N-I-I-T-T-Y-M-Ä-K-I -- Niittymäki. Niitty = Meadow. Mäki = Hill. Mr Meadowhill for you, yes sir! 8-)

Dear Tasku,

Finns cannot beat up Canadians. Any time pal (unless of course you fight dirty and scratch and bite like Jerkooo Roootooo..

Mr Meadowhill has turned into quite a sieve kind of like Mr Tuskella.

Sami Helenius did beat up quite a few Canadians within his time in the NHL, if I'm not mistakoon? But yes, the fighting culture of hockey is not big in Finland. Some even claim it shouldn't be part of hockey. I think it should. Anything to entertain -- I'm all for it!

That being said, it's not my fault our junior system doesn't make players into enforcers. :dunno:

And don't get me wrong. I'm not a fan of Niitty or Toskala. I really don't care how badly they play! I'm a fan of the Washington Capitals, and none other! ;)

The Habs have finally trade Sergei Kostitsyn to Nashville for Boyd and Ellis, well ordinary transaction but I shouldn't expect anything with that young idiot.

Liuke alot of people are saying here Danny, even if they don't sign Ellis, SK is gone and that's the most important thing. :-D Anyway, Ellis as said he is looking foward to sign with MTL. I'm sure he knows that Price will suck so he will have alot of ice-time. :-p Some Flames fans give us good word of Boyd too.

I liked Boyd from what I've seen. Nothing spectacular by any means but still a very hard worker and never gives up on a play.

It's sound he got too much heart to play at MTL, they'll wave him really fast. :-p

At NJ Clarkson have sign a 3 years deal worth 2.55 millions a year, that a big amount of money for him IMO.

Brind'Amour announce is retirement this afternoon, great career, at least he got a Cup compare to Modano, the Stars have said they would not resign him. I think it sucks for him, Yzerman and Sakic asn't been treated like this.

Seems that Nabokov have given a big NO to the Flyers, Leighton sign a 2 years contract this afternoon.

Moreau as been pick on waivers by Columbus and O'sullivan been trade to Phoenix for Vandermeer.

Finally tomorrow it's July 1st but this year seems boring a little bit.

Stars sign Barch + Wathier to 2-year contract and

Wild re-sign prospects Matt Kassian and Nate Prosser to two-way contracts and

Edmonton Oilers send Patrick O'Sullivan to Phoenix Coyotes for Jim Vandermeer

Modano's got the Cup, too. [-X Remember that Hull's cup winninig goal against Hasek in OT scored by his leg?

Hawks trade Versteeg to the Laffs for DiDomenico, Philippe Paradis and Stalberg. Good trade for both team, Laffs need offence right now and the Hawks got at least two "good" prospects in DiDomenico and Paradis. Still there goes another former member of the Cup at Chicago only 3 weeks after winning it...
