Money problem in EHM07

Post by ZxHitmanxZ »

Hi,

I am playing with the penguins and i'm under the salary cap.At the beginning of a new season, I have a lot of money due to the tickets sales. But around the half of the season, I have no more money and I begin to have debts so the direction has to give me money to repay them.

Is this normal ? How can I solve this problem ?

Thank you very much for your help :-p

On one of my saves San Jose were constantly bankrupt. The way the game seems to handle this is 'the club management have inserted $x amount to stop the club falling into receivership'

Just because you're under the cap doesn't mean you're spending within your team's own budget. If you're losing cash that fast, you probably need to trim more salary and not spend to the cap. You get a lump of cash at season's start from any season ticket sales.

Making the playoffs will also get you "free" ticket revenue from any home games (because you're not paying the players anything for the postseason). That can help in the spring/summer. That can be easier said than done though if your budget is tight.

The ownership group will make an investment to get you out of debt but you really need to cut payroll.

How much money are you bringing in each year (without any investments from ownership)? Sometimes they set a budget that's too high for the amount of money you bring in. Also, look at the total yearly cost of your staff.

Money doesn't matter. Don't sweat it.

I'm with RDC. Not that it doesn't matter completely, but I always take it that it's not my job as the GM to worry about money as long as I stick to the budget or caps that have been issued. It's the owner's problem to worry about money and decide on your budget. You just work with what you've been given.
