Penguins lose!!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. Stupid Crosby. Penguins are done.
This is a win on three fronts:
Penguins lose.
Crosby loses.
and Bettman loses his precious little poster children at the hands of a real, original six, when-hockey-was-real-hockey, hockey team.
That's more of a middle finger in his face than the middle finger itself.
EDIT: Perhaps I should tone down the party smilies a bit. They were dizzying to watch!

Outstanding game tonight, Habs were awesome despite some weird penalties, Pens didn't got any emotions except in the second period maybe. That's the biggest surprise in my hockey life so far, just wow, Cammalleri is on fire I don't know what this guy eat but it works really well! I can't remember who put the Habs in 7 in is prediction....Hutch maybe?? Anyway good one.

Gionta but Cammalleri too! Those two guys are really working hard to help the team and it work well so far. Both guys are dedicated to the team and they really want to win.jbsnadb wrote:Who would have thought Gionta would have had such a big impact too? Meanwhile, looks like there'll be another Game Seven in the East...

It's been a nice run for the Habs so far, especially considering all of the dissention caused by Kostitsyn.
Meanwhile, the Flyers were 1:00 away from back-to-back shutouts. The Bruins played aggressively in the offensive zone, but were unable to find an answer to MICHAEL LEIGHTON!!!!!! And who would have thought that, after the years he's had so far in Philly, that Briere would finally step up and be a gamer?

Bettman will start responding by suspending the official that called the boarding penalty on Crosby.philou21 wrote:I'm surprise though that Bettman allowed the Habs to win. He lose the two guys who makes the must pub for him in the US. I've already read somewhere talking about pre-arrange game.....I was likeDo you really think he would let Crosby or Ovy lose against the Habs.

I think tomorrow night I may need a choke smiley to put up here. Although I am sure Stinson will have one.
Stinson and B72--You guys should be wagering on this game tomorrow. Maybe you have to wear the other guy's avatar for a month!
Tough choice for me. Love Lucic, but I have kind of had a soft spot for the Flyers since I was a kid. I used to get so widdled at Boston for losing to Montreal. And if the Bloody Bruins do win tomorrow...they are gonna lose to the blasted Habs again. So..I guess GO FLYERS>

I maybe just don't explain well what I wanna say.....I think it's ridiculous people who's saying that this game was trick, if it was really trick, do you think the Habs will have won? Anyway I don't want it trick and if it is, I don't wanna know, it would ruin my favorite passion forever but in a way....I wouldn't be THAT surprise if it would came out one day.Malone_is_AmericanFinesse wrote:I'll take that smiley as a no...thank God :whew:philou21 wrote:

None of the games are fixed (a "trick"). It's just not a feasible option for the NHL or anyone to undertake. It's too difficult. There's too many moving pieces, too many variables. Without getting too deep into it, I'll just stop right there. I think anyone that believes that the NHL conspires against teams or tries to get particular teams to the promise land is absurd and should really find a different sport all together - there's no place in our great game for fans like that to exist.philou21 wrote:I maybe just don't explain well what I wanna say.....I think it's ridiculous people who's saying that this game was trick, if it was really trick, do you think the Habs will have won? Not to mention all this conspiracy stuff is always a conspiracy - until it's not. "There's a conspiracy to get the Penguins and Capitals to meet again for ratings" - Caps lose in the first round. "Well, they got the Capitals out of the way so that the Penguins could win it all again" - Penguins lose in the second round. "The NHL wants Detroit to win so that Hockeytown brings in more fans" - Wings lose in second round. "The NHL wants to save the Coyotes by having them win the Cup" - Coyotes lose in first round.
In 1990's through 2001 the Capitals and Penguins used to meet seemingly every year (I can think of 6 or 7 off the top of my head in that 11 year stretch) and no one said bunk about it because that's just the way it happened. If that happens in this day and age, there would be an unbelievable amount of conspiracy talk about this and that. And if the Penguins have the same success as they did in the 1990's - then it would be doubled.
Conspiracy theorists are about as useful as Mike Green defensively in the playoffs...it's there and sometimes it looks like he might be on to something and then you give your head a shake and realize how incredibly bad he is.
Don't fret, don't worry about losing your passion for the game - it's not a real scenario...at all.

Point taken. Personnally how could you fake a game. A shot at 100 MPH is a shot at 100MPH, the player can't really want the speed he want and how the goalie can be warn where it would go or at what speed it would come, it's almost impossible. Plus, how can you fake a big injury when you see a guy leg twist 180 degree? Anyway like you said, not necessary to get too deep into it, too much things in the game to be easy to fake.Malone_is_AmericanFinesse wrote:There's too many moving pieces, too many variables. I'm glad somebody else is speaking up about the issue. I'm not going to disregard anyone's ideas about why there would be such a fix on things, as I do believe people's honest reasons for feeling that way.
I just don't see it how the media, especially with how much more open minded the internet has turned people, wouldn't be all over the NHL if there was even a possibility of things being on the fix.
And if Bettman and company were on the fix, shame on them for letting a lucrative market like the city of Atlanta fall completely flat.
