Trade history screen shot will need to be posted. But basically rely on honesty.

Well we do have the trades screenshot that we post at the end of the season, along with the stats, standings, and playoff wins. That should cover it.

Something really odd: Evan McEneny is signed to a one year deal and back in junior, on loan from Canucks. Yet....he is still asking for entry level deal in negotiations. He is undrafted and Canucks have his rights, playing in Kingston. Confused by this. No listing of AI GM signing him etc.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up there but we all have him. You can re-sign him.

I could've gotten more for them, but that would've have meant draft picks in future drafts and unsigned prospects. Fucale is under contract to the Canadiens. Goaltending should be good.

Another word of advice...

Think about your trades very carefully. You're dealing a lot of assets and you'll probably have a million negotiations going. Pay attention to your roster needs.

******

So I started my game last week (because I made the saved game and had it available to me). I had a different save I used for testing. Anyhow, I was really excited about my team, thinking I had put together a great young team. I'm hoping they just need time to gel because they're not starting out so great!

In my test game I had made some interesting deals. I acquired...
Duncan Seimens
Jason Zucker
Liam O'Brien
Tom Wilson
Vladislav Namestnikov
Michael Bournival
Jacob de la Rose
Michael McCarron
Jared Tinordi
Zemgus Girgensons
Mikhail Grigorenko
Johan Larsson
Kevin Hayes
J.T. Miller
Sabres 2nd round pick
Penguins 1st round pick
Oilers 1st round pick

I think in my game I'm using I shot for less players but higher quality. Not sure that it worked out though.

That screenshot shows Fucale as not signed. It says "the rights to Fucale". If he was under contract to the Habs, it wouldn't say "the right to".

He is under contract to the Habs, but on loan to his junior team. I checked his contract before trading for him.

THat is really weird. IT should not say that for him, but I think it may have to do with the rolling of the contract to the next season? Maybe that is the new thing.

And yeah,...really careful indeed. I went too young (Draft picks mostly) when I was testing game. And wow...did I suck. Of course I was not coaching anything in that game and that may help a bit.

One word of advice, and the only one you will get from me....DO NOT LET BONINO be your first line center. Need to find someone else to work in that area.

ETA: Fucale signed MAy 8 in my game as well by Montreal. Shows in contracted/on loan to Remparts. Would not be shocked if this is why shows as rights to...

To me this means we have to watch for something more, and make sure we have screen shots showing guys are signed if we deal for youngsters on loan to junior.

I've noticed with this game, that if you coach instead of simulating, you'll have more success.

I have the 12th overall pick. I'm hoping Zacha drops down in the draft and is available when I step up to the table. The only other team ahead of me who is interested in him is Colorado, but I don't see them passing over Strome.

Thanks for pointing out the rights to vs contracted issue there, Stone. That might be something that should be added to the bug list for the game itself. :-k

B72--What is your opinion on this? Subban and Cassels are doing the thing where they are happy at team. They are not accepting deals, and board not giving enough to get them to what they are asking for. I have given them all bonuses, 30% two way salaries, and $275 up front and they are refusing to sign.

This is something that has been reported as an issue. They are happy with their roles in Junior? Really? So will not sign pro deal.

Thinking that we should be still allowed to try and sign these guys after their rights expire. Just for these guys...not later for other guys we actually draft, or for the Virtanen draft class.

Not really concerned just thought I would throw it out there as a thought.

Is anyone else having the same issue as me?

I've noticed that the teams don't really pay attention to the salaries if you're making deals in the off-season. Other teams will take on far too much salary in trades and then later on they're forced to trade away guys they might not have. For example, I broke the St. Louis Blues. Of course, they're 2-0 to start the season and I'm 0-2, so maybe I didn't break them. Anyhow, they ended up trading Stastny, Backes, and Berglund (not to me and not to the same team) and I can't help but think they made 2 of these deals because of me. :nerd:

I was able to sign Subban in my test game but not my actual one. I can't recall if Cassels signed in my test. I lost both in my regular game.

If people really want/need these guys, I guess it's okay if they sign them.

Nah, if you lost em I am fine with losing them. Was just looking at possibly seeing the peeps asking for them. :-D Big names right now in Vancouver prospects, especially with Cassels playing so well at Mem Cup and shutting down McDavid and STrome. Subban just signed as well IRL

--But they are not that good in EHM EA db as of now, and do not see them playing for me. Manimal will start getting Canuck fans all over him very soon. :-D

Cassels didn't look so bad in the game. Subban was rubbish though.

So who is the best player everyone was able to land? I know it's probably going to take a while for everyone to make their deals but I figured I'd throw it out there and ask. For me... it's Tarasenko! 8-)

At first glance, it's either Fucale or Wikstrand.

You can't get rid of Conacher... at least not yet! :-p

To take over as GM you have to retire the temporary GM I added (TBL Challenge). Once you've retired that GM, you should be prompted to add a new one.
