As per TSN.ca:
The Detroit Red Wings agreed to terms with forward Todd Bertuzzi on a two-year, $3.875 million contract on Wednesday.
The two-time All-Star signed on with the Red Wings as an unrestricted free agent last year and finished the season with 18 goals and 26 assists for 44 points in 82 games. He added 11 points in 12 playoff games.
''Playing with guys like Pavel Datsyuk and (Henrik Zetterberg) was great, but so was just being able to fit into the system,'' Bertuzzi told the Detroit Free Press. ''It's just a great group of guys to be around.''
The 13-year veteran was drafted in the first round of the 1993 Entry Draft by the New York Islanders.
Bertuzzi has also had stops in Vancouver, Florida, Anaheim and Calgary.

This is absolutely disgusting, my jaw is touching the ground right now. I just can't understand that, I hate the Habs but now it's worst than ever, what a dump f*** organization. I wish they would get the 15th place and died in hell. Gauthier just prove he's a pure idiot.....wow just wow, where's the Molson in that?. Good luck with the little Cowboy......
The only reason I see is that they really want to keep Price in the team. I don't think it's because negociation were going bad or Halak was asking for alot of $$$$. I'm really speechless, Don Waddell isn't the worst GM anymore.

Honestly, I don't see why everyone is freaking out. This is a decent deal.
1) Halak is RFA and the Blues have to sign him. 4mil? 5? They will be lucky to get him to bite for less than that.
2) The return is two players in their early 20s, one of whom (Eller) could be a decent 2nd line center in a couple of years. AHL all star game last year and 13th overall pick in '07. Not bad.
3) The Habs are negotiating from a position of weakness. It's common knowledge that they couldn't realistically keep both Price and Halak. How would you have felt if that was the return for Price?
All in all, it's an OK deal. Not a home run, but Halak is out of the Conference an Price has the reigns again.
Now, where do we trade the rights to Pleks? Calgary? Columbus? NJ? All three of those teams need a decent two-way set up man (Iginla, Nash, Parise).
