Chris Simon is NOT going to come back to the league, or any other hockey league, and duplicate this action. I already used them as an example, but here I'll use their names again. Did Tony Granato or Scott Niedermayer duplicate their head chopping acts once they served their lengthy suspensions?
Isolated incident.

Maybe an isolated incident, but it must be punished hard. Else the league would take the risk to see more and more of this bad things.
And about Hollweg, yeah he often makes questionnable hits. He maybe wouldn't do so if penalized more often and suspended more often. Simon's slash deserves a suspension, but Hollweg's check from behind mustn't stay unpunished as it has been. Else he'll do it again.
Some players seem to forgot that checking is used to separate a player from the puck, not from consciousness!
