I can't tell ya how fun it is to see so many new projects in the works. My mom used to say this about cooking for the family; you enjoy seeing people enjoy your work but nothing tastes as good as when you didn't have to go through the process of making it A bit of strained comparison there I know but it's great to see people developing stuff for the game. Tasty
One of my first efforts at "fading" the logo to appear under the ice. This is one I made from the "huge" logos and resized down to 100x100. Opacity set at 70 in this screenshot. In game I think it looks pretty good buy maybe go down to 65 on opacity, what do you think?
Does anyone know, or is there an "easy" way to remove the center line from the faceoff circle so it doesn't cut through the logo? I tried messing with the red_line_middle file. First I just removed it ( yeah thought that would be to easy) and the game wouldn't load, error popped up. Then tried making the red_line_middle file transparent, which worked but the whole line disappeared from side to side
I would be very happy to play using my current logos and B Stinson's rink mod if I could keep the redline from cutting my logos in two
Well, thanks for downloading it . I'm actually suprised at how fast it spread.
As for the center-line... my only guess would be to make the 'middle' file fully transperent, but you tried that. Other than that, it sounds like smoke and mirrors would be needed from other files to "cover" the redline, but chances are - that'll cause collateral damage and mess something else up. *if you notice on the redline from my rink mods, there's a small white gap between the line and the logo. The NHL does this(they don't allow anything to interfere with official markings) and I had to do it with the faceoff circle, not the line. I tried adding the gaps to the line, but the game is so tight that just 2 extra pixels added to the files' width made it not load.

Thanks, kind of figured it was going to be something that was either hard to do or couldn't be done.
Still very happy with the stuff that has come out in just one week.
The lines are done differently between 05 and 07; with 05 all the 'rink markings' were one big image, but with the 07 2d ice, lines are actually created from two tiny pieces that repeat themselves over and over to fill the space between the boards.
As previosuly post though the lines over the center ice logos is how it is done on actual NHL rinks as well.

Thanks for the info on how the nhl does it. I guess I had never noticed. I did lower the opacity though and it makes it much better.
