Minstrel wrote:I think they look great: I'm using them as my player news item images like I mentioned above. The one thing I noticed though is that I think you might want to consider making the right and left sides of your name area black, as you have a few pixels of white that stick out in the bottom right and left corners from underneath the flags
Thanks Minty, I'll go back and look em over for errors. When you get churning them out at the rate I've been going, attention to detail starts to slip just a hair. 8-)

Cheers.

I think the prob is that the flags have rounded not squared corners so you get a little bit of white from your background showing through, I'd just fill that part of your template in with black to the edges and it should be fine

I made myself some cards last night for players on my Columbus team that didn't have pics and I forgot to change a name one time and forgot to change the country another time so I know how it goes once you start pumpin them out... always good to double check 'em ingame to be sure.

Keep up the good work :wtg:

Yep, just looked em over and it's all 115 cards from the first pack that are affected, so that will take me some time to change. I have emailed you my prospects pack and they use a slight variation on the original template, so they are fine.

Can we update the northeast file when I get the changes made?

Cheers and thanks again for all your help Minty. =D>

Awesome, just tested it out and it works like a charm. :joy: They do look better in-game with those few pixels cleaned up. Going back through them gave me a chance to fix up some other minor flaws with my actual PSD files as well as the JPGs, so thanks for the heads-up Minty. And apologies to all who downloaded these...I won't be as sloppy in the future!

Speaking of the future, what do you think of the Prospects pack I sent you Minty? I think the minor changes make a big difference  ...and they look saweet in-game. My EHM screen is slowly getting darker and edgier and I'm really enjoying designing this stuff. Plus, it gives me something to do while I'm up all night. :nosleep:

Cheers. :hombre: :ninja:

Always good to have another insomniac project creator on board and I really dig the edgy style, I was goign to mention the back in black look of the prospects cards is really sweet. Reminds me of some of my skin designs for 2005, would fit right in with my Metal style. It's all in the testing I figured out with working on skins which are a kajillion little elements, and it's those finishing touches that make a big difference in the long run.

Once I get the rest of the NHL divisions done (2-3 weeks??) I'll release my templates if people are interested in them.
