Sounds like possibly an invalid Preferred Job setting (which shouldn't be an issue if you're using the latest version of the Editor) or possibly a mismatch between the Job For Club and Classification. I'll take a look at the publicly available v2.3.2 DB tomorrow.

It looks like the following two players have an invalid Job For Club. Try changing these to "Player":

Michael Francess 16.3.1986
Jack Burton 25.9.1992

I can't test whether this will fix it right this moment as I'm simming in order to diagnose the Swedish crash with the TBL Rosters, so I thought I'd post this just in the meantime. I'll modify the Editor so that such a mismatch cannot happen (i.e. it'll automatically fix it).

Edit: I have improved the validation in the Editor such that the above players' Jobs will be auto-fixed.

At the moment no. I have the issue isolated to a problem with one or many staff it's just going to take me a while to comb through the 53k+ staff in the database with Archi to determine the bug. I also don't have as much free time recently so I can't dedicate as much time as I'd like to at the moment to this.

I am working on bringing over all the updates I had done in 2.3.x over to the 2.2 roster, which will be released as 2.4.

Confirmed, issue is 100% tied to having staff contracted to National Teams, this became a problem post my Olympic team update. It looks like I can just undo these assignments and re-release a fixed roster, however, I want to make sure I do some more long term testing with multiple leagues selected first. Also, being I haven't really "worked" on the roster for most of the month of March I am pretty behind on some of the latest transactions. I'd also like to update 1-2 more NHL/AHL/ECHL teams so I'm going to shoot for having a 2.4 release by mid-next week at the latest.

It didn't occur to me that contracting staff to nations would be the cause. We need to do some more testing with the national team contracts as it something pretty new to us (the Pre-Game Editor for 2007 didn't have the capability to edit national team contracts in EHM 2007).

Glad to have been of help! So far things have been pretty stable, still get a random crash here or there but it appears to be just either my hardware or the game itself but I've had a few pretty stable quick sims with NHL/AHL/ECHL all selected well into 2021.

Ok everyone, thank you first and foremost for your patience, although the crashing SUCKED it helped identify some interesting things about National Teams in the game. This release has been tested using automated quick sims with the NHL, AHL and ECHL selected and I have had minimal crashing (sometimes in mid-Feburary or late December). Please ensure you have ROLLING SAVES enabled in your game, sometimes you are able to sim through crash events by choosing an older game (upwards of a month back from the event) and just keep trying to sim past it.

Here is 2.3.8, it's a fixed release with the following:

- Fixed crashing in mid-July 2018 caused by staff assignments to National Teams
- Updated transactions for multiple leagues - a lot of ELCs from college UFAs/prospects turning pro - This means a few teams are over 50 contracts to start, the AI will cut some low-quality AHL players
- Fixed some rookie status (McDavid/Mantha/Schwartz etc.), i hope, this is actually an EHM bug but I was sure to go back in the DB and ensure the season accrual counts were proper, if you see others please report them!
- Added Colorado Thunderbirds Bantam (Tier 1 Elite Bantam Major)
- Added Omaha Lancers AAA Bantam and created HPHL Bantam Major (will be adding more teams)
- A bunch of other little fixes/updates here and there

- Updated Calgary Flames (incl. Stockton/Adirondack) and Philadelphia Flyers (incl. Lehigh Valley/Reading)

No worries! Assumed you'd notice it at some point but just in case, and wasn't sure if it would mess with the ability to sign him if it wasn't added in. And just a quick question, what are Mackinnon's CA/PA? I'm on a Mac so I can't find the DB in my files but it seems weird since his start-game CA/PA has been in the 110s/120s. Not sure if it's bad luck of the draw for him or he has a more variable negative number

I changed it in the saved game editor and it seemed to stick, but I haven't had time to sim so I can see if that reverts back as well. His reputation numbers and roles seem to be more in line with a high CA/PA player than the 112/122
