I actually saw this in the 1st season. Needs to be fixed, my players were exhausted.
I said in my post, 1st season with Hurricanes I had 5-in-5, 2 off, 4-in-4...that's 9 games in 11 days! Crazy stuff there

I'm during first gameplay with Ak Bars Kazan in KHL and strange things I've noticed in few games. Sometimes players tries to score from end of the rink. Their shots are so strong and precise that goalies can't even hold the puck. It happened to me twice during the same match.

I hope they will tune down the scoring a bit or perhaps it can be fixed with the rosters?

Is there any advantage to putting a player on 24 day IR as oppose to 7 day if the player's injury is 24 days or longer?

24 day removes the cap hit while 7 day doesnt, right? Think thats how it works :P

ASG roster selection is borked.

Players selected in Season 2:
Ryan Clowe (17 points in 43 games)
Semyon Varlamov (3.11 GAA, .903Sv%)
Andrew Ladd (28 points in 45 games)

Players NOT selected:
Gustav Nyquist (63 points in 50 games)
Tyler Toffoli (57 points in 48 games)
Ben Bishop (2.16GAA, .921 Sv%, best stats in league for goalie)

Basicaly this is ehm2007 with a few different coloured screens, I have ehm2007 on my pc as well as Franchise Hockey Manager. So its an slightly updated version which I like much better than FHM which has stalled in its development. I think if EHM is taken to the next step with an improved visual match engine and some tweeks it will be a great game. So if its going to have some support I am all for it. I will still play easports nhl series but its more depth I want (which ehm has) but with a better visual match.

I have a hard time with wondering how much of this is due to the DB being not suited for this game.

Probably alot, will take a few DB-updates before it's suited for a new game i would assume, especially since plenty of things had to be set weirdly for EHM07 to be pretty realistic...

In my first season, I only had Kessel representing me in the ASG... while these guys (that were also having an exceptional season for me) were were not invited:
-St.Louis, Nyquist and Bozak who were both 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the leagues for points respectively, right behind Kessel.
-Fowler who was 1st for the Defensemen in points, goals, assists, +/-, etc. (He finished with over 100 points and won the Norris)
-Phaneuf was second in the leagues for points for a D.
-Bernier was in the top 5 for most categories...

If the all-stars teams are selected as they were in EHM07 it is based more on reputation than on performance.

I'm curious, do we know if they are planning on creating an accurate "fake" database with mock names or is the expectation that the community will make them. With the new player roles I'm not sure that's going to be an easy task by any means.

Do you mean where all the players stats etc. all match up to a real player, but they have a different name?

If so, that is what the database is like now. The players have the same history with a few changed stats, a they share a month of birth (not the same day) and they have very similar stats to the TBL database (I put this down to a difference in opinion of abilities)

If that is the case, does anyone have data from simming with the default database? I'd be interested in seeing how it plays out.

Yea I think most of the simulation testing and AI testing should be done with default database to accurately pin point what is currently wrong with the game.

I simmed a season or two with it. It seemed very similar.

It can be done with any database IMO. You just need to look at the numbers, not names when evaluating trades and other results.

This might be the wrong thread for it but didn't find a better one so here goes: So Voracek who sits 1st in points and 2nd i Av R wasn't picked for the ASG, that to me is a bit funny :) The picking method for ASG must be changed, maybe use some mix of reputation, points, Av R and maybe something else to make the selections?

I'm 4 games into the season. So far it looks great. Crosby and Fleury both struggeling, but other players can pick up (Sutter is scoring leader lol!). In the simulation though I've seen a few strange passes (like being on PK, getting puck behind net and instead of dumping it, passing it cross crease to the centerman....)

More to come once I play a bit more.

I had the same, Pacioretty top goal scorer two seasons in a row and hasn't been in ASG, neither have Daniel Sedin or Brent Seabrook and they've had two amazing seasons in a row!

I think SI may need to take a look at their scheduling algorithms. No way this Brutal Schedule is going to cut it.
- Week 1: 5 games in 6 days
- Week 2: 3 games in 5 days
- Week 3: 4 games in 5 days
- Week 4: 4 games in 7 days[/list]

That's only 12 days off for the month of November with 8 back-to-backs. Practice is going to be pretty light this month.
