What do you think about the Thomas trade rumors, Danny? I can kind of see a couple teams possibly being interested. He's got a big contract though.
So many rumours around everywhere this time of the year, I just don't pay attention to it anymore. For all I care they can trade him...they shouldn't have offered him that fat contract with a NTC to begin with.

As for the Habs, they might be in 6th place but there's just 6 points between 6th and 13th and everybody has 3-4 games in hand over the Habs, a lot of them against each other. Habs will be where they belong talent-wise very soon...outside of the playoff picture.

DJP thought the Sens were going to go on a 40 game win streak and win the cup. Guess he is sad now.

Sorry dude, but like I said...same old Sens. They will die off early in the playoffs. Just not that good. :-D

Habs will make the playoffs. Watch.

Gainey is gone, no chance for the Habs? I think they are better without him right now, at least the new GM will be able to make at least ONE move at the deadline the improve the club, not just get rid of old player with nothing in return, the Habs are not lost without him, not at all.

Yeah. Vishnevskiy (Who's been sent to the AHL already) will maybe equate to a 5-6 guy... 4th rounders rarely turn into much... Hopefully Lehtonen can stay injury free...

Turco's contract's up in the summer. Guessin the Stars aint renewing it. Or will ship him out at the deadline...

Hey, phillou21, why did you change logo in your posts? I remember you had Thrashers logo there, now you have the NHL logo.
What about New Jersey one? :-p

The Lehtonen trade is official. I think Eric Boulton is now the longest-tenured Thrasher.

That is sad.

But you didn't answer the question. :-p

Lehtonen to the Stars... I think Turco's gonna get traded before the deadline... what other teams could use a goalie?

Yes i answer it, i don't like the Devils, it's fair enough to me. :-p I was only have the Thrashers logo because i was supporting Kovalchuk, but no Devils no. :-D

For Turco, i don't really know who could use him, alot of rumor talks about the Hawks but as someone say, i don't think it will improve their team. St-Louis? Mason is not bad, in the west all the other teams got good goalie. In the east, everyone got a good goalie too, exept maybe for the Lightning, who got two good goalie, but no really #1.

I'm not sure about Turco. Kari hasn't played all season, and Dallas can't bank on him to stay injury-free. They're only three points out of a playoff spot, I can't believe they're folding so soon.

Although, I would have thought the same thing about the Thrashers.

Maybe the Stars just dealt for Lehtonen for the future? They can keep Turco for the remainder of the season, let him walk as a UFA after the season, and then go from there.

Detroit could be interested on Turco, i think. Howard has played well, but i don't think he can play as well in playoffs. That means, that Osgood's season would be over, if no injuries to Turco or Howard.

Chicago and St. Louis are others.

Turco going to Philly. As for what Wadell got for lehtonen. Dude has proven to be as injury prone as our friend DiPietro. He has not developed AT ALL for over 2 years. I am actually surprised he was able to get a WARM body and a pick for him. Even if it is a low pick. Lehtonen has done nothing to prove anything. Maybe he does in Dallas, but so far in his career---just another Toskala. Alot of jabber about a Finnish goalie that has proven zip.

I think the Lehtonen trade was a pretty good trade for the Thrashers. They got a solid prospect (who was ranked as the Stars best prospect by Hockeys Future) in exchange for an injury prone goalie that they didn't need anymore.

If Lehtonen stays healthy, then the Stars win the deal, no questions asked. This guy is only 26. Stuff said about him back in the day doesn't just dissappear. He was expected to be a Franchise goalie in Atlanta. He still can be in Dallas.

Vishneskiy can't even handle a puck. I won't be surprised to see the Stars flip Turco for more.

MArtin Brochu was supposed to be a superstar too. And got a ton of chances to prove he was not a superstar. Guess what? He proved it over and over, just like Lehtonen will.

Which idiot said Brochu was good. He had average seasons in the AHL (With 1 good).

Lehtonen has had decent seasons on a bad team. I'm excited for him in Dallas. I think he's good. :dunno:
