Are you being sarcastic? He could just gain the interest of more teams towards him. He. Clearly stated at the start of the training camp that he was there to simply "honor" his contract and nothing else.CJ wrote:What's the logic in that?philou21 wrote:I wonder if Duchene is playing better to get traded
Manimal. Yes he can also just do his job. Just like most of the team right now.
Will Butcher is looking good in NJ. Too bad he didn't wanted to sign with Colorado. He's got 5 assists in 3 games.

So, how did you fix Yakupov?philou21 wrote:I'll take that 6-3 win over Boston with 37 shots.Yakupov and Duchene both have 2 pts. I wonder if Duchene is playing better to get traded or he's actually having fun.
We tried doing that for years and years.

Re: Official NHL Season 2017-2018 Thread
Maybe he just have a bit of wings to impress his new team and it will not last for a long time. Who knows?
I wish he can get his career back on track but I'm not dreaming either. Yakupov will never be the player we expected him to be. If he reach 40 pts I'll be happy.
Edit: I just watched the game recap on TV and MacKinnon got injured to an eye during the game. There's not much details though but I hope it's not something bad.

DET is 4-1 because... of course they are?
RIght now the forwards are carrying the team, even defensively.
Vegas is 3-1, which I think a lot of people *arent* surprised at. They're not going to be a normal expansion team, the rules favored them getting players far too well.
Colorado is also 3-1.
Those are 3 of your 4 division leaders it seems right now. Can't imagine that holds fo rlong.

Well, Vegas built so smart and also got lucky with Fluery and Neal being available due to the teams wanting to shed a contract.Primis wrote:DET is 4-1 because... of course they are?RIght now the forwards are carrying the team, even defensively.

Colorado is actually 4-1 now. I don't expect them to maintain the rythm all season but they definitely have a chance to make the playoffs in the last spots if they play well enough. Last year was a huge step backward but with the players they have in offense they can do better.

Great game between Caps and Devils. Two fights. Tom Wilson gave Blake Coleman a proper beating with a grin on his face all the way thorough!
T.J. Oshie with a couple of nice goals and Ovechkin with his 9th of the season, Caps with a 5-2 win.

Well Washington just got destroyed by Philly.
Habs lost again but it was a good game though.
Rangers defeated again? What's going on with them!

Yes ! And I hope it will be even better with EK when he comes back to play
Also, I'm eagerly waiting for the Centenial Classic jersey reveal, hopefully Sens will show a new version of the black heritage jersey that will become the primary next year

Another game getting outshot and another defeat for the Avs. Shoot more dammit!
Eleven defeats in a row for MTL at San Jose now. They haven't won since 1999 there!

Bergevin is in serious trouble now..
MTL has a lot of cap space and several holes to fill. Knowing how harsh is the fanbase in Quebec, I'm not surprised he's wanted out by more and more people..
Price saving games doesn't seem to work that well anymore

Re: Official NHL Season 2017-2018 Thread
The team is really bad. The defense is way too slow and the offense is scared of going into the corners to get the puck.
Drouin is the only one right now with a good set of skills. They keep destroying Galchenyuk confidence and he's worst every games.
This team truly needs a REAL reconstruction but Molson doesn't care. The Bell Center is still full each games and the money keeps flowing. When he'll lose money maybe he's going to do something. The also need a real president. I think Bergevin gets really bad advices too. Everything seems bad.

And another defeat for MTL! Six in a row now. It was 1-1 until they decided to collapse with 10 min left in the third period. This team can't play for 60 min straight at all it's pathetic.

It's tough for Montoya, he had a good game until Kings scored their 2nd and 3rd..

I've watched almost all Winnipeg games. They're are so bad.. I'm surprised they have 3 wins. Laine can't compete with Matthews this year as long as this continues. Not that it's of any importance..
Same goes for Florida with 2 wins.

Winnipeg has so many good young players. That sucks for them. They really need a better defense and goalies because offensively they don't really have a problem.

Re: Official NHL Season 2017-2018 Thread
Steve Mason is the best one they've had in... like ever, he has never been in a great team. But he can't do anything with that D. 5 D men have over 3 mil. And Trouba which is good and the best prospect (or Josh Morrissey) has the lowest salary of them with 3 mil.philou21 wrote:Winnipeg has so many good young players. That sucks for them. Myers 5.5, Enström 5.75... That's really bad.
I was thinking for myself (after the first two games even) that Paul Maurice will get kicked first of all Head coaches.
