5.a Already there if you are coaching. Just go into your tactics and change them....and if you want to have other 3 lines the same and different from line 1, just set them that way. Not sure what you are asking here.
Both of these were just time-saving suggestions. For example, I just spent 3 hours moving players around on training and setting my lines for a single game. Anything that can shorten the time needed to get to a certain point is gold, IMO.
Of course both can already be done, but the only way is to do every step manually. It would be great if you could set training changes that you always do in the same circumstances (as per the example I used, I always put players on rest when they drop below 80%) and it'd be great if you could move a line's players, tactics and mentalities all with a single click.

You can. Just create a second GM and take over your AHL affiliate. It's what I do.

I have a point for the wishlist that most of the people will agree upon:
- Make the Salary cap increase annually by a certain percentage (5% for instance).

No, just no... As said earlier (not sure if it's in this thread though), the salaries in the game are static so therefor the cap must also be static... If players salaries can be made dynamic then yes, have a dynamic cap aswell, but unless Stamkos or Price demands $12m when they go UFA like they would IRL then there is no need for a dynamic cap...

I would hope that's just at the very beginning of the file to establish regimens/lines/etc. After you do that, the rest is just maintenance, flipping a few things here and there. I can't believe it takes 3 hours to set up each game.

My least favourite thing about FM/EHM is the amount of time a game takes to set up. Sure you can save tactics here and there (I usually have line-tactics active and different set-ups for each) If I want to swap my first and second offensive lines though I have to manually change the tactics. If there was some way to link tactics to a particular line and move it en-mass then that would be great but would probably require the tactics page to be drastically re-written.

Is there any way to see total league stats for all the main stat categories? Pretty sure not as I've never seen them but it would be nice to have them available for comparison. I think the total save % is too low which makes for higher scoring if the amount of shots is right. IMO there are way too few good goalies and not enough outliers like the Hamburgler, Lack, Hutchinson etc. who post really solid numbers. In both of my games there are a handful of top notch goalies and the rest might as well be in the A. There don't seem to be very many solid goalies that would be middle of the pack. Too many of the guys who should be good goalies have way too many bad games allowing 4 or more goals.

Sadly, no.
It takes me maybe only about an hour or two to set up a line up (I do quite intensive personal settings for each player, but that should be expected by the developers if they put the option in), but for the preseason, I run nearly completely new lines every game (maybe 4 or 5 players stay in the lineup). Training also gets to be a pain because every time I hit "continue", players increase or decrease their conditioning, so I constantly have to go through it and make sure no one's getting too tired or too rested. Hence why I'd really like those options added.
I hope by the time the regular season starts, it settles down, too, but long losing streaks always happened in 07 if you don't change up the whole line up reasonably often, so I expect I'll be spending a number of hours during the season moving lines/players around, too.

I have a new biggest wish... Make the game remember the personal settings even when the player is scrathed, super annoying to have to set the personal tactics all over again when a player gets back from injury

the Champions Hockey League would be great but perhaps the 1 feature i'd like to see more than any other would be a Football Manager style editor which would make it possible to add/edit leagues/competitions/rules, i'd love to be able to add lower divisions to countries like Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, UK, etc and also include Ligue Magnus, Serie A, MOL Liga, etc.
it'd also be nice if all the World Championship divisions were in the game.

IF they had old European champions cup in EHM 2007, no reason for not having CHL in this new EHM

Being able to select multiple players in a list all at once. Kind of annoying when you want to scout 20-30 players to have to do it individually. Is there a way to see individual take aways and give aways for each player?

Sorry guys one of my most favorite things about EHM is the time it takes to set things up. It is not a shoot em up video game it is a planning video game. Something would be lost if you allowed these things to be done in 5 seconds with an auto practice, auto assign type thing. Not for me. Would lose me from the game. I want things to be harder and more time consuming in this game not easier and simpler. Control freak in me maybe?
And for those asking for minor league affiliate control. Just add the gm to the team and off you go. You can micromanage that team as well, or you can hire a couple guys and then retire that GM from the game.
And for the gentlemen who said "of course you can do that manually in the game"....yeah Alot of people know that, but there are ALSO ALOT OF NEWBIES to the game and newbies on the site....and you are not exactly an old fart here...with 32 posts. So I thought it worth explaining. Next time I will just call you a moron.

I kid I kid. Maybe not a moron....just a clown.

When playing the AHL, the player profile doesn't show the number of pro games played like it used to under the information tab. Makes it a major pain to plan and build a roster.

I know it's easy to say a lot of things from Football Manager, but i really love the last 2 versions of FM where the tactics are almost "conversational"
No sliders, just giving roles and jobs for the players to describe their play, and instructions like "get deeper" etc. This would probably be a much further down the line item, but I like the idea of being able to "speak" out what I want my players to do.

Agree, i like that aswell... But think of it like this is FM08, this was implemented in FM14

Now i'm not saying it will take 6 years to implement something like that but i'm sure there are more pressing matters that needs to be adressed before that

Caps as well....maybe need save game editor to change from year to year in a game, but again,,,,,is a waste of time since salaries ON THE WHOLE ARE STATIC.
Obviously a dynamic cap would necessitate dynamic salaries. And it would be an interesting option to have, cap management wise, to have a fluctuating cap that could go up OR down, as in real life, which would give way to some off-seasons with very few big name UFAs, and some other off-seasons with a relatively high number of UFAs. There could be some trimestrial news informing you of how well the league is doing financially and whether the cap is expected to stay put, go up or go down over the next few seasons. And then you plan around that, and on July 1st or whenever the official new cap is announced, you either get rewarded for your good planning, or sent to cap hell for your bad planning (or for getting screwed over by an unexpected lowering of the cap). It WOULD had something interesting to the management of your team and I would push to have that implemented in future years, though I don't think it should be made a priority at the moment, as it could be tough on the AI, and a static cap/salaries works very well for the time being.

Wow. I do all those things and it maybe takes me a couple mins per game. If you have tired players, just click-click-click the tired ones and set them to Resting. Literally takes 5 seconds. Switching around tactics and lineups takes only a couple of minutes and that's just if you're making major changes. I think your situation may be fairly unique. I find it hard to believe that people are taking 170+ hours to do one season.
Hard to see

Just purchased EA and started the game and I have to say I am having a lot of trouble reading stuff on the screen. I am partially colour blind and the text on the rink background is very hard for me to read things. The clear blue panels make it hard to read the text and I have 'colour blind' enabled. I am sure you guys can read this no problem but it really bothers my eyes. Is there anyway a generic background like 07 can be added, something less busy in the background?

This needs a fix, it happens very often, but I'll pick Hertl as example:
Tomas Hertl becomes a RFA in 2016 and he won't sign a new deal. I offered him a lot of contracts, even up to $5,500,000 per year in a three year deal. When he becomes a RFA, I approach him again for a new deal and all he wants, is a 3 year deal, $2,780,000 per year. Ok, that's fine with me, but it's a bit crazy.

1. live contract negotiations with the players agent like in football manager.
2. start date change option

Yeah, that probably stems from the fact that UFA's will ask less than players signing extensions who are still contracted. So if you let a guy go UFA you might get him cheaper, but risk having to compete with other teams in the market. Sure, with RFA it shouldn't work the same, but I'd say nonetheless that's the why of it.

1. I would want some training progress graphs and other similar stats in both training section and player profile sections
2. Automatic player card for own players by coaches (same as scouts can give) as it doesn't make much sense to scout own players to get proper information
3. Some further stats such as corsi/fenwick, WOWY analysis, ability to show stats only considering even strength/close situation etc.
4. Smarter scouting options, e.g. assign scout to Entry Draft without having to redo all season and more options to tweak re-scouting of already scouted players based on talent etc.
5. Live negotiations in both trades and contracts, especially contracts where very little feedback is given on why something was not accepted.

Even then, UFAs IRL ask for more money than when they're negociating extensions.

- Winter Classic / Stadium Series games
- all junior prospect games (Orr/Cherry, Subway Series)
- new 2016 World Cup tournament
- NHL Combine
- season to date goal and assist totals in game boxscores
Goal First Assist. Second Assist
Ie. PIT. Crosby (27) Malkin (40) Letang (19)
- advanced stats (Corsi etc.)
- Draft: generational players to come along every 10 years or so (Crosby '05...McDavid '15), and have game promote them as such.
- Draft: increased (but realistic) probabilty to find more gems deeper in a draft...increased dependence on scouting to score them.
- in game league expansion... allowing you to start in say original six era and have league expand at historically correct years...thus also allowing for game generated league expansion (Las Vegas, Quebec, Seattle etc.) Which could be capped in a config file (to 40 for example)
- support for animated .gif images in player profiles
- exhibition games of NHL teams in Europe
- request on they fly combine/all-star skills competition style reports for any of your players from the coach during practices (fastest laps around rink, hardest shot, bench press etc.)

To those who say scouting your own players is silly. Well....the teams all do it. They have to. You cannot tell what your players are like if you do not watch them play.
And ... this leads to my want in the game the ability for the user to have scouting abilities and to get out and scout on his own, and for those to improve over time, as well as to add scouting abilities for coaches and AGM. These guys get out and scout all the time when they have the chance. Coaches when they are not playing in a city while on a road trip will take in games as will AGM, GM...etc. This should be added some day, but is something that would come after other things.
