How will the college hockey leagues work?

You don't use a real recruiting system. What tends to happen though is you "sign" players to 3 or 4-year contracts with little or no actual monetary value, and schools will kinda' battle over signing younger players based somewhat on the schools' reputations. I believe Alessandro said he's limiting US collegiate conferences to up to age 24 (so age range of 17 to 24), at which point even if they're signed you won't be able to play them in games.

The USHL unfortunately is one of the leagues taht should not be played right now, just really run as view-only to check how players pan out in a playable league with full stats, etc. Only Russian junior leagues work well right now, most likely due to KHL affiliations. Austrian, czech junior leagues, as well as the USHL, have the problem that teams won't sign players and you'll end up with teams having rosters of 5 to 10 players. Riz is aware and will fix it.

Do you think this is the kind of fix that would require a new game to have effect? or a saved game would be fine and teams will suddenly start to sign players once the fix is applied to the game?

I'm not sure if it's unique to my playthroughs, but I've seen this issue in the AHL as well. Some teams won't fill out their roster and end up with under 12 players, and in some occasions, no goalies so they run with the computer-generated sucky ones. And it's not as if the NHL teams are calling up all of the AHL players, the AHL teams just will enough players.

I think that most likely this would be a code fix but maybe it will involve something db-related. It's hard to reply when you're not the game creator
