Discuss all aspects of editing the data and databases in EHM here. Have a question about the EHM Editor, EHM Assistant, editing the .cfg files, hex editing the .dat or .db files? Want to tweak the EHM exe file to change league rules/structure, start date etc? This is the place!
Forum rules
This is the forum to discuss all aspects of editing the EHM data and tweaking the game.
Have a bug or feature request for the EHM Editor? Post them in the EHM Editor thread. Please start a new thread or post in another thread if you have a question about how to use the EHM Editor.
Given the large number of questions on similar topics, we ask that you start a new thread for a new question unless you can locate a similar question in an existing thread. This will hopefully ensure that similar questions do not get buried in large threads.
That's really odd because that particular date works for me, and it seems that you have the latest version of editor. I have no idea what's wrong. Is this the first time this problem occured?
Moved the question recently asked about the editor to the actual editor thread where it belongs. Caesarus, please take a look. The editor thread is stickied for a reason. We get tons of questions about it, and we like a neat and tidy place. Thanks
Not sure I understand the question. ARe you asking how a player from another country gets the ability to play for a national team in the game after playing in a country for two years???
IRL--Does not happen, unless they become citizens...not sure if possible in EHM

yes you understand correct . OK if I understand i cant made in editor that (npr. Brendan Yarema) play for Slovenia in 2008 year .
You if he doesn't have Slovenia as a nationality, you can add it as a second nationality or replace the primary one. This would have to be in the "Pre-game" editor as info like that is locked once a game is started.

I really have to try that some day. You can actually change the number of years before someone gets a second nationality in the pre-game editor. But I don't know if it works in the game. It's actually a pretty big/important thing for smaller hockey countries to improve their national teams.
It was a feature in the CM games, so maybe it also works in EHM. Can anyone actually confirm this?
I'm totally dense about this stuff but I'll ask this question anyway. I've been playing EHM at home and am really into the game. I have all the official patches and the use TBL:DB Unfaking Database which I have made subsequent changes to using the pre-game editor. My cousin has the game and wanted to start playing it and I suggested he take my database and overwrite the original database because I thought it would work and he would save time not having to make any changes. So I copied my database and sent it to him, he copied it into his overwriting the original files. He started a new game and none of my changes were apparent, his database was not even unfaked, it was simply the original database. Is it possible to achieve what I originally set out to achieve and if so, how?

In order to use different database you have to upgrade the game with the latest patch. Create new database directory beside the original one and put your own db there. When starting new game you will be asked which db you want to use. Simple
The latest patch fixes many bugs (some are major) so upgrading (for free) is recommended even if you don't plan to use different db. But who wouldn't use Lidas rosters these days...

It works, but it requires the player to never leave the team in which he plays for.
