiding in my rights, Jonas Holos, a Norwegian. Good in defense but not so much in offense but he's got better attributes than Benoit and a little bit better than Holden.
I also called up in march a couple of guys from the AHL because I had a nice streak of injuries and I ended up putting on the roster young d-men I wanted to keep in the AHL for XP. Well, there was that boy Siemens, their first pick in 2011 who was doing an ok job in the AHL did an impressive job as a 20 years old. His stats already upgraded and we'll see what I will do with him after training camp.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Ok guys just finished season 2019/20 in EHM05 with my Coyotes game. Can say was my best season ever...finished the regular season as champ with 62 wins and 20 losses...never lost on shootouts. Went to playoffs and thought my team will lose it up a bit and boy we were good...won first two rounds with 4:0 and then meet in western finals with Dallas who also came with perfect score 8:0...been winning series already 3:0 but then lost in Dallas and at the end move to finals with 4:1. In finals met our regular customer there the Leafs and beat them 4:1...so overall finished playoffs with 16:2 which never ever happend to me.
Cant wait for new season!

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Season 2 is about to start. Training camp done.
Off-season has been really calm. Wasn't searching for a specific UFA since the team did well as it was. I was only searching for a solid #3 center for the defensive line. Made offers to Ott, Legwand and I don't remember who was the other but none signed with me. They all asked to me higher than what they signed for elsewhere so I guess my reputation is still low.
Maple Leafs ended up in the 5th place at the draft lottery and to my surprise Ekblad who was rated #2 was still available at spot #5. Jumped on it right away. I needed that kind of defenseman sooo bad. The kid already got amazing attributes and will start on my second line with PP and PK. The top 15 was really overpower in the draft going to be interesting to watch all those kids go in their first NHL season. Most of them got first line attributes already.
Finally signed Duchene for a three years deal worth 5.9 per year before we got to arbitation.
So 14-15 line-up will look like this.
Landeskog-Duchene-MacKinnon
Tanguay-Stastny-Parenteau
Mitchell-Talbot-McLeod
?-Hishon-Wyman
Hejda-Johnson
Siemens-Ekblad
Holden-Holos
Varlamov
Giguere
4th line sucks. Hishon not ready for the NHL and will never be probably as well as Wyman. Will try to pick something on waivers to send down Hishon and fill the empty spot. I'll keep Wyman for the season even though he's awful, gonna disappear at the end.
Siemens makes the team as well, him and Ekblad should be an interesting combination.
Holos is that dude I found in my unsigned players. Roy and Tourigny said he was overrated and will not accomplish anything good haha I'll see that myself.
Second line is good but I'll need to draft some good fowards in the next one because Tanguay is 34 and Parenteau 31. They still have good hockey years ahead but I don't like keeping players over 35-36 in my teams normally. Plus maybe they'll ask too much if I want to resign them.
The core from last season still there and I added nice rookies so maybe we'll go to the final again!
Oh and funny fact. John Scott finished third for the Selke.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
2017-18 Regular season
Somehow I managed to win the PResident Trophy with the Canucks again. Close to cap all year, but staved off the issue when Backes got hurt for a month in November.
Team leaders:
Goals: Yakupov 45. Stenstrom 41, Penner 38, Bjugstad 33, Gutsevich 24, Backes 23, Vlasanek 19
Assists: Stenstrom 68, Bjugstad 60, Penner 54, Gutsevich 47, Yakupov 43, Weber 36
Points: Stenstrom 109 (new team record), Bjugstad 93, Penner 92
Defense goals: Hjalmarsson 15 (still pretty solid...no one else over 10..Weber only had 6)
Points: Hjalmarsson 44, Weber 42
T
Anyway...lineup I ended the season with was only different by 1 player (call up) than I started season with. Trent Shaw was sent down to the Moose and I called up Jouko Laurila a 22 year old Finn who was my 6th round pick (180th overall) in the 2014 draft. I was not expecting much from him, but he was an older player in the AHL for me who was doing okay *7.5 rating, and thought meh...fill out the fourth line...he has good size, and skates well. Not a great shot, and should be okay killing penalties once in awhile. He is 6 foot 209...so not huge by any means, and his strength is 19 so maybe scrap once in awhlie.
Well.....kid comes up and starts amazing..10 points in first 12 games on 4th line...and only 4th line. I was shocked! And he kept it up, so bumped to 3rd line. With a couple of injuries played 4 games on PP and had 5 pp points. Insanity.
So he is now a steady on the team, and prospect to move up. I am not resigning Cracknell (who has played with us for 9 years on 3 and 4 line and PK and occasional PP time) because of this guy.
Henrik had a decent second half, and got more and more pp and some 2nd line time, after playing first half of season poorly (10 points first 45 games, and in last 36 he had 26 points. That is a good omen for playoffs.
Oh and for the absolute first time in the game, this is 2017-18....
ALL 6 CANADIAN TEAMS MADE THE PLAYOFFS. ANd none play each otehr in the first round.
The Oilers are scary (Filip Forsberg, Leon Draisitl and Jamie Benn are super studs) The Sharks are scary, because of the Hasek regen in net. Detroit beat me twice, and they are the team I play in the first round.
So lineup is this and status for next year.
Penner (ufa wont resign him)-Stenstrom(signed)-Yakupov(signed)
Gutsevich signed-Bjugstad(Signed)-Backes(signed 1 more year)
Vlasanek-H Sedin (UFA wont resign, likely retire)-Laurila (6th round rookie find)
Pouliot signed(moulson trade)-Bourque-Hornak
Ouimet (UFA wont sign)-Cracknell (in and out of lineup UFA wont resign)
Aszamastsev-Weber
Sjogren-Hjalmarsson
Forbort-Niemi
Ellerby (resgined 2 years)
All d under contract again for next season
Chernov
Collberg
Both ready for next year as well. I am likely going to have some cap space next season, which I will not do anything with. Losing Penner 3.9 and Henrik 6.0 but had to give raises to Chernov, Bjugstad, and super Sundin regen (drafted 30th overall) my friend Stenstrom.
So....off we go to playoffs.
RAngers are scary.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Season 2 is over. Won the President Trophy after struggling in the first two months of the season.
Landeskog lost the leading of the NHL in points to Ovechkin at the last game of the season.
Ekblad and Siemens did really well in their first full season. Ekblad finsihed with 36 pts, 7.89 ratio and Siemens 38 pts, 7.64 ratio. Holos, who my coaches thought was an overrated piece of junk finshed the season with 26 pts and 7.33 ratio sitting at the 6th d-men spot all season. Not that bad! They all see them as a usefull part of the team now haha. In fact, except Hejda, who will probably go UFA, all my d-men got over 25 pts each and with a ratio over 7.30. I don't recall that happened to me before.
On to the playoffs against Nashville now. Beat them 4-2. Was a hard serie Rinne gives us alot of troubles. Often had performances of 35-40 saves despite the 4 defeats.
Blues in the second round. Had some problems against them in the regular season. Finally lost in 7 games. Last game was tied 4-4 and they scored in the last minute to win 5-4. Varlamov couldn't repeat his prowess from last season's playoffs. He was McDavid-ing horrible. Finished 7-6, 3.00 GAA, .889% and a 7.62 ratio.
Off to the off-season now. Draft looks horrible might trade some picks away for the next years instead.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Forgot to post update.
Something insane happened. Henrik got better...his #s at age 37 started to go back up. His skating back to 15 from 13, strength back to 15 from 12. Nutso. Never seen that before. So in the playoffs he started to get ice time again...and HE STARTED TO SCORE AGAIN.
Now I am concerned he will not retire, and I do not have the $ to resign him. This will be a project until I get him back.
Anyway..Wings in round 1..took me to 6. Flames in round 2...sweep. Jackets in round 3 (thankfully they beat the darn Oilers) sweep. And then the final I won in 5 games. STANLEY CUP CHAMPS for the 6th time.
OFf season. Draft sucked. May get 1 player with my 7 picks.
Lineup...all off season trying to get Henrik to sign but I just do not have enough money, nor flexibility to make it happen. As season starts I am actually 3.5 off the cap. Henrik #s have gone back down a bit, strength down to 13, but skating and all the tech attributes are still high as they were for most of his career (save skating which was 17 most of the time and is now 15)
He wants 4.5 and I cannot get him under deal. Noone else wants him though...so I will wait wait wait and bring him back in.
Roster:
Gutsevich-Stenstrom-Yakupov
Vlasanek-Bjugstad-Backes
Pouliot-Bourque-Barzal
Rinkinen-Hornak-Laurila
I have traded ELlerby straight up for a LW who makes $500K. I have sent Niemi down to the farm as he makes 800k, and have brought in Alex Plante (actually got him last year in a minor deal), at 500K. All to decrease my cap hit to bring Sedin back....Still not enough to make Henrik happy. darn.
ELlerby to Phoenix for a guy names Gilbert Cotnoir. Someone who i am hoping is my Cracknell replacement. Cracks, Penner, Sedin and Ouimet...all guys who were regulars on my roster last year....NOT ONE HAS FOUND A NEW TEAM FOR THIS YEAR. Still in UFA pool in November.
So Cotnoir is my 13th forward, and am not keeping a 14th hoping to land Henrik back.
Arszamastsev-Hjarlmarsson
Sjogren-Weber
Forbort-Plante
Stephen Campbell (1st round pick 29th overall in 2015) finally makes team after two years in Manitoba and 4 with Calgary Hitmen in WHL.
Chernov
Collberg
Started the season 1-2, worst start in my history of EHM.
But then...something awesome happened,
Final score Vancouver 12 Toronto 1. I think that is a new record for me for most goals in a game ever. Love it was the Loafs. No one had more than 3 points. Now 10-3 and in mid November...so yeah started bad, but now my last 10 am 9-1.
Oh and my third line guys...all a point per game so far...as are my 2nd and 1st line guys. On d--Hjalmarsson and Weber are both a point per game. So far am averaging 5 goals per game. HENRIK WHO?

You will notice...2018-19 is the first season I start with out an ORIGINAL EHM Canuck. Henrik was the last one. Kesler, Edler, Bieksa, Luongo, Burrows...quite a few still around the league. But last original 06-07 Canuck to be with Vancouver in my game was Henrik,

I'm in 2027 and the last original Canucks as close as I can remember were Edler, Henrik, Lou and Daniel. I think Edler lasted a few years longer than Henrik who beat lou by a year or 2. Daniel retired early with injury problems(around 36 I think) Kassian might still be playing somewhere but I think thats about all.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Daniel retired for me at 36, not because of injury. Just "SURPRISE" at end of july 2017.
Kassian is also still in the show, but in my DB that I am using he was still in the draft (UUDB 6.0)
So the originals do not include Booth either...who is still in LA and is doing very very well there. HAs a no trade clause at 3.5 mill.

Well, they say memory is the first thing to go
Louongo retired in 2019, Henrik in 2021, Daniel in 2023, Kesler in 2025 and Edler in 2026. at least I was right about Kassian

LOL. I will have a look to see with my guys just out of curiosity. Bieksa was just put on the block by TBL. HaS played with 3 or 4 teams since dealt him to Rags way back when

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Original Canuck property in UUDB 6.1 and where they are what up in 2018-19
Mario Bliznak-never came to North America. Still playing in Czech league
Marc Chouinard-Retired somewhere along the way had a decent but non exciting career.
Jozef Balej-never came back, still playing at age 36 for Avangard KHL
Michael Grabner-6 years with Nashville, 2 with Rangers and now with Chicago still playing 523 career games, 68 NHL goals.
Yannick Tremblay-retired (I know was trade and waiver fodder for years. Recently retired, not sure when.)
Tyler Bouck, Wade Flaherty, Josh Green, Lee Goren-waiver wire fodder. All retired
FP Guenette--Now in Europe after a few years in NAHL. Playing in Slovak 1st division league at age 34
Franklin Macdonald, Brad Moran, Joe Rullier, Nathan Smith, Jan Bulis, Tommi Santala all retired.
Danny Sabourin and Willie Mitchell just retired. Long career for Mitchell. Sabourin waiver wire fodder but spent most of career in Washington and Hershey. Mitchell spent the REST of his with NYR.
Kevin Bieksa-after being traded to NYR in 2011, spent the next 5 years with them, then two with Atlanta, 1 with LA, and 1 in Tampa. Tampa just sent him back to Rangers for a package including Kris Versteeg. 825 NHL games 43-160-203 493PIM Career avg rating 6.99
Nathan McIver--Spending a ton of time in Scotland and England. Currently playing for Newcastle Vipers British Elite League. 33 years old. Never made the show even for 1 game.
Rick Rypien--YEs Rick is alive in my game. He is playing in EIHL with Manchester, and like McIver has been over in England and Scotland since left Vancouver. Also played 3 years with Belfast Giants.
Alex Burrows--Traded away to St Louis for Adam Cracknell in 2008. Never played for ST Louis and signed as UFA with Calgary. Has never left the show. Has played 893 games scoring 106-111-217 over his career with 8 NHL teams. Avg rating is 6.41 over that time. Very average but always NHL career.
Matt Cooke-similar career to Burr, but retired.
Trevor Linden first of the crew to retire way back when. IN hall of fame.
Salo and Morrison--both retired, not sure when as neither made HOF.
Taylor Pyatt Currently UFA and on way to retirement. Played in Phoenix, Pittsburgh and St Louis. Has never played for Rangers. Too bad.
Mason Raymond playing in Europe ever since I dealt his rights to Pittsburgh. Never signed there and playing in Finland.
Jannik Hansen Traded to Pitt (Rights) with Raymond after 2011 season. A few years in Germany, then 3 years in Pittsburgh and the last two he has been with ....you guessed it where all my guys go...>New York Rangers.
Roberto Luongo 3 years with the Thrashers, 4 with Colorado since my huge deal to send him to Atlanta in 2011. Never won a Vezina, won one Stanley Cup and World Cup and an Olympic gold. Now sitting UFA at age 39 but looks like could play 10 more years from his stat line.
Luc Bourdon also alive in my game. Currently UFA at age 31. Has had a pretty non descript career since leaving Vancouver. Spent 3 years in CArolina, 3 years in Dallas and was sent back to Carolina at Trade Deadline 2018 and not resigned. 979 games (hmmm maybe should bring him back for 21 games??)- 72-230-302. Really not that bad actually.
Ryan Kesler Let go by me to UFA, played in Dallas for 4 years and last 2 in LA. 1086 NHL games 346-524-870 8.13 career avg rating. Dallas player of the year all 4 years. 3rd for Hart Trophy 1 year, Kings player of the year 17-18, and never won a Stanley Cup since refusing to resign in Vancouver.
One 93 point year in Dallas, but all the rest of career highs and bests were in VAncouver. Dummy.
Markus Naslund retired 2013. Hall of famer. 1313 games, 1034 points
Trevor Linden retired 2009, Hall of famer 1404 games 905 points
Mattias Ohlund retired 2016 Hall of famer, 1292 games 561 points
[bDaneil Sedin][/b] retired 2018 at age 36, Hall of famer 1261 1019 points
Alex Edler went to Rangers (duh) as UFA in 2014. Still there today 913 games 125-325-450 8.19 avg rating in career. All career bests *including insane 22 goal, 60 point year were with Vancouver (12-13).
Norris Trophy-2011,2013, 2014 (all with VAn), 2018 Rangers (4 Norris wow)
Hart Trophy-2014 (Van)
Conn Smythe Trohpy-2014 (Van)
Stanley Cup Champion-09,11,13,14 (Van) and 2017 RANGERS ahem 5 Stanley Cups. Not bad.
Edler I would have to say has had the best career since leaving Vancouver of all of the guys.
Cory Schneider traded to Nashville, spent 2 years there and now signed as UFA with Islanders. 3rd in Vezina voting with Preds in 2017 and runner up for Roger Crozier same year.
Henrik Sedin last one, is UFA right now, but trying to get back for reasonable $. Noone else has any interest. 38 years old.
1551 games-432-865-1297 points (see why I want him back, 3 off 1300 ugh),

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Im the canucks in 16-17, and shea weber is unhappy and wants to be traded. I have an opportunity to get him, but I have to get rid of some depth because of salary cap reasons to do it:
------------------------------------------------------
Hansen (3rd line calibre RW on the 4th line)
Tanev (5th defeseman, but pretty good)
and a 1st
for
Shea weber
------------------------------------------------------
and then I have to trade
------------------------------------------------------
Ehrhoff (playing really well as a 2nd pair defenseman (28 points, +34, 15th best d-man average rating in 60 games))
a 3rd
for
brendan gallagher (scored 72 points last year)
------------------------------------------------------
to replace hansen at a lower cap hit.
So my defense would have less depth but still be pretty good:
Hamhuis-Weber
Garrison-Seabrook
Stanton-Corrado
instead of
Hamhuis-Seabrook
Ehrhoff-Tanev
Garrison-Corrado
Im scared to do this trade because the team is playing really well of late and I dont want to destroy team chemistry. The team has the highest shots for per game in the league and the lowest shots against in the league (by 2 whole shots per game). Should I do it or "if it aint broke dont fix it"?
TLDR: should I trade depth from a really good team to get the best defenseman in the league?

I HATE THE HASEK REGEN.
Since he came on board as starter in San Jose, my team which has won the PResident Trophy constantly....is exactly
1-7-1 against the Sharks. We have scored......wait for it........10 goals.
And I have the team that has led the NHL in scoring every year since 2007-08). That is 11 seasons. Ugh.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Hahaha seems that version of the regen is pretty good.
Little off-season update. The board finally raised my budget with the cap. I did three signatures after the 1st july. Which is rare for me. Draft was horrible as expected. Did not drafted anything good except two 20 yo Russian guy who were unranked in the fourth and fifth round.
I let Hejda go, gonna give some space to Barrie now. Giguere is gone as well, wasn't too good and started to be old (38). Traded Talbot away at the draft. I think I never had a player getting that much 5 in a season, god he was horrible, good riddance! He finished the season with -19 IIRC.
Resigned Holden to a three years deal averaging 1.8 per season, the guy is doing a really good job as my fifth d-men with some PP time.
Resigned Mitchell for the fourth line, two years 650 000. Was earning 1.3 last season.
To replace Giguere I've grabbed Josh Harding to a three years deal worth 1.5 each year. Pretty darn good deal I think. If Varlamov starts choking again he could easily replace him as #1 for a few games, what Giguere wasn't able to do.
My biggest deal was Brandon Dubinsky, three years 4 millions per year. I finally have a good third line center and of top of that I can easily put him on the second line in case of injuries and on the PP as well.
Last UFA deal is Shawn Horcoff. Is old (36) but I needed someone to play along Brandon on the third line. I signed him for only 1 year worth 1.8. Funny enough Horcoff is looking like the "overly attached player". As soon as he signed, the Avs became his favorite team. Also he is already very proud to play for the Avs and he can't wait to show me what he's got. Talk about motivation.
I also spotted that Cam Fowler is really unhappy in Anaheim and that he asked for a trade....which the board refuse to do of course. So I keep harassing them to show me what they want for him and they keep refusing haha Would be fun if I could grab him!

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Interesting philosophy in terms of the FAs...more depth than anything. Good not to redo the entire team like some people. Fowler is unahppy. Wow. Go git him
So..I may end up with Henrik..although #s are dropping for him. Strength down to 11. Hope can gain some back.
Sent Rinkinen (HORRIBLY OVERRATED AND PLAYING TERRIBLE) to Chicago with Plante for a 20 year old LW with potential and a 21 year old Right side dman who both make less than the guys I sent out. Now I have almost 3 mill to play with for Hank. Hank wants 3.5. Board only let me offer 2.6 up front, so gave the rest in bonuses. This offer was on November 30. COME ON HANK>>>>WE ARE YOUR FAVORITE TEAM!!!

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Thanks I guess, IMO it should be the way to work your way up! For me there's nothing interesting about it, it's just normal. You seem to work like that also. The core is still intact and I'm really happy about the team. No need for big changes when everyone is doing fine. It's easy in EHM to just wait for the UFA and offer big contracts. I like to rebuild by the draft and since the draft sucked and I don't have that much good prospects that will come up (most of them are already in the team) I decided to do some signing.batdad wrote:Interesting philosophy in terms of the FAs...more depth than anything. I was really hesitating to sign that much guys, I'm not used to that and I don't really like it. But it's mostly for my depth like you said so it's alright! It's porbably what's missing i my team if I want the cup. I already have two strong lines with upcoming stars so no need to sign Giroux or Sedin at 7 millions each.
The problem with Fowler is that the Ducks are still thinking he is their concession player. So they won't let him go. I might try a super package deal and see what their needs are and play with that a little bit.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
I usually work through trades to fill out my roster. In the career I am playing now, I have signed as FA (in my memory) only 1 guy with NHL experience (penner). I make a minor trade or two every year and sometimes do something at Trade Deadline (only with a guy with expiring contract coming my way--sometimes I resign, and sometimes I do not)
THe FAs I have signed were either undrafted young uns (Sevc, Vlasanek and Vishnevsky) or goalies to give me 4 on my depth chart (goalies with no chance of playing for me except in case of injury). THe only exceptions to this have been Penner (1 year only) ,David Backes (when Kesler left), Paul Gaustad, Brooks Laich CHris Higgins and Jamie McGinn (Sucked). Hmm...did not realize I had done it that many times even.
and a couple of guys Matthieu Roy and Paul Szezchura signed for minor league depth.
I also signed Ville Leino undrafted..almost forgot.
Waiver picks ups are few and far between as well--MAx Talbot (sucked for me too), Keaton Ellerby and Alex Plante are the only ones.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Just hit the 30 year mark as GM (UUDB 6.1). Started as a rec. player with RoKi in finnish 3rd division. During my career I've been managing RoKi, Lada Togliatti, Tri-City Americans, Jokerit Helsinki, Philadelphia Phantoms, New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs and just started with Los Angeles Kings. I've taken a fair amount of notes, so I'll post a blog or story of some quality in the future..
I really like to follow player careers in the game, so - for my own amusement - I'll share some history of how my game has unfolded.
Sidney Crosby retired with most career games in the NHL. He played a total of 1843 games in 24 years (22 with Pens and two with Montreal) and was the second player to score 2000 points (2043). Too bad for Crosby, he never won any individual awards or the Stanley Cup.
Malkin came close and scored 1999 points in his career in 1583 games (10 seasons with Pens, 12 with Anaheim). Malkin's career was highly decoraded individually with 8 Art Ross Trophys, Calder Trophy, two Rockets and one Stanley Cup with the Ducks.
Ilya Kovalchuck retired as the leading goal scorer of the NHL history with 929 goals (793 with the Trashers). He won the Rocket Trophy seven times, Hart Trophy eight times and was the Conn Smyther Trophy winner when he led Atlanta to his only Stanley Cup.
Kovalchuck was eventually passed by Ovechkin who scored 979 goals in 1620 games (1950 points). Ovechkin won one Stanley with the Capitals, two Conn Smythe Trophys (one although the lost the finals), five Harts and six Lester B. Pearson awards.
Henrik Lundqvist won Vezina six times with four different teams. He beat Carey Price who won Vezina three times with three different teams. Lundqvist finished with 759 wins - one behind Martin Brodeur. Kari Lehtonen won 671 games, all with Atlanta.
Eric Staal played his whole career (1652 games) with Carolina and won Conn Smythe and Stanley. Filip Forsberg played all his 1695 career games with the Blue Jackets while scoring 1701 points.
On a side note; from 2018 to 2023, Erik Karlsson of the Dallas Stars won six consecutive Norris Trophys.
As of 2036, St. Louis Blues, Minnesota Wild, Columbus Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers (and Ottawa Senators, won in 1920) are without the Stanley Cup.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
I try to do the less trade/signing possible. I like building by the draft when it's good. If I trade I'm always trying to go with young guys with potential, not old guys or futur UFA. I like tu dump my UFA sometimes though. Did not do it with Hejda because I wanted his experience for the playoffs run even though he hated me back then.
When I go to the UFA I often try to fill the small holes the team got and take in veterans with experience. I like to let the space to the young guys. Like I said the three signing I did there is really rare and it's mostly because I had no choice if I wanted to fill the roster.
For the waivers...less possible. I try to go with 1 per year. Normally it fills my fourth line like I did this year with Raffl, did not resign him though.

Awesome story Tupe.
Crosby stuff made me LOL for some reason. Story of EHM...he never wins any Cups unless you control the Pens as a human GM.
In my game noone is even close to Gretzky or the top 5 in points.
Closest player still playing is Marian Hossa with 1529.
Jagr retired after 2009 with 1699.
Forsberg retired in 2014 with 1347.
Hossa has led ever since then.
Goals
Kovalchuk-35-still playing in Ottawa is 3rd all time with 744
Ovechkin at 33 in Washington is 4th with 744
Jagr is in 9th with 703
Assists
Sakic retired after 2011 and sits 6th all time with 1135
Forsberg retired 2014 with 891
Thornton retired after 2018 (or actually sitting in UFA like Henrik at age 39, but skating down to 6) with 973
Hossa is leader of active in NHL players with 852...although if I get Henrik signed he has 865.

Re: How's it going in EHM2007? What team Are You?
Thanks! Really adds to the game when you have some kind of "emotional touch" of sorts and watch how history unfolds. Especially when I was hoovering around in Europe or minor leagues and had no effect in the NHL.
Only real players of note I've had on my teams were Kovalchuck (aquired at the trade deadline for my playoff run when he was 37), Brayden Schenn and MacKinnon + Nickuhskin with the Devils (and oh boy, did they produce..).
Now in season 2036-37 and I think Connor McDavid (39) is the only real-life-player under contract (Zadorov and McKinnon have not signed with anyone).
and to add one last paragraph; I had to move to Toronto when I had the chance. Finally ended their Stanley Cup drought in 2034 after 67 years.
