Hello everyone!

I have enjoyed the new version of the game a lot! There is one big issue now however.. I am now on to my fourth season in the Finnish league and this is the second year that I have not sold a single season ticket. The first two years everything was OK and I got the news items saying how the sales were going on. Now there are no news and the team is not getting any money. However, the game seems to think I have sold over 60% of my capacity as season tickets, as I get barely any money from sold out home games. Therefore it is quite hard to have a stable income, as the only real money comes from selling out playoff matches. So now I am at risk of losing a lot of money if I don't win the championship every year. I really want to hold on to the amazing group of players I managed to get from AHL, but it requires going all the way every season.



Also, there seems to be the same sort of budget adjustment system as in EHM 2007. So if you have been a good GM and kept under the wage budget and made a huge profit, there is not going to be a bigger budget. That is what I did the first season. After that I added a lot of too expensive players to go over the budget and come July 1st, the budget was increased by the board. Any way you could alter this? Seems like I have to do bad choices to be successful in long term management.

Also, I am keen on knowing if it is possible to build a new stadium, since the one I am using is rented?

Season ticket sales are busted in the NHL, AHL and ECHL as well. Not 1 sold and the season is about to begin. Will soon see how it affect my finances.

Anyone notice that it is difficult to sign lower league players to contracts? I am coaching Rochester and having a heck of a time trying to fill out my roster because all the ECHL players are "happy with their position" and not willing to sign...

I restarted a new game since the last SI update, and noticed something that never happened to me before:

At the beginning of the season I released a few scouts with average judging players abilities, but not good enough to stay, and 2 of them were signed as head coaches (!) later the same season by NHL teams.

They both have poor coaching and mental stats (one of them is really, really bad), average judging abilities, and still were signed as head coaches at elite level.

Well, good for them Still strange though.

Here is an example with my former scout, released the 31.10.14, and hired by the Sabres the 22.11.14 . They could at least pretend to care about this season

Dunno if bug... But awards are seriously messed up in my game.

Like, how does bloody Matt Niskanen win a Hart at all, let alone over his own teammate Ovechkin who is the runaway Art Ross winner with 50g 50a (about 15 pts more than the second best scoring guy)? Niskanen barely even had 50 points!

Ben Scrivens who only played 11 games wins Conn Smythe over Eberle who has 34 points in the playoffs. Scrivens didn't even play in the cup clincher.

Overall best player of the month frequently goes to some random player who only played 1-2 games all month, while defensive and offensive winners will be legitimate.

Ah, and NHL trade deadline happened during the Olympic break in 2018.

That and many 4A players sign in Europe intead of the NHL or even the AHL.

Unless i'm missing something this looks like a bug to me. The Leafs should be ahead of the Wings in the Standings, right?

Yeah but not very minor considering it is mid season. But you are correct and good to see the little things like that.


ON the newest update..anyone else getting a news item every game from your guy scouting next opposition that he could find no players followed by the usual message about the team you are playing? I find that odd.

Also....I get this note on team scouting where I am scouting another team, and the report comes in saying could find no notable players on that team. Then go into the report and you know Giroux Voracek 5 stars and Couturier 4 stars. I find that those would be notable players.

I hope they fix it. I'd hate to finish the season with the same amount of points as them and also have more ROW's and still finished below them. I'd lose home ice advantage.

Likely will not happen who knows. There was an issue in standings in EHM in 2007 with ties.

What exactly was the issue with ties in EHM 07? I didn't play it.

It's becoming apparent to me that the draft lottery is broken. Out of 20 tries the 29th team won 11. the 17th ranked team won it 6 times. The 30th team didn't win it once.

The odds of this of this happening have to be something like 5000-1. Not to mention this has happened to someone else in pretty much the exact way on the SI forums. This needs to be fixed ASAP as finishing last in the league won't ever get you the first overall pick.


Edit: So in one test the 18th place Panthers won the lottery but they still didn't end up getting to pick 1st. The team that finished last still go to pick. So does this game not go by lottery rules or what? I'd prefer the bottom team to win the draft as apposed to a wonky draft lottery that doesn't work. Thoughts anyone?

Ovechkin in fact played less, but Tarasenko had more points. there aren't any tiebreakers for the Rocket IRL though, both top goalscorers would be awarded it in this situation.

Oh i'm aware how the awards are given in real life. I was just trying to figure out if the game gave Tarasenko the award because he played less games but i guess that's not the case from what you are saying.

Looks like the NHL match-ups are right.

This is why we need the wild card standings so there's less confusion. I really hope they put that in the next update because the game needs it.

Right? I think in Western Conference it should be 4-6 3-5 pairs like in Eastern. I'm wrong?

Yeah you're wrong. It varies. The format can be a bit confusing especially when the standings look like this. The 8th and 1st seed and the 2nd and 7th seeds will always play each other but the rest can vary.

In my game, i am able to train my player to intensive in all categories and they are always in 100% condition. I have 1 head coach and 4 ass coach who all work three categories except goalie coach who's training only goalkeeper. i don't understand why it's doing this and since i want my game to be as close to real life as possible, it,s buging me a lot.... anybody else with a problem like that?

I noticed its a little to easy to pick up fired Head coaches aus assistants, my coaching staff after 2 months of playing the Rangers is: Vigneualt, Samuellson, Allairre, Quenneville, Tortorella,Arniel...even hired Ted Nolan and fired him shortly after to get Quenneville...funny fact : Sabres hired the guy i fired for him as HC Sabres really a weird frnachise, also just traded Grigorenko and Cornel to Canes for pants late picks and Mc Keown.
