We've been to a few NHL games now, but we've always been high up in the stands. My brother said sitting at the front really showed how phenomenally fast the game is in the NHL. He said Duchene was incredible and seemed to have the puck on a string.

Lucky guy indeed. Once my job situation is more secure and I have some funds, I'm going to have to sort a trip over to the US/Canada to see a few games.

I've always been high when going to MTL. At first I thought it would be boring but that's probably the best place ever. You can see everything on the ice and most of the time the ambiance is way better there than down with people who have money. :-p

But I would like one time to be in the first rows to notice how fast the game is.

Ooof last game I saw live? Was either the Czech-Latvia men's game or the Slovak-Swiss women's game during the 2010 Olympics... unless the Victoria Royals entered the WHL after 2010, because I went once to a Giants game against the Royals.

Last NHL game I went to was Canucks-Wild... before the Olympics. I've only been to 3 or 4 NHL games at GM Place, though went to a few dozen at Pacific Coliseum, including a playoff game in 199...2? Against the Oilers in the 2nd round. The first game I went to at GM Place was the Canada-Russia World Cup game.

Come to think of it, I haven't been to any game since 2010 either - since I moved out of Quebec City actually. I now live in the middle of nowhere, there's no decent hockey to be watched within a 5 or 6 hours drive radius around here :-x

I'm considering visiting my family in the coming weeks though, I think I'll attend a Saguenéens game while I'm there :)

Took my girlfriend to watch the match last night she says she really enjoyed it. She likes the fact that they have to go to the 'naughty step' (penalty box) when they do something wrong :-D

We won 5-3 :joy: it got abit fiesty and there was some scuffling going on well after the final period

Might get lucky next week. The new promotion's already paying off! The manager of the grocery contacted me on FB to let me know he got free tickets for the Habs game vs the Rangers next saturday and he wants me to go with him as a "welcome" in the managers team! Those seems to be pretty good tickets worth in the 200$ or so.

Pretty good game yesterday between the Rags and the Habs! The tickets were way better than I thought they would be! We were like 7 rows from the ice, right in front of the net! That was the first time I was so close to the ice and it's impressive to see the speed of the game compared to what it looks like on TV.

Price and Lundqvist both made some good saves where I was and two goals were awesome to see up-close. Galchenyuk was also impressive to watch, pretty fast and the kid got awesome hands. Though for the Rags not many players showed something great, I was eager to see Hagelin since I heard he's really fast but he was kinda invisible. Anthony Duclair was interesting as a rookie, good speed and seems to have a good hockey sense.

Here's a little vid of the warm up. Watch the sound though.

Very nice view! 8-)

My brother is going to the Sharks v Flames game at the end of November / early December. Very jealous!

As for the most recent game I saw; it was last night with Guildford v Sheffield. It was arguably one of the dullest games I've ever seen - it ended 11-1 to Guildford. I've never seen such a landslide victory in the EPIHL.

If Philou posts again we should remove the posts immediately. Just to keep it at even 7000. 8-)

Unless of course if he posts 1000 times at once, so that it goes straight to 8000, then it's fine.

I am a Guildford fan! :D Well, I support whichever team I happen to live near to (which is currently Guildford). I prefer watching closer games. Last night was simply no contest.

If it can be done by anyone it is Philou. I mean he has already had 7000 totally non-sensical posts in a row in rapid succession...so 1000 more is no problem

SHhh.. Tasku he is not even supposed to know about the mods forum.

Last game I Saw live...yeah I dunno.

I got to 10000 posts by

1. Making fun of drunken Finns
2. making fun of Tony Hand
3. Arguing with total morons--which in turn, makes me just as darn dumb. NOT.
4. Making fun of philou
5. Posting nauseating stats from my challenge teams, including who won the Super Novice division 14 title in Rhwanda in every season.
6. Making fun of Calv.
7. Telling Getzlaf15 he has zero knowledge of what is a fair trade in Fantasy Hockey.
8. Telling Manimal to pass the meatballs and asking him when the next update will be out for rosters.
9. Discussing actual real life hockey.... in you know the hockey forums...they do exist, but it seems most posters on this site cannot find it.
10. writing soliloquies like this one that poke fun at myself.
11. Saying welcome 2000 times in the arrivals forum, without actually saying anything else.
12. Setting up MWE with Tom Sestito for a dinnner date.
13. Discussing some sport they apparently play on ice in England and try to call ice hockey...when clearly there is no resemblance to the actual sport of "ice" hockey. Ice is not needed by the way you silly Euros. Call that other sport that has hockey in it grass hockey, or field hockey or girly wimpy only right handers need apply hockey.
14. Arguing with people why Fabian Brunnstrom will not be a saviour for the Vancouver Canucks.....
15. Arguing why the Vancouver Canucks are not as good as some people think.
16. arguing why the Vancouver Canucks are not as bad as some people think.
17. arguing why the Vancovuer Canucks are not as annoying as some people think.,
18. Arguing why the Vancouver Canucks are as annoying as some people think.
19. Arguing why Philou loves the Montreal Canadians.
20. Arguing why Don Cherry is right.
21. Arguing why Don Cherry is wrong.
22. Arguing why Robin Lehner is a sieve.
23. Arguing why not all Maple Leaf players need an upgrade in EHM.
24. arguing why not all Canuck players need an upgrade in EHM

But mostly....making fun of drunken Finns, Tony Hand and philou.

Just got back from a game in the SHL. My favourite team, Djurgården came to town to play the host team, Färjestad.
Djurgården had lost their previous 11 road games and was in great need of points near the bottom of the standings.
Färjestad was clearly the better team at first, but Djurgården kept them at bay with the help of former NHL-goalie Mikael Tellqvist.
Färjestad scored first in the 2nd period and looked way better. In the third Djurgården equalized and with less than three minutes to play they took the lead on a Power play. Färjestad pulled the goalie but couldn't score. Great win for Djurgården!
