I decided to start as unemployed. After first season in unemployed I got the job in Finland, Grankulla IFK (FIN-3), team was just promoted in the league. Team was full of bot players so I had to re-build hold team. Like you may guess Ifk didn’t have much money so most players what I got were unknown players. But somehow I got goalie Antti Niemi in my team. :-o He was one of the best players in the league and he got some trophies when season was end.

Still I did not manage to get my team in play-offs. It was close but injury crises and players bad fitness was key reason why team didn’t get on play-offs.

In the third season I move to ECHL Columbia Inferno when they need new fresh manager. Season 2008-2009 prewier Inferno was ranked in the top even last season was totally nightmare.

Inferno finish regular season on the top on table. And their first line Michael Doherty – John Mitchell – Greg Hogeboom was unstoppable in the league. Sad thing that before play-offs start Toronto Maple Leafs decide to call up Mitchell and Doherty. Bye Bye Kelly Cup. Inferno knocked up on semis. ](*,)

In the second season in Columbia was terrible. My team has big injury crises and Toronto messed up my roster sending and calling up players. My lines went mess. There was time when I have 10 defenders 8 attackers. Also one time I only have 14 players to put on field :D Still I managed get Columbus in play-offs but we were knocked in first round.

Third season was better. Inferno end regular season on fourth and in play-offs team reach again own division semi-finals.

My forth season in Inferno is soon starting but my big dream is of course NHL. I keep you all in touch ;)

p.s. sorry for my bad english...

Try that and see if you can be a "sick Gm" anymore. ;)
Deals were pretty fair, they werent good before my team got em. And I NEVER sign UFAs haha, unles its a roster filler

But I guess you use offensive/very offensive tactics? ;)
Try lowering the to normal and lower and things will be way harder and more fun (at least to me).

I've just started the 2018/2019-season with Frölunda playing in the Swedish Elitserien. We have won all seasons we have played so far, that means twelve straight wins. We've also won several European Champions Cup :D

I've also won the World Championship with both Sweden and USA and got some 3rd places with Sweden. I've got a 3rd place in the Olympics with USA and I have ended second in the Junior World Championship with USA. The best thing I've done with a small country is taken France to the World Championships second round.

Of course several players are regens but here's my team.

Mikko Koivunen - Joakim Andersson - Nino Niederreiter
Jakob Henriksson - Joel Lundqvist - Austin Watson
Melker Johnson - David Erkgärds - Fredrik Pettersson
Anton Axelsson - Jimmie Wikman - Felix Liljegren
Joseph Öhlund

Andreaz Barrling - Jamie McBain
Jonas Ahnelöv - Viktor Tuomainen
Niclas Rollin-Carlsson - Niklas Hjalmarsson
Cristofer Hammarström - Jonas Holös

Milos Vujtek - Robin Lehner

My favourite player is Jakob Henriksson who is 24 years old and turned down the Hurricanes to play with us :D

Another season goes without the cup.

Entering the 2019/20 season now still looking for that first cup, I've finished top of the Western last 4 years, but my players always bottle it in the playoffs, only managed to make the SC final twice, lost both teams to Atlanta >.>

Atlanta have a stud team as well, even though they are usually average in the regular season.

Had to trade some top talent as I hit salary cap problems, *sniff*, some long serving players as well, have to trade my third line center as well, as he thinks he's a franchise C, and he probably is, but he's only my 3rd line C and I can't afford to pay him 4.5m , he has great stamina, hasn't missed a game for me since he made his debut for me 7 years ago :-o

Noping some of my younger players who have been developing in the AHL can step up and lead me to that elusive cup.

Hey, I might not be very good at this game, but I can't wait for that first cup :p

I am currently in the 2048-49 NHL season with my beloved Montreal Canadiens.

I have won 7 Stanley Cups the most recent was in 2047-48 when I went with a 25 year old starting goalie and 21 year old back-up that won the job over the course of the season.

I am mid way (Dec 13, 2048) into the season, I am currently 1st in the East with a 22-8-2 record for 46pts. The Habs are 3rd in scoring with 3.94 GF and number 1 in GA with a mere 2.19.

In goal, my starter is Micheal Kolar, 22 born in Milevsko, CZE. In his 2nd season at the NHL level he is 17-5-1 with a 1.99 GAA and .925 Sv pct. He was drafted in 2044 2nd round pick, 60th overall.

His back up is Brent Logan, 26 born in Didby, NS CAN. This season after starting last season as a starter but eventually losing the job to Kolar, he is 5-3-1 2.65 GAA and .892 Sv Pct. He was acquired by trade for a older veteran goalie in 2044.

My Defense is lead by Cole Piche, 26 from Gravenhurst, Ont CAN. In his 5th season as a Habs defenseman, he has 0 G 11 A for 11 points but has a very good +20 rating. Piche was a 16th overall pick of the Oilers in 2041 and was acquired in a trade for a veteran power forward in 2042.

His Partner is Kuisma Koskela, 30 from Hyvinkaa, FIN. In his 12th season in the NHL, he has 2 G 16 A for 18 pts and +21 rating. Koskela was the Kings 53rd overall pick in 2036 and was acquired in a trade for a veteran defenseman that was asking for too much money in 2044.

An exciting young rookie made the Habs this season, Sergey Vorobiev, 22 from Sochi, RUS has started his NHL career with
3G and 13 A in 32 Games, he is also at +15 on the second pairing. Sergey was my 1st round, 30th overall pick in 2044.

The rest of the Defense is made up of...

Daryle Olynick, 25 from Etobicoke, On CAN.... 4pts in 32 games +13 (Habs 1st rounder 29th overall in 2041)
Hans Anderberg, 26 from Nykoping, SWE... 10pts in 32 games +16 (Wild 1st rounder 21st overall in 2041)
Ville-Veikko Sodo, 23 from Helsinki, FIN... 5 pts in 18 games +7 (Coyotes 1st rounder 17th overall in 2043)
Dusan Mertl, 28 from Frydek-Mistek, CZE.... 0 pts in 15 games +4 (Sharks 2nd rounder 55th overall in 2038)

Up front.....

RW- Mac Hanlon, 35 from Tulsa, OK USA... in his 16th season in the NHL, he had 20G 33 A for 53 pts and +23 in 32 games. The Habs most experienced player has played 1186 Games and had 1333 pts. Hanlon was originally a 1st round pick, 2 overall in 2031 Draft by the Devils, the Habs got him as a UFA in 2040 and has since won the 2042 Conn Smythe, 2044 Conn Smythe, 2045 Conn Smythe, 2047 Art Ross, and 2048 Conn Smythe. He had a career 51 goals, 133 pts in 2046-47.

C- Chip Carter, 30 from Addison, Il, USA... in his 12th season in the NHL, he has 13 G 18 A for 31 pts and is +20 in 32 games. He was a Devils first round, 6th overall pick in 2036 and was picked up in a trade for a veteran scoring forward in 2043.

RW- Ivan Hynek, 30 from Unicov, CZE... in his 9th NHL season all with Montreal he has 20 G 21 A for 41 pts and is +19 in 27 games. He was the Habs 49th overall pick in 2036. Interesting enough is best year was his rookie year in 2040-41 when he scored 51 Goals and 112 pts. He has not achieved a 50 goal season since but narrowly missing last season with 49.

The future....
C Denis Bure, 21 from Moscow, RUS.... in his 2nd season, 11 g 25 a for 36 pts and +13, (Habs second round 60th overall pick in 2045)

RW Jean Charron, 21 from Levis, Que CAN... in his rookie, 10g 13 a for 23 pts +7 (Wild 15th overall pick in 2045 and picked up a UFA when he went unsigned)

I wont bore you with the rest....

i'm now in my 5th season wih the blackhawks, having won the previous 4 stanley cups, but since last season i noticed that i make over 40-50 (sometimes 60) shots in a game and my players just can't seem to score, while the opposition make some 15-20 shots and scores more goals. and i have kovalchuk thornton iginla and luongo as goalie... so its really very frustrating to lose such games. i hope i'm not missing something here, maybe it's just some of these games that just all the luck is on the others' side. anyway i put some younger players in the starting line up that are beginning to show much promise like jon merril cam fowler taylor hall nino niederreiter gabriel landeskog :)

Well, four years after our last appearance, we were back in the finals, losing in 7 games to San Jose. The youth movement has been somewhat succesful. One defenceman won the Calder, one winger cracked the top six, one PK specialist emerged along with one or two maybe top 4 dmen. The best might just come this year though as a 20 year-old power foward looks to be ready to jump right in the lineup.

This year will be crucial as 7 players from my top 2 lines are pending RFA/UFAs... I'm expecting some crazy performances.

Speaking of crazy performance, my Icelandic superstar center got 157 points last year (including 110 assits).

Different from my Icelandic prospect who didn't get a new contract from me (despite 1st line potential) and haven't found a club after half a year.

Update, end of my 2020/21 campaign, another useless playoff effort.

That being said I was missing 2 of my top 6 [including my best C] so I suppose we were at long odds anyway.

Our playoffs in 20/21 were just ridiculous, we lost all 4 games that went to OT in the playoffs out of the 11 games we played

Might trade away my 2 time Vezina winner, he was rubbish during the regular season posting up a 2.85 GAA and 0.903 SV%, he was better during the playoffs, but I need a goaltender who can keep the play up. Might give him one more season though given the awards he's won in the last couple of years.

I'll go round again and see if we can change our luck, thinking I'm gonna shake up my roster this offseason again, get some of my better performing prospects in, and some veteran presence in.

Fingers crossed!

Starting a Kings and Oilers EHM tomorrow on the new rosters. Will try to keep everyone posted, but heres my outlook on the two.

Kings-Improve Doughty/Quick/Kopi before playing. Definitely underrated. Will try to bring in a legit winger for Doughty and Brown ala Parise or Eriksson with a shut down D and Kaberle to improve on Scuderi and Harrold.

Oilers-Try to trade Souray, Khabi, Hemmer and Penner to build for future. Obtain young talent and picks

Which roster Im not sure, I may see the other 10-11 DB first

After 10 seasons with the Blackhawks and 10 Presidents Trophies + 10 Stanley Cups, i decided to start over with the Panthers. I'm in my 4th season now, in the 1st i got to the quarterfinals where i lost to the Sabres in 7 games, next season i beat all odds when i reached the Conference Final against the Devils, which were the Presidents Trophy holders, and defeated them after being 1-3 in the first 4 games. But then i lost the SC final against the Canucks 1-4. Next season i also reached the SC final but a lot easier only to lose it again 1-4 against the Blackhawks... But now i managed to get some promising talents from the last entry draft and the future is bright i can say. although i'm with a bit weaker roster this year due to losing some players for draft picks and generally refreshing things on the roster.. but we'll see :) one thing that i don't like is that every team can get kovalchuk in the first season right after the start and even don't have to give that much, which makes the game actually a bit easier cause he is a player who definatelly makes difference, thats why i didn't get him this time to try without him :)

Just finished the 21/22 season. I thought this was the season, hey my top line put up 87 points between them in 20 games, and we still somehow didn't get over the line, no matter what I do I can't get enough scoring out of my third line.

Went down to the very average Blackhawks in 7, in Game 3 is where it started to go wrong, was up 2-1 with 4 minutes to go, dman with the giveaway, they go on the breakaway and score. Then he gives up a penalty in the last minute and they score with 37 seconds left on the PP to win the game. I won game 4, then lost 3-1, 6-5 [OT] and 3-1. The officiating went from even to very pro Blackhawks as well, so frustrated. I'm destined not to win the cup I reckon

To rub salt into the wounds they agreed it was very poor officiating in game 7, but they took no action against him. Sigh.

Gotta make some roster changes this off-season and hopefully somehow in 2022/23 I can win the cup, fingers crossed once again!

after losing 4 stanley cup finals in a row with the panthers (3 times agaisnt the canucks), i finally managed to win it on the 5th attempt, mostly because of the late arrival of ovechkin near the end of the regular season, when things weren't looking good. i got traded heatly plus 2 other players for ovechkin and this trade turned my season around. he ended the regular season with 150 points plus 50 in the playoffs and i beat the oilers 4:0 in the SC final.. now i'm happy :) half of the season is now gone, i'm first but right now i'm palying bad, only the points from my top 3 ovechkin getzlaf malkin plsu the saves from miller are winning me the games, but i also pu4 5 or 6 U21 players in the top 3 lines
