Steven Stamkos became the third youngest player in NHL history to score 50 goals. I don't know for most of you guys, but I've never imagine it would do that this year. When he was draft they were talking about one of the draft with less potential players since 2003. Stamkos/Doughty not that bad so far.

Ovechkin needs 3 points tonight to pass Henrik Sedin. Even if I like Ovy, I hope it's not gonna happen, I really want Sedin to win the Art Ross, what an outstanding season for the twins.

Stamkos, Doughty and Myers has been amazing, but others haven't been so good. Schenn, Bogosian and Del Zotto has been ok.philou21 wrote:Ovechkin needs 3 points tonight to pass Henrik Sedin. Duchene was drafted -09. I'd was talking 'bout -08 draft. But you're right, Duchene has been very good, especially in early this season.gambia_boy wrote:Duchene has been good...Jypfan92 wrote:Stamkos, Doughty and Myers has been amazing, but others haven't been so good. Yeahhh Sedin win the Art Ross! Ovy didn't score a point in the game against Boston. Great job I'm very happy from him, nice gift to the Nucks that sign him this summer.

Opting not to re-sign a 40 goal scorer in favour of a defenseman that they didn't need may have been a factor....ReggieDunlop wrote:flames season is a catastrofy. Is it the Succker sisters or what went wrong from a potential cup contender to a mediocre gutless bunch of losers.
I like Calgary, but I never would have pegged them for a Cup contender this season. They lost a lot of offense in the summer, as previously mentioned, and did nothing to shrink their losses. I also can't seem to recall a team ever winning the Cup without a top-end center. All the Flames ever seem to get their hands on are underachievers or guys who's best days are behind them. Imploding half of the team seemed to have the opposite of the desired effect as well.

I was asking this myself. They didn't do THAT bad this season. Look what he's done with Stamkos compare to last year. Maybe it's just because Stamkos was due to blow out.bruins72 wrote:Was Tocchet really as bad as the team's record seems to indicate?

Just happy with what the pick turned out to be. And yes I think the return for Kessel is more valuable. No Kessel hate from me. He's just not that good to justify his salary. Not all about numbers either, Jussi Jokinen scored 30 too. Would you like the Ducks giving him 5.4m or would you rather have the second overall and another two high picks. And if the Leafs fans are happy with him fine, no problemo.

I'm pretty excited about the idea of the Bruins landing Hall. He sounds like he wants to play for the Bruins as well (more than the Oilers). I've heard some talk that Chiarelli might make a move to trade up for the #1 overall. He's got a clear favorite between Hall and Seguin (which most figure is Hall because the Bruins are stacked at Center) and he might be concerned that Edmonton will take his guy. Honestly, I would hope that he doesn't give up a bunch to trade up. For all we know, the Oilers GM could be planning on taking the other guy anyways and just trying to milk Boston for whatever they can get out of them to move up one spot.
