If this works like other leagues I've played, you must have C play C and LW play LW and so on. Of course, some players have more than one position. It makes you choose your players more carefully than if you just have forwards playing any forward position.
That's a much better way of doing it. Last year we had that Forwards could play anywhere, i ended up with my whole team being RW's.

What was the point in the draft poll? Which was voted as Sunday. Not sure i can be there if it's saturday. Looks like it's set in stone though now.
The draft can still be changed if need be. And I know I said I'd go by the poll, but in this thread it looks like Saturday is being agreed on as the best day for many of us, including a few that originally thought Sunday, but would now like Saturday.

Fair enough. Go with the majority. I might be able to make the latter rounds if it's Saturday 11AM ET (4PM my time). I have a game in the day. But if it starts at 2pm my time, i may just make it back... I'll find out my game time tonight at training.

I'm sorry for my silence, been a little busy lately with my job and other stuff too.

I'm really happy with the time of the draft. In that time of evening I could've participated in the draft on Sunday too, but I have to admit I'll enjoy the draft more on Saturday with few beers.

Hope all (Getzlaf15 too) are able to take part in the draft! (I feel like I'm a little guilty in the overruling of the poll, you see...)

I just did a mock draft. It is a good thing to do before the real one, I think. Though, it's easier to get good players in a mock draft .

Now, we're just waiting for Danny(I think he's the one that hasn't yet) to sign up . What happens if he doesn't?

We'll have to figure that out soon. We can't do the draft without a full league.

:-k

Can you do a mock draft on that site or did you do it elsewhere? I wouldn't mind doing one of those.

You can do it there. In your email about the draft tomorrow it will tell you what link to click.

Ah! Must have missed it. I got the email but didn't read past the date and time. I just went to the website via my own bookmark and looked around for a mock draft button. I'll go check that email. Thanks!

So I just did a partial mock draft but aborted it because it really wasn't preparing me much. It was set for 10 teams and they had it set for just drafting F, D, and G, without forward positions broken down. On top of that, it was just me and one other person mock drafting and the rest was the computer, which just goes off the pre-rankings. So overall it didn't really prepare me for the draft. I'll just test my luck tomorrow against everyone.

Maybe it's time to call in one of the people on the waiting list? Not that many hours left until the draft is scheduled and doing it during the week would be near impossible since we are so spread out time zone wise.

But then again Danny (if that's who we are missing) seems to visit TBL mostly during the weekends, looking at his post history, so maybe it will sort itself out.

Six hours to go and no Danny. I'm getting concerned that he won't show.

6 hours? I thought it was 7.

Anywho... We need that last member for sure. It's time to check the reserves.

I'm guessing it's because it's an hour before the draft was scheduled for and that's when it normally opens things up. So now I think the draft time needs to be set again.

Yea looks like the window closed for today... We need to get one of the waiting list people into the league and then schedule a new time (preferably tomorrow I suppose).

I think we should be able to still schedule it for today. Hang tight. We're working on getting this thing going.

Good job, B.Stinson! He got things fixed so we're back on track!

I'm in the draft now! The chat is open there so we can trash talk away! BTW, Corinthian got that last pick anchor spot where he'll get back to back picks. Nice spot to pick from!

I think I took a couple more "hopefuls" than I was planning, but that should be fun to watch.

vanRiemsdyk is probably my biggest unplanned risk... I saw him there and just had to take him. ;)

I just missed getting a couple of guys that I wanted in the later rounds. They were getting taken 1 - 4 picks before mine. I don't know how well I can say I really did overall. I think a lot of times if I didn't see a player available that really interested me, I just took a Bruins player of the position I was looking to draft. I've got like 7 Bruins. It's probably not a good idea to have so many players from the same team on my roster.

Oh well! It should be interesting! :dunno:
