... I'm looking at the LidasDB right now.

I'd just like to mention that Mark Messier is in the database.
Consistency of Messier : 15.

Basically : at worst, you have BrindAmour. At best, you have Messier. But thats probably Messier, and congrats, you just got your hands on the 3rd best player of the database. (and the most overrated one as well).

It's pretty easy to use some of the weaknesses in the trading AI to target and acquire players.

It will not be that easy when they all ask 5 millions each at the same time. :-D :-p

also came across the obvious sundin regen.. no other 6'5 swedish centers.

Gobs of talent in the upcoming import draft due to all the retirements.
It's Forsberg.

Yep Foppa he is.
That\s great but he still won't join my PA Raiders team based on language barrier, even with the 500k signing bonus., same goes for the latvian goalie i drafted with Lewiston and Nicklas Jensen, a big headed dane i drafted in the 2007 CHL draft.

Wondering whose regen this could be. His name is Michail Marten, a German Goalie with amazing stats. I had him in the OHL and he went 35-5-1 with a 1.23 G.A.A and .946% save percentage. 6 feet 1 inch and is more of a butterfly goalie. Any ideas?

In what year are you? I'm almost sure it's Kolzig.

I am in year 2011/2012. Yeah I think it is Kolzig. I only got him for one year, NHL called him up right after they drafted him. He was 17 when he played for me.

Does anyone else notice that a player's consistency (especially regens) raises throughout development?

I drafted a Russian D-Man in 2009 with a consistency of 10. It is now 2012 and after 2 years in the AHL and one in the NHL his consistency is 13. The same has happened with a swedish forward who has raised from 16 to 17 in consistency. I thought consistency was always set?

Noup, it can change, depending how good the player plays, I guess. But on my experience, it can only change a bit. So a player with a consistency of 9 can't reach a consistency of 20, no matter how good they play. I think it can change one to three points.

Hi :-)

Who is this? I'm playing lidas 2.1 database.

Maybe Sakic? Modano? My scouts thinks he is "a more talented version of Datsyuk" 8-)

One thing is clear, it's not Mike Modano's regen as Modano is American and this guy is Canadian.

Ah right, sorry  for some reason I thought that Modano is Canadian...
Could it be Messier?

Do you ever get to see star players generated in B-countries, like Kopitar IRL? I almost never see this happen. I guess it's the backside of that you minimized wide range random PA in your rooster Lidas. Or maybe I'm just unlucky?

what i did in the pre-game editor is find some older players from the B-countries and up their potential, so that the regens are better than the original.
it seems to have worked as i have an icelandic LW i drafted in the 3rd round in 2015 who could develop into 3 liner. unfortunately i had to sign him as an 18 year old because it was late august and he was still a FA, i had hoped he'd sign on in norway or a lower swed/fin league. i put him in echl for the year and he ended up with 18-30-48 and around a 6.75 rating.
