I thought that was the reason why Stafford was playing in Iowa.

When you download and use another DB from here, your changes will be lost if you choose to overwrite your old DB.
You can always keep your changes in another DB, but you will have to do them again if you want to use them in another DB you have downloaded.
Its probably best to wait with editing until the final version has been released.

It sounds like you don't have the latest patch for EHM. The option to choose which database to use was only introduced in 3.0.3 (if I remember rightly) so if you don't have that option then it sounds like you don't have the latest patch (which is version 3.0.4 by the way).Mo9 wrote:Yeah, but it still doesn't give me that option, it just loads the old default roster.
Alternatively, what is in your database/TBL_NHL_Roster_Update_2008 folder? The database files should be directly in the TBL_NHL_Roster_Update_2008 folder - there shouldn't be any subfolders within that folder.

Kay, so I had some extra time on my hands, and although I didn't like the way you initially approached us complaining about your dissappointment that we didn't include your work to the update - you could've done it in a more friendly manner - nevertheless we appreciate the amount of work you've put into this, so I decided to kill some time by adding the changes you've listed the best I can.zeppelin89 wrote:So after doing a considerable amount of research, I've finally found all the mistakes/omissions for the Toronto Maple Leafs organization and it's affiliates: Toronto Marlies (AHL), and Columbia Inferno (ECHL)
Mike Penny is actually Toronto Maple Leafs Assistant GM. I think the person we're lookin for here is Nathan McFadden: Manager, hockey operations. But he does not exist in the game database, and because we are not so far into this update that we'd be updating the AHL, I'm not going to create an AHL manager at this point.zeppelin89 wrote: STAFF
Marlies Staff
Main thing here is MIKE PENNY (not TIM penny lol) is the Manager, and since J.Jackson got promoted to LEAFS Ass. GM, we can finally have Mike Penny have full GM control (see below).

http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app?serv ... /prospects
Scouts were updated, as they were on all other teams aswell.zeppelin89 wrote: Leafs Staff - http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... e&id=12778
- Main thing here are the Scouts, they are all existing in EHM, just need to be added to the Leafs, they do suck however so a boost is needed but..i guess that's not allowed.
- Also Jack Johnson was recently Promoted to Assistant GM, also needs a boost :: shrug :: lol
heres the link...
http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... eid=336299 - J Jackson
Jeff Jackson is Managing Director of Maple Leafs, while Penny is the Assistant GM, as shown on Maple Leafs staff listings: http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... e&id=12778
Ryan Graham is no longer in Toronto on v1.0. Not sure at what point he was moved from the team, but this has been fixed nevertheless.zeppelin89 wrote: Leafs/Marlies fixes
Marlies Roster -
http://www.torontomarlies.com/team/index.asp
(It's out of date, and I'll mention everything that's missing/still there, otherwise still accurate up to end of last season)
Theres a Ryan Graham on the Leafs, don't know where he came from but I don't think he was ever Leafs property. The following link shows that he was on a tryout with the Wild recently and released, so needs to be removed.
http://www.cbc.ca/cp/hockey/070920/h092008A.html - graham released, not on any team
Marsh signed to Columbia, Ford is already in the correct team. Boyce, Jakaitis, Murphy and Leveille signed to Marlies. Marc Moro and Tyler Beechey removed from Marlies roster: now free agents.zeppelin89 wrote: Also heres a handy website showing that the following players are no longer Leafs property..

Tyler Beechey no longer on the team. (as evidenced by Roster page, as old as that page maybe, it's still recent enough to incorporate that, I don't think Beechey played at all last year)
Darryl Boyce - Property of Marlies (rights and conractually, not leafs) http://www.journalpioneer.com/index.cfm ... 057&sc=119
Michel Leveille - Signed by Marlies as well
http://goblackbears.cstv.com/sports/m-h ... 07aaa.html
Marlies sign goalie Jeff Jakaitis - http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=454
Also Colin Murphy, although he is on the Marlies as he should be, he's not contracted to them and his rights are owned by the Leafs, which is wrong.. he is Marlies property.
http://www.torontomarlies.com/news/News ... ory_id=437
Didn't remove Toronto Maples Leafs' rights to Colin Murphy, didn't see any info confirming this in the link.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say about Kukumberg by bolding his name. He (Roman Kukumberg - only player by that last name in the game database) plays for Slovan Bratislava in the game, not sure if that is his team this season, but according to Marlies and Maples websites he's not in either team in Toronto.
Fussey, Fauci, Thomson and Wellar moved to Inferno.zeppelin89 wrote: Columbia Roster --> http://www.columbiainferno.com/team/players/
This is accurate except for a couple of signings which I will mention. Most of the players need to be added, and current players in ehm on the team need to be removed, i'm pretty sure the rosters have been stagnant for the last years, about time they were cleaned up!
Owen Fussey is Columbia's not Marlies (as evidenced by roster)
http://www.columbiainferno.com/newsstat ... cle_id=201
Patrick Wellar was recently signed (Wash prospect if not mistaken, boy he fell..lol)

At this point we won't be doing that, version 1.1 is just to fix mistakes on the original NHL update release. And I can't really say how much staff creating we want to do when we get to updating the AHL.
We'll see.
Edit: Actually, we propably won't be creating any assistant coaches. GM's and their assistants were created because they play important role game-wise, and physios because they're so easy to create with only first name and physiotherapy value at 20. Creating coaches we've never heard of (atleast I haven't) is a whole different thing.

Arite, http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... eid=336299 clearly states that he was promoted to Ass. Gm, meaning we can move Penny over to Marlies as Manager full time..
Kukumberg I believe has his rights with the leafs which is incorrect as he (like u said) is not on either roster, and is therefore not righted to the Leafs..
And lastly Colin Murphy is a Marlies player, that's it, no rights with the Leafs (..is what I meant). Thanks!

But at the same time Leafs' staff listings clearly state Penny is their Assistant GM and Jackson is Director of Hockey Administrations. According to Penny's profile on that same page he is infact both: Assistant GM in Toronto and GM in... well the other Toronto team. But in the game a person can't do two jobs at the same time, even if in real life they would. Reading thru Penny's profile shows that he has many responsibilities in the Maple Leafs NHL team, and therefore I don't feel comfortable removing him from that position.zeppelin wrote:Arite, http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... eid=336299 clearly states that he was promoted to Ass. We'll just have to see how to deal with this when we move to updating AHL. The general rule we've taken in updating these leagues is that in situations where staff or players contracts between NHL and lower league team clash, the lower league team will have to take the damage rather than the NHL team.
http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/team/app/?ser ... e&id=12778
I tried to find info confirming this one way or the other, but couldn't, so I'll just take your word for it - no NHL rights for Kukumberg or Murphy.Kukumberg I believe has his rights with the leafs which is incorrect as he (like u said) is not on either roster, and is therefore not righted to the Leafs..

Zeppelin--Kukumberg's rights may still be with the Leafs, the same way Artem Chubarov's are still with the Canucks, and believe it or not, until 2 years ago Reijo Ruotsalainen ( who has been retired for 9 years or so) was still attached to the Oilers.
From the past CBA's NHL team rights to players from Europe are almost permanent. And not lost. So just because Kuk is not listed with either the Marlies or Leafs anywhere...his rights still are with them.
This is a just so you know. It happens with all teams around the league. Even for guys who will likely never ever play again because they are 80.

Leave Kukumberg's rights with Toronto...executive decision
As for Penny..leave him as assistant GM of Leafs for now. Although I do recall somewhere hearing he may not be anymore. Not sure what the source was..will have to do some checking.
Oh and looking at your sites that show your proof...well..
1. HF Boards does not have a link showing to the CBA that players drafted under the old CBA...have had their rights status affected by the new CBA>
2. More importantly..the link to the leafs "IN THE SYSTEM" page...shows Kukumberg as a Leaf prospect. So nto sure whare you are going with this one.

Ah thing is with Kukumberg, he was signed by the leafs and played with the Marlies, then the leafs didn't qualify the contract...wait..You maybe right I think he went back hmm now im confused, cuz the contract couldnt be one year..batdad wrote:Leave Kukumberg's rights with Toronto...executive decision![]()

Who knows lol..he sucks anyways, just make sure his wristshot isnt 19 anymore (bug a while back)..
And as to Jeff Jackson, I think by the logic that that the Team Management page has probably been stagnant for a while, and the newest piece of information on Leafs management came in that press release, he should be promoted. So therefore I'd say he got promoted while Penny is the Marlies GM.
But your call.
