We could play an exhibition in the offseason, if you don't mind.getzlaf15 wrote:No need, i fixed the problem. For my large logo, only .JPG worked, the other 2 "supported" formats didn't. And for my small i had to use .GIF.

I am currently 2nd in league, about 10 points behind leader, I have put all my money into areas like training centre and stuff, everything is coming up nicely

I didn't have time to inform everyone earlier, but the restart of PowerPlay Manager has been succesfull on April 6th! Now we are in the full version. The very first league games will be on April 20th, so you still have a few days to create your team and start your manager career at the same time as everyone else!
Hope to see some of you on PPM

And another nice news from the PPM front!
At the occasion of the 2009 IIHF World Championships (April 24th - May 10th), PowerPlay Manager is offering a promotion giving a +20% bonus when buying credits!
So if you spend 28€ to buy 350 credits and take the PRO pack for 1 year (which costs 320 credits), you'll get in fact 420 credits, allowing you to renew your PRO pack for 3 other months (3 months = 95 credits).
So that's a good time to join and benefit from all the PRO functions longer!
Btw, you can also join and play for free. The PRO pack offers more comfort to the game, but provides absolutely NO advantage in terms of results.
Hope to see you soon at www.powerplaymanager.com !

Joe, i've sent you a home and away game if you fancy losing.
Selne, I've sent you two new challenges, home and away.

Mine's a nightmare too! He allowed 6, 7, 7, and 4 goals over the first 4 league games. His last one was by far his best performance, with a 87.5%, the first time of the season he is over 80%, and he's now at 78.0% since the start of the season. Yes, he is my starting goaliegetzlaf15 wrote:That aint hard. My goalie's suck.
I'm glad i've elected to start from rock bottom and develop my squad patiently. With such poor goaltending, it would have been impossible to make a quick start and look for the title in season 1...
Btw, what league are you all in? For me, it's France IV.11

I'm in IV.20 (Germany). 4 games into the season two games lost, two games won.
Ok, now to the serious part:
Shadd, now that i've been playing this game for about two weeks i have to say I am already tired!! Tired of the flash advertising, tired of a thousand bottoms that lead to buy the "pro" status. And the "pagetrackers" that you can see in the html code of the sites.. try to load the site with a dial up connection, it's almost impossible without a code change in the browser.
And this huge bar "activate the pro pack" at the top of the page seems bigger than everything else. There are so many sites for different online sims, but i think the only way to be special is not to overload it with things that no one needs.
If you read this, i hope you take it as a positive critique, because i think the idea that you have to look at your players first and then to build a tactic around them (what probably is the key to success in this game) is a good one. But since the first day i joined the game i had the impression, it's more about the commerce in this game than everything else.

@Selne: critics taken.
Honestly, the game has some financial troubles right now. Nothing dramatic yet, but the devs are trying to get incomes quickly to secure the financial situation as soon as possible and develop the other sports without having to be afraid of the finances. But you may be right about the fact that there's too much talks about the PRO pack and all. I'm gonna discuss it with the devs in the very near future, especially since it's not the first time i hear that remark.
About the ads... Use firefox, get the "AdBlock" module, and get rid of most of those annoying ads!
Works like a charm
