Wow. You do not read well....I should go back and quote my post the last time you went off about who I was a fan of. I am not a fan of any NHL team in particular. For the 200th time....wow.
I lean towards teams that play the styles of Detroit, Chicago, Edmonton (even though they are lousy still play the right kind of game), Washington, and yes the Pens. They play a puck possession game...and even Phoenix is trying to do so now...as are Vancouver, more and more. teams that play with skill and speed, and some physical play. Not sit back and watch rubbish like Ottawa, the Canucks from the past, the Wild from the past, New Jersey, Toronto, Montreal....not bland hockey.
I have to say more and more teams are going the route of good hockey. Even though they do not do well in the standings, we are getting more and more exciting, skilled, skating teams to watch.....
Toronto and the Rangers...never gonna be those kind of teams. Well...maybe the Rangers.
And yes I will repeatedly bash Rangers, Sens, Oilers, Leafs, Flames, Dead Things, and Habs fans. Why?
1.Because at some point or another every single one of them is a bandwagonner with one exception. Be it from 1975, 1987, 1994, 1989, or 2010....they all jump on and off the bandwagon of their team and whine and complain and moan about officials. The only fan of those teams I have ever seen not do that....is MANIMAL. Why he is a Rag fan I dunno. Poor kid. The only exception...Leafs. Just hate having to see them on TV all the time...year...after pathetic year....I know why it happens...but ugh.
2. Because I never tire of the "We have won 24 Stanley Cups" or we beat the Nucks in 1994, or YZERMAN RULLZZZZ or "City of Champions" or what is it the Flemme fans say? Oh yeah. "Uggha Buggha."
"We" yep..sure..you. Don't mention the 20 straight years without winning a playoff round though....

Lol I love the way you describe MTL fan, at least your not trap here with all the newspapers, the medias and some annoyiing fans who always complain about everythings.
Sometimes I go check some posts on the internet and I can't believe what some of them are saying, you can clearly see that they almost don't know anything about hockey and the just like the Canadiens because it's the Canadiens and it's the only team in Quebec and the fact they won 24 stanley cup....Yes they were and outstanding team, you can be proud of it I can understand that, but don't put that as an argument on almost everything, that sucks bad.

No to be totally off-topic... I didn't mean that Avalanche will fight for 8th play off spot now. After being that big surprise in first half of the season, now they seem a bit struggling there. Hejduk missed many games due to injury and Duchene/O'Reilly duo slowed down in scoring. They'll have to battle really hard against Sharks in 1st round.

Nope. Was it on WEEI or 98.5 The Sports Hub? I listen to 98.5 a lot but I've been listening to music in the afternoon lately instead.Danny wrote:B72, did you listen to Cam's radio interview today ? Apparently he called out Wideman and Julien for giving him so much ice time and said McQuaid would be in instead of him if he wasn't injured.
I'm glad Cam put that out there. He's the guy that will say those kind of things while Chiarelli will more often play the politician and not step on toes.
I really hope they deal Wideman in the off-season. He's just been a disaster. I honestly wasn't so sure about them re-signing Ference. I want to see McQuaid in a full time job in Boston next season.

And yet they found it important to wrap him up with a 3 year deal before this surgery? Wouldn't they have some leverage in negotiations with a guy who's had an injury history and just coming off surgery for another injury? You'd think they'd be able to get him a little cheaper. I just can't understand why they would pay him over $3M per year.

I'm sure lots of hockey players are making less than Jeff Finger. It doesn't make them underpaid. It just reinforces the stupidity of Finger's contract.Big T wrote:Making less then Jeff Fingerbruins72 wrote:Really? I thought it was $3.25 per? Actually i think the correct term would be "director of personnel", had it not been an April Fool's day joke.
I laughed at this one for a while when i saw it on jatkoaika.com, the part about the comments Bertuzzi made was hilarious.

But on topic for a while: Selänne tying Kurri for goals was fantastic.

I didn't know that Kerry Fraser was taking is retirement after the season. Even if I hate him sometimes with some weird decision, he was still one of the best out there. When he refuse the goal of Alain Côté back with the Nordiques, he made such a contreversy in Qc, everyone was hating him. He's been ask alot in the past years about that one and he always says '' The goal wasn't good''. Even yesterday at MTL he still said it.

How you know Kerry Fraser is a good ref: Every fan of every single team hates him. Early in his career, he gave the Canucks 2 penalty shots in one game vs Detroit. I think it may have even been his first year. That took balls.
And after that Canuck fans have always complained about him trying to make up for that, and that he has screwed them over and over just to do so. Wings fans have always hated him just for calling the two shots.
Fraser, McCreary..alot of the older guys are close to being done. The refs are going to be getting young real fast in the very near future. It is partially why the NHL and NHLPA are trying to make it seem as though the rules are more black and white. The younger refs will have a harder time with judgement calls than these wise old slow fat farts.
