What if the Draft Years were set so that the players drafted in 2009 were drafted in 2006 in game? So John Tavares would be 1st overall in 2006. Steve Stamkos would be drafted in 2005, and Patrick Kane would be 2004. And so on and so fourth?

Just a couple of changes:

Affiliations

Anaheim Ducks are now sending their players to Toronto Marlies and Manitoba Moose of the AHL

Name Changes

Nikolai Antropov = Nik Antropov
Krys Barch = Krystofer Barch

Left Handed Goalies

Cam Ward
Mike Smith
Johan Hedberg
Mark Dekanich
Cedrick Desjardins
Nathan Lawson
Barry Brust
Thomas McCollum

They still have time to change to new affiliations until the next update is released. :-D

I once got a question

Based on what the limitation? Is the limit from Country or of the league?

When the limit based of Country....

Solves the problem only over a short time. There are no large number of players from Latvia! Thus, you will get problems in the coming years. The same problem exists with the Kazakh teams. I am in favour that only Russian teams in the KHL to play in the EHM. Thus, the opportunities for all teams are equal.

I suggested that draft year moving somewhere, but nobody were interested, but i still think it could be cool. Only bad thing is that it would be make again every year.

That is way too much work for something that does not afflect the game. More important would be to set the number of games played in the NHL so rookies are rookies and those who are not, are not.

All done,

- but I cant change the rules for foreign players, and changing draft years will just take too long time. I wish mne or someone else with coding skills could create an editor function or a script which fixes it. Same with player histories.

Adam Almqvist (Detroit Red Wings rights) has been moved.

On November 3rd he signed a three year deal with HV-71 of the Eliteserien league and this week he was loaned to Troja-Ljungby of Sweden's Allsvenskan.

May I suggest a tweaking of Flames centre O Jokinen? No doubt the player has talent but is remarkably inconsistent and frustrating IRL.
I'd knock down his determination, influence, team work and work rate to levels under 10.

Trade news:

Steve Guolla made contract with Tappara.
Jokerit resigned Hannu Aravirta from head coach role and their new head coach is Hannu Jortikka.

P.s. to text above: i don't think those should be under 10 but i think that those should be about 11 or something. And OJ's flair should be smaller, i don't remember what his current flair is, but i think that it should be 13 or something.

San Jose Sharks Team Colours

Home:

Foreground: White
Background: NHL Teal
Trim: Orange 1

Away

Foreground: NHL Teal
Background: White
Trim: Orange 1

Maybe the Oilers need a colour change too. Their 3rd Jersey from last year is now their home jersey, whether that is just this season or not is beyond me... :dunno:

I see in Extra Config that many player's numbers are added as Retired, but when I play the game they aren't retired. I tried adding a date like 1 9 2006 after the ones that aren't already retired in the game, but it seems that only some of them actually get retired when I sim past that day. It seems random. I also tried to have one number retire each day, but some days it just doesn't work. Any idea what the problem is?

Do you play fantasy draft? There are some bugs concerning the retiring when playing a FD. I haven't had any trouble with it when playing a regular game and I've tested every startdate.

Eighth on the correct spelling. Best is, you copy an existing line and replace it with your data.

Control the line. Do you have your line may be inserted incorrectly? (forexample, players at # Retirements (Nonplayers + POT=140+)

I think I figured it out. It seems that only the people who are in the game already can have their number retired. So for instance, to retire Dan Snyder's number with the Thrashers: I created Dan Snyder as a player on the Thrashers, set him to retire on Aug. 30, 2006, then set his number to be retired on Sept. 1, 2006. I made his attributes low so hopefully no one will hire him as a staff member and he will disappear.

As for others, it might not matter to make their attributes low since they could actually be hired (unless they're dead or really old). I haven't created all the people yet so I'll let you know if it doesn't work all the time or whatever.

Todays in Finland people give to their children names, which were popular in 40's to 50's, like Elias, Juhani etc.

Sorry for double posting, but you could boost Tuukka Mäntyläs aggression, since he's been thrown out of the game a lot this year. He's been making questianble hits and fighting alot. Maybe like 15-16 would be better for him.
