Jeez, I wish the Bruins could've picked up Kvasha for a 3rd!Systemfel wrote:For a 3rd, right?E5150_ca wrote:Kvasha goes to Pheonix.
The B's also got a 2nd rounder and a prospect for Samsonov.
I'm glad to hear the Bruins got a 2nd pick in the deal. I curious to find out who the prospect was. Who do the Oilers have in their system besides Shremp? I doubt they send him to Boston along with the pick and Reasoner.
EDIT:
Wow! Isn't that a bit much to give up for Weinrich? He's older than dirt!

That would be great, Reasoner, Schremp and a second round pick!!! But unfortunately I doubt it...bruins72 wrote:Jeez, I wish the Bruins could've picked up Kvasha for a 3rd!Systemfel wrote:For a 3rd, right?E5150_ca wrote:Kvasha goes to Pheonix.

Other notable prospects from Edmonton are....C: Marc-Antoine Pouliot, C: Yan Stastny, D: Matt Greene or C: Andrew Cogliano
Here u have a nice link about prospects: NHL Prospects

Yup. I have heard of him. Is he in their minor league system or is he still in junior (or college)? Sportsnet.ca says the trade was for Reasoner, a draft pick (they don't list it as a 2nd rounder), and a non-roster player. I'm not sure who qualifies as a non-roster player. Is that just anybody who isn't on the actual Edmonton Oilers roster?

Regarding the Arnason deal he is a great kid with tons of talent but he's too laid back for his career or is team's good. He's also not one that excells in pressure which is why everyone has jumped ahead of him for first line center duty pretty much. The other problem is that he is absolutely brutal in the faceoff circle... so much so that Steve Sullivan started to take his draws when the Hawks were in their own end in a situtation they needed to get puck possesion.
I won't slag on him as I've talked to him personally and he's a great kid and his dad was a pretty darn good player too... he's not a Yashin style headcase or a guy who doesn't care about the game, he loves it. It's just he's got this super laid back attitude and he's not one to push himself to be all he can be because he's just kinda cool with how he is and that's where the frustration has always been with him. He's one of those guys you pull for to "make good" but I fear he'll find his way back to the bench and/or AHL in Ottawa where they will ask him to produce and he could easily fall out of favor.
I absolutely love getting Bochenski in that deal though. Awesome! Nice work Dale! You the man!!

Interesting. Maybe it is him then? TSN is saying Reasoner, a 2nd, and a minor league player. Makes me think it could be Syvret.
EDIT:
It seems I'm a day later and a dollar short! You guys in Canada have the advantage over me. There is absolutely no coverage of the trade deadline here in the Boston area.
So they got Stastny back? They just sent him to Edmonton for a pick at the beginning of the season. Oh well! I'm just happy we got something in return for Samsonov. I know he would've left this sinking ship we call the Bruins once he was a UFA.
