Change your currency to US dollar and his salary will be fine.
5.4 million SEK
It was due to reputation. I adjusted his rep and fixed it.
Thank you jjms for the heads up.
Thank you! I've been looking for solution to this problem for a while. Didn't know reputation affects player salaries like that.

Really? Reputation?
This is the first I've ever heard of Reputation having an affect on salary

Try yourself. In current editor, he has a rep of 156, salary set as 800,000, ends up at 5 million +
Put back his rep to say 110 and salary will be correct. I will bump up his rep of course before release as I'll do trial and error to check what exact number gets it boomed to five millions.

Seems like a bug to me
I don't think the Salary and Reputation shouldn't be connected like that (in regards to human edited databases and startup)...to keep the salary right you have to severely reduce Sharp's Reputation (which my understanding is will affect important things like his icetime and position on the depth chart and trade value) & "overpaid" players will have to have a higher Reputation than they deserve because otherwise their Salary is reduced?
In terms of a database that humans have edited, I'd think Salary should be something we input and it just is what it is, and shouldn't be affected by anything else in any way (like Reputation)
Was it like this in EHM07? I've literally never heard of Reputation affecting Salary before...
EDIT - I've emailed Riz and asked if things are working as intended/desired or is the way things work now (with the game overwriting human Salary inputs at startup) something that can be changed?
Sharps contracts (800k) goes with his old high CA which was 150+ CA. = Reputation similar 150+.
So the problem here is that you have the old CA/Rep with the new contract. As I now have him somewhere at 130-140!? (not home right now to check.)
Dunno if that's still too high for him? If the game still changes the contract, we'll have a problem. As I don't think he should have a rep of a regular AHL player.
I also think this might be a some kind of bug. I have never seen this kind of problem with anyone else. But I'm happy that lowering rep makes this problem go away, so I can start a new game (I'm also not home right now, but if you want, you can try if this problem occurs on anybody else? Example edit Crosbys salary to 800k and check if it stays at 8,7mill?)
So I just downloaded V0.2.2, would you guys say it's safe enough to use with my main save game file? I understand that it's still in early testing phases.
Saved game editing is very experimental. Make a backup first. You cannot, for instance, edit contract data, trade players or change league structures (these can only be done in a database).

Confirmed this fixed it for me, also the same with other buyout players, have to really knock down that reputation for the game to be ok with the new salary.
How do I add or delete a player from the database? I played around with the 0.2.2 editor and couldn't find a way to delete a duplicate of Ty Emberson (2018 NHL draftee, new beta db) in the game.
It isn't yet possible to delete a player. All you can do is retire him via his Classification/Job setting (I am writing this from memory). I'll be adding this to a future version - work is on hold temporarily as I am working on the roster update.

I see and thank you, Archibald. Can't wait for the roster update.
I think I'll look to release a small update of the Editor during September. I noticed that the Rules & Structures -> Stages screen is missing the "Generic group name" setting. Also, the "Fate to draw teams from" field should be a drop-down menu rather than a numerical field. I also want to take a look at the apparent issue Alessandro mentioned about old career histories being imported even when the "Ignore old entries" setting is enabled.
In the meantime, here is a list of the numerical settings for the "Fate to draw teams from" field (credit to Named for sending these details to me back in April - I hadn't been able to find his message until today):
This refers to what end position in the league table or end fate in a cup stage the game should look for when picking teams:
League stage - promotion place = 0
League stage - top playoff place = 1
League stage - bottom playoff place = 2
League stage - relegation place = 3
Cup stage - knocked out = 99
Cup stage - still in = 100
Cup stage - winner = 101
Cup stage - runner up = 102
Cup stage - third placed = 103
Cup stage - fourth placed = 104
Note that those league stage end positions refer to the "zones" in the league table (called "end places") which are defined in the stage rules. They don't necessarily mean promotion/relegation directly, they are just names for separating different "zones" in the league table. So you can separate the top 4 teams ("promotion" end places) from the 5-8 ("top playoff" end places for example to setup the playoffs differently for these teams even if there is no real promotion from the stage.
Alessandro recently mentioned that the "don't import old career histories" setting was not working in the Editor. I have fixed this and will release a new version today.
This is really just a minor fix which is necessary for the TBL Rosters (specifically, the history importing). It also includes a re-organisation of the Stages sub-screen in order to accommodate the extra group/stage name settings I accidentally overlooked previously (see screenshot below). Also shown in the screenshot below is a new toggle button which shows/hides the left-hand navigation panel, which might be useful for editing some of the wider tables (such as the stage schedule dates sub-screen).
Fixes and Improvements:
Added a toggle button to show/hide the left-hand navigation panel on each editing screen;
Added missing Generic Group Name and Generic Group Stats from the Stages sub-screen of Rules & Structures;
Changed the Fate to Draw Teams From field to a drop-down menu on the Stages sub-screen of Rules & Structures;
Corrected minimum Player Role count in the common text file;
Fixed the "Do not import old histories" setting when importing career histories which was not working correctly; and
Rearranged the Stages sub-screen of Rules & Structures in order to accommodate the extra fields.
Maybe it is just me wanting things they were before(as in pre-game editor) but I would love it if when choosing ClubContracted to, then Club Playing for would follow automatically.
Also, in the team drop-down menu in the same place(and others) could you make select be high-lighted and not cancel?
And like Named wrote a few posts up, having rights editable in the spreadsheet would be a big help for us.

Sure - they are easy changes to make. I'll add them to my list for the next release. I'm keen to make the Editor as user-friendly as possible and so let me know if there are any other things like this you would like to see. There are a few I've come across too which I want to add. I've no problem with making the Editor similar to the old Pre-Game Editor; it's more that I'm still working on improving the Editor rather than intentionally trying to depart from the Pre-Game Editor.

It's on the list but I put the Editor on hold whilst working on the rosters over the summer. I've nearly finished my work and so I'll be picking up the Editor again in a few weeks. At the very top of the list is adding some basic filtering.
Hi, anyone else having issues downloading this? The link just results in MS Drive doing nothing, just endless "loading dots" scrolling across the screen.
I like playing college. However, in the recruitment process I tend to lose players to a team with a lower reputation than me. I think that is because they are offering a signing bonus, which of course is against the college rules.
Is there any possibility that you could disable that option when it comes to signing players on a contract? It would make it more realistic.

I just tried and I was able to download/extract/open the Editor.....
Is there any way to change the ticket prize? the prize is low in camparison to real prizes for example SHL, NHL etc. also, is the "public company" working? if so, what's the difference?
It's a great editor already though, good job so far!
When I create new player example 7x 15 skills. It doesn't work at all. It's get random stats. What I do wrong? I do it same way like 2007, and with 07, it's work perfectly, so?
