How does this give you any sort of advantage?2.2.3 You are not allowed however to be GM of a National Team during a Challenge. This is an effort to keep the GMs on an "even playing field".

I just saw Peter Chiarelli get fired in my game. I'm thankful that he's better in real life than he is in EHM! Anyhow, you have no idea how much I wanted to take over my Bruins and fix them. Honestly, they don't look too bad. They're in 9th place in their conference but if I was controlling them I could easily get them into 1st without making any trades.

You're cheating!

No, I'm just kidding, that's freaking impressive and I felt special when I won Mem Cup in my second, now it feels like everybody is going to do that.

I already think that my third season isn't going to be that good as my team isn't that good and several of my best players in Mem Cup became overagers for this season. I also need to open up a spot for Bernier so he can be sent down by Kings.

But my goalie situation looks good for the upcoming seasons as two of my top three goalies is born 92 and the other one is born 91.

One of them, he is 16 years old, has the starting spot and in two regular season games he has have 9 in rating in both of them.

Interesting side-story this season....
M. Stoddard is rated as my best center this year, but I start him behind Sparling (better 2-way player)...
EVERY time I start him as the #1 center (injury, trial, etc. - about 10 times) he gets a major penalty and game misconduct in the first 6 minutes of the game, resulting in a 4 rating and suspension...
Doesn't happen on 2nd line, only the 1st line... discipline, etc. - same story
So obviously I won't put him on the top line again this year... LOL

This is getting silly. My team is winning with ease, constantly. Not sure what is up. But I have not lost a game since the last game of reg season year 2.
Q playoffs 16-0
Mem Cup 4-0
3rd reg season 17-0
And yes...look at my freaking PP. WOW!
I almost lost to PEI of all teams..last place..beat em in a shootout on the 4th shooter 3-2. Only thing Voracek has done right all season.
I guess one thing helps. In the season previews the defensemen top 10 listing started like this:
1. Alex Grant-Saint John
2. Stephen Lund-Saint John
3. David Stich-Saint John
4. Yann Sauve--Saint John
Um..yeah. I think Stich may get moved come next trading period. However, if this team goes to Mem Cup I expect to lose at least Grant to a signing during it. Maybe Lund too.
Travis Randell--Ranked 11th in Prelim rankings
Kirk Sinclair--Ranked 17th in Prelim rankings

And even though I may be winning games, I do not always do as well in challenges, because there are so many categories for scoring. My scoring leaders for example are generally middle of the pack, and my PP scoring sucks rocks usually. Although it seems to be going well right now.
Oh and I lost game 20. To the 2nd worst team in the whole league Rouyn-Noranda 2-1. IN regulation. Oh well...

I've finally made trades!
I had PEI ready to give me Chris Doyle for Sparling, straight up but I canceled the deal. Doyle is younger and more skilled than Sparling but he's terrible on faceoffs. I was worried that my 1st line center losing all his faceoffs might really hurt the team. Plus, Sparling has chemistry with Barr and I'm afraid to mess with that heading into the playoffs. So even though I wanted Doyle, I canceled the trade. Sure, that's one that I will regret next season.
I did make a few other trades. One was to send Luc Melanson to Shawinigan for Tommy Tremblay. Melanson was too streaky. He's play well for a couple games and then stink up the join for a bunch. Tremblay is younger (17 vs 19) and more skilled. I consider it a total win for me. In 5 games so far, Tremblay has 3 goals and assist so far.
Because of my disappointment with Grimard as my 2nd line RW (he's even streakier than Melanson and more injury prone), I made a deal for a RW. Grimard is still with us for this season but I did ship out Colin Moore. I took Moore in the first round of the last draft and had hopes for him but upon closer look, my scouts weren't so impressed with him. I sent Moore and Bruno Desjardins to Shawinigan (yup, them again) for 18 year old RW Brett Jones. This guys is super-fast, has a great mental makeup, and is more skilled than Moore was. Desjardins was just too slow and other than that wasn't very much to talk about. My scouts say Jones is like Richard Zednik. He's a 2-way player and a great fit for my team. He's been with us for 3 games so far and hasn't put up any points but I think that's just a matter of me finding the right place for him.
I really needed to get better at center because neither Marchand or Stoddard could really fit my 2nd line center role and Leduc was too streaky. On paper Leduc looks good, almost a point a game and +20 but he's got bad stamina and skating, plus he can't be counted on to show up every night. He'll have a couple 3 point nights with 8 or 9 ratings and they'll be sandwiched between half a dozen 5 or 6 rating games. So I got talking to Rouyan-Noranda about Adam Jourdain. We were close to making a deal but they bit at a deal from Halifax instead. So I immediately got talking to Halifax. One day after Jourdain was traded to Halifax, I got him for Brett Gallant and Michael Veysey. I gave up two 19 year olds who were playing on my farm team and got a more skilled 19 year old to fill a need on my team. So now he'll be my 2nd line (and 2nd PP) center, Leduc will more down to the 3rd line and PK, and then I'll decide between Stoddard and Marchand for my 4th line center. Right now Stoddard is suspended for 2 games, so I can decide when he returns and then move the extra center down to the farm.
Now my team should be ready to rock once I get Sauve and Stich back from the WJC. I've really missed those guys.
