I'm excited for Riz's 1.5 update and potential official editor. I'm sure it's not going to fix everything but having the Champions Hockey League format correct and the ability to not have NHL players in the Olympics will be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if the editor is coming out with 1.5 but having another way to tinker with things - perhaps more things (with all respect to archi's EHM Editor which for me has basically kept the game alive all these years :notworthy: ) will really add the the community's ability to massage certain aspects of the simulation.

I didn't know that this forum is here.

So, my wishlist:

Small icons of clubs next to name in NHL history winners.
Expansion draft.
More talks with chairman. (About new stadium, more capacity)
More options in talks with player (not only discipline but positive too)
New main background (or if we can edit this)
Generate faces for generate players.
Better version for new retired jerseys (but there is OK, I can edit this in Editor, so that's fine)
Move club from one city to another city during the save game in editor.
Some exhibition games in Europe for NHL teams.

I really love this game! But I know that there are options to be better.

And sorry for my English, I know that's bad. I'm from CZ.

Does the "Added support for custom databases that add extra playable World Junior Championship levels to make promotion/relegation work correctly" point in the 1.4 update suggest that additional divisions of the WJC will be playable? I love international management, so it'd be great to see youth players working their way from the U20's to the main team!

Would it be possible in future updates add the option to arrange exhibition matches and tournaments for international teams?

I've voiced before that I'd like both the CWHL and NWHL in the game, along with the national women's teams, and if Riz would add a flag for Male/Female (there are Staff in the game already that are female and referred to as "he" in the game, because it defaults everyone to that).

Truth is TBL rosters could accomplish creating the leagues, but there'd need to be researchers. And they're having enough trouble for getting researchers for even things like the ECHL as it is. And without a gender flag, there'd be no keeping the women's leagues from being taken over by male staff/players.

That doesn't tell much. What do you want updated? :-p

I know Nino posted an update about Riz's twitter saying he still works a bit on the game in his spare time.

A more realistic version of NCAA when it comes to recruiting would be awesome.

A little thing, maybe, but I'd like to see beefed-up match commentary. If I remember right, in EHM07, if the crowd was booing you could check the commentary and it would tell you what happened. Now it's ... they're booing, there's no penalty, I wonder what that was about?

I would really like to have more real-life scenarios like more talks with agents and the chairman and even coach. Also little things like conditioning stints and maybe being able to give credits to the players. Overall this game is still leaps and bounds ahead of EA Sports NHL and FHM.

I dream of having -6.5, -7.5, -8.5 and -9.5 PA which would make it easier for modders to create players. In NHL draft most players drafted are over 100 pa. This would make things easier to separate players from top 30 to top 60. Presently, they either share the sam -8 PA or are divided into -8 and -7 which in best/worst scenario gives a 50 points of PA difference like 160 - 110.
Moreover giving Nolan Foote who seems to be a nice prospect -9 can make him OP as hell if he gets lucky at the game start, while giving him -8 can create a scenario in which he is at his best a 4th liner in the NHL (which I assume is rather unlikely)

Primis how many researchers do you have currently? I would love to help, but have a minimal understanding on how excel works.

Well it's been nearly 2 years since an update of any kind. Even 1 person should be able to put out a yearly update even if it's a small one. Most of us are aware it's 1 person working on the game.

Like I said here and a couple of other threads. Even if Riz is alone his main job is focusing on FHM and he got a newborn baby a couple of months ago. So is spare time has diminish alot over the last years.

If like any normal people Riz wants to pass time with his family or have some time for himself. There's not much time left to work on EHM.

Part of the update is an ingame editor, and I suspect that's what's not done
Maybe 1.5 is the last update and so until the editor is done the update is held back? So releasing a small update isn't an option? I don't know, just guessing...

FHM has had lots of updates over the same time but you'd be paying $200 instead of $20

The fact that EHM 1 a) exists and b) is as good as it is itself is a miracle. An in-game editor alone would be icing on the cake. That said, an in-game editor would really top everything off wonderfully, at least for me. So knowing that it's in development is good enough

I'm not sure it was ever deemed to have many updates over time. During the Early Access period, there were a ton of updates but now with it's official release, I think Riz will just keep the base game going, and improve it over time.

I would love the player/chairman interactions to mirror what Fooball Manager does, but not sure how tough that would be to implement that
