I would like to thank Concussion Junction for working out a fair deal for Jerome. I am of course, nervous to be losing him as I would have been no matter what. But my patience has worn thin,
Concussion negotiated fairly and well, and after having deal attempts that included Zetterberg and Bieksa and thoughts around Knuble, Smyth and others we have worked a deal that I am satisfied with.
I got two guys who shoot the puck shoot the puck, and a goalie who will be a starter for the whole season, not just while the real starter is injured.
It was a pleasure dealing with you Eric. Hopefully, this works out for both of us...but better for me!!!
The key to this deal for me was losing Boyes. Boyes is so inconsistent he makes me mad. Plus I don't think he will manage to stick on the top line. If he does...and scores...then definitely I will lose this deal.

He's still active. Although, their lineup is definitely not ideal right now.
I know what he's doing, though. Last night, he played only the guys who had a game. But then forgot to do his lineup for tonight. ESPN uses your last-set lineup as your "standard" for any games after that point.
In other words, every time you set your lineup, I believe that becomes your standard lineup, unless you jump ahead to future days and change it (at which point, that will now be the standard for all the lineups after it).
I usually forget to do my lineups at the beginning of the week, and I sign-in on Tuesday or Wednesday praying that I didn't lose too much to the bench.

I like to do that, too. Ideally, I'll sit down on Monday, and go through each day of the upcoming week.visualdarkness wrote:I set my at least a week in advance so I never miss it!![]()
Why the heck would you only play half a line-up? Helmer, you really are stupid.
I also try to keep my whole lineup in a "depth chart" format, only benching the "lesser" players when possible.

This round could prove to be a close one if my goalies gets their games!

Bald Uakari's lost their first this season, so now I can write something about the team with no fear of jinxing it
Our team hasn't been magnificent, but somehow they still managed to win five games in a row before losing last week. The matchup against Vikings was a close one too and was resolved only on Sunday. Vikings had their biggest guns on ice and that did it as we played mostly our dmen who haven't been very efficient this season. Yet.
Maybe I could categorize our players in three groups: underperformers, business as usuals and hot ones.

Maybe I could categorize our players in three groups: underperformers, business as usuals and hot ones.
Underperformers:
- D Shea Weber - very disappointing season this far, ranked only 55th of dmen in the league
D Andy Greene - Devils struggles and it can be seen from Andy's production
G Brent Johnson - he's only our third string goalie, but I still was hoping more from him (never trust a Penguin, I say)
D Zach Bogosian - for playing such huge minutes his production has been weak - really weak
D Christian Ehrhoff - my another keeper D struggles also, but not nearly as bad as the other
G Craig Anderson - wouldn't be in this category without his injury, I guess - and I'm really hoping he (among others) improves asap
- C Jonathan Toews - has started to pick it up slowly, couple of weeks earlier he would have been in the group above
G Miikka Kiprusoff - not the best start to a season from him, hopely Flames figures out how to get it going again
D Brett Clark - a decent FA pick, scores PP points and shoots often, but would need something more to climb into the hot ones
C, LW Evander Kane - would be in the hot ones without his terrible +/- rating of -9
RW Troy Brouwer - I didn't expect much from him, but I'd sure take some more points anyway!
D Toni Lydman - FA pick who was putting up some points at first, but not anymore
D Anton Babchuk - look above (except that Babchuk wasn't a FA pick...)
C Cal O'Reilly - young center replacing injured T.J.Oshie has produced some points, but needs to do more to keep his spot in our roster
- C Jarret Stoll - ABU's 23rd round draft pick is ranked as 9th of league's centers at the moment - not too bad
LW Alex Ovechkin - well, AO is doing well, he's on the verge of another +100 point season
RW Chris Stewart - when I traded Mark Streit for him in spring I wondered if I'm doing the right decision - but not wondering any more
RW Daniel Cleary - before his injury he was another of my great FA pickings, hope he gets back on it while healthy again
C Derek Roy - had a stellar start to the season, lately has been slowing it down a little, but still I'm very happy with him
LW Clarke MacArthur - my first FA picking of the season, and maybe the best (this far)
LW Alexander Steen - didn't expect much from him, but he's ranked as 17th of left wingers in the league
- LW Lauri Korpikoski - has been in our roster for only couple of days, but will definitely stay if keeps his pace of scoring points
RW David Moss - just took him in and dropped our 14th round draft pick Eric Fehr as I got tired of waiting him to start producing

How can you be dissapointed in Johnson? He has won six games and has played more than expected. He is only a back-up goalie so you should not expect more from him. Now, if you had Fleury until lately...kuulapaa wrote: Underperformers:

He didn't win the games for us, I picked him up too late. He stopped winning, he stopped having ice time, he got ill and above all, he is a Penguin. Why in earth wouldn't I, rooting poor Devils, be disappointed to him? I love to be disappointed to any Pengs member... no, I freakin' love to hate PenguinsManimal wrote:How can you be dissapointed in Johnson? He has won six games and has played more than expected. I know that feeling. Two of my star players are underperforming Devils!kuulapaa wrote:He didn't win the games for us, I picked him up too late. And my guys are mostly overperforming in my eyes, well not the half-injured players.Manimal wrote:I know that feeling.
