Updated the rosters, they should be 100% accurate now.

In other news I won the Manchester Phoenix raffle and will be picking up my signed gameworn Anthony Battaglia jersey tomorrow, which he wore in the 10-3 win over Edinburgh, in which he managed 2 goals and 1 asssist! :-D

Have you booked off the weekend for the Kings - Ducks game in London? If you're pressed for time, you can easily travel down on Saturday morning and go back on Sunday afternoon. Have you received the tickets for that yet?

I've put it down in the diary at work that I'll be away, not sure if I'll have to book it as a holiday or not though. The tickets haven't arrived yet but when they do they'll arrive at yours cos they went to my billing address!

Hey uk guys, I'm wondering if you know how to get the "London NHL" tickets.
I have seen some adds on ebay, but im wondering if they are possible to get in some other way?

I have booked a flight to london on september 28, so I'm hoping to get a ticket to the game on saturday.

Best regards/ fishi

not sure about the tickets as they're sold out, your best bet is probably eBay :dunno:
Got my shirt today but it's not signed by Battaglia, which they said it would be and he's not confirmed as coming back next year :-(

That sucks about the signature. I hope he does come back - he's great! :D Did they wash the shirt before they gave it to you?!

You don't want it washed. Best thing about hockey kit is the smell.

And Phoenix should be announcing a new signing pretty soon. They've offered out the contract but the player is currently on holiday.
Tony Hand wrote: I’m satisfied that my recent research has found the player to fit the role and everything has been agreed in principle with the agent, it’s just a case now of exchanging paperwork. The player is fully aware of everything, but is currently away on holiday, so it’s likely to be at least a week before we have his signature and can formally announce him joining the club. We’re still busy on a number of possible targets for the two remaining places and we hope to have these positions tied up very soon.

It does not smell sweaty because Battaglia is a floater :-p

Trivia: What hockey player is not on holiday right now?

answer: Eric Staal.

that looks pretty slick, i prefer it too the old one, as all that contained was advertisements, and the logo was like the size of my hand, (smaller infact) which was stupid, you add to dig your way into the shirt just to find out the team,

do you know when this is released?

you can pre-order it now and you'll get it in time for the new season, but make sure you order it before this Friday, otherwise they won't be able to get one in!
Some better pictures:

They've put the sponsors on the back which is so much better, it's not cluttered and the game face logo is nicer than the old one as well.

I don't like them, I think that the logo is too big. But everyone else seems to so its probably just me.

Coming from North America...that looks like a Roller Hockey Jersey. That being said, I don't mind it at all. Better than alot.

I kinda like those jerseys. - The big logo is pretty creative(And it actually does look like a roller hockey jersey). Though, being slightly obsessive compulsive, the off-centre logo is killing me.

I've updated the teams with the latest signings. Most of the teams are coming together now, although Edinburgh are a little light however they have more signings coming soon.

Phoenix have also signed their final defenceman and a forward as well, their names will be released as soon as all paperwork has been complete - probably next week.

Booked tickets to the Phoenix - Steelers preseason game which I'm looking forward to, I can't wait to see the new team in the (almost)completed rink! The final seats won't be in until October apparently, however 18 50" Plasma screens have been installed and the bar is almost complete as well. When I went in a couple of weeks ago they still hadn't painted the under ice logos yet but I'm hoping they'll be in as well! 26 days to go :-D

last time i was in there, there was no screen, and no sign of a bar, although the foundations of the seats have been introduced, what will the capacity be after they are all in?

ill update on saturday, thats when i have hockey, or i might skate tomorow, so ill get back to ya on the screen n bar, ill try n get some pictures

the capacity is something like 2250 seating and 250 standing, so 2500 in total
