Ovy 4 millions and Malkin 2.5 millions. That's probably edited.

Ovi is 40 and Malkin is 39, both have won multiple stanley cups in this save. Plus I was the only team to offer them contracts and thats the amount they wanted

At late age "big players" take quite cheap contracts... And now I'm at point that I have won 3-4 SCs in row and one of my top players retired and had problems to get to salary floor while leading the NHL :dunno:

Found this recently, 1st time ever i play EHM found this kind of news..

But when I played as Devils, I cannot retired his number..Why?

Unless i edited the save game in editor..why can we GM retired the number on game itself?

Open that imgur picture. Right click on the image, open it in new tab/window. That address; copy it into the /img line.

(The top one is the sim history, bottom is real) So the Bruins have made the Stanley Cup Finals for 3 straight years and have won it twice in a row. Have also won the presidents trophy for 3 straight seasons as well... Dynasty I'll have to say... Image

Maybe the AvR takes into account more than just points? Maybe it takes into account ice time? I also notice despite the 100 points he's a minus player...

When the rating is that bad it's sometimes because he plays too much. It happened to some of my good players when I played in the OHL.

Well this a screenshot but it's not "funny/weird/cool" for me at least. :-(

Anyone experienced anything like this and could help me out here? I play the 98/99 db, I replaced Jets with Hornets, other than that it's the same franchise.

Are you over the Team Budget? If yes, are you way over and/or have you been over for awhile?
I know I've suggested to Riz that there should be something to stop GMs from exceeding Team Budget with essentially no consequences...

This team has always lost money, even when I started with an empty team and only signed rubbish players. :-( There's nothing I can do about it?!

So this means I can't really play with this team and hope for a nice franchise in making?

But were you over the Player Budget?
If you weren't over the Player Budget (and the Chairman's Business/Resources & Fan Support/Arena size were reasonable/realistic for the League) then it seems like a bug, and IMO you should report it to Riz on the SI Forums and upload your saved game

But if you were over the Player Budget, IMO it's a good thing that something (finally) happens in game like it would IRL

As you know the starting Player Budget is set in the database, as are factors that connect to money making (like Fan Support/Arena size and Business/Resources for the Chairman), so I would think you could still set things as low/challenging but reasonable/realistic for the League and you should be able to "really play with this team and hope for a nice franchise in making"

I realized that the old save was from the v1.0 databasen. Before you did all those contract changes etc. Might not actually change Winnipeg's income though. But I got tired of it and I just started a new game with v.1.1 as New York Rangers. :-)

Back to my old save. I was at that last season 1.5 millions over player budget. But it was still VERY low compared to NHL standard. I was in a middle of rebuilding and had lots of cheap prospects in my team. :-(

It'll be interesting to see if others have similar experiences...I have to say I LOVE the idea that there might be actual consequences for going over Player Budget (my previous testing showed all teams ended up at the same level for Player Budget...I hope that's been fixed too)

To me being able to go over an owner assigned Player Budget without consequences is very unrealistic, especially given that ingame you can ask the owner for an increase (as is all teams ending up with the same amount for Player Budgets...though it might be a desirable option in an online League)

Well my Winnipeg had somewhere around 30 millions. Now with my Rangers I have 50 mil, and the Salary Cap is 48 mil.

Check it after 3-5 years (my testing showed they all ended up the same http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 10&t=17316)

Keenan Reynolds, what a gem picked by the LA Kings.
Had only 17 points in 50 GP in the OHL as an one year draft overager, as an 2 year draft overager he put up 47 points in 62 games
Image
and the Kings pick him as an double overager at the 2018 draft, 125th overall
Image
And he looks like an future Selke candidate, and a Don Cherry wet dream, Ontario boy and all

Well he's darn determined to play, that might be the reason he stayed in the game, you need to want it ;)
