EHM The Blue Line

The site's transfer to our new hosts is now complete! Thankfully everything has gone very smoothly. Hopefully now we'll have a much more reliable and faster server (it certainly seems faster thus far). Incidentally, I have enabled the cloud on our new server to see whether this time it works better than when I last tried it.

As always, please let me know if you encounter any difficulties or errors in using the site. I fixed a couple of minor errors this morning (caused by the new server using a newer version of some back-end software). I would also be interested to hear everybody's experiences of accessing the new server - are you finding the site faster than before?

UPDATE: I've disabled the cloud. It always seems to bring the site down. I don't think I'll bother with the cloud any further!

I had to create a new link in my Favorites...and none of my old links work anymore (I had some links to different TBL threads/pages) - is this a result of the transfer?

No, the links should work fine. Could you give me an example URL from one of your links?

The links work fine for me.

Your portal link is going via the temporary web address I set up. You should be able to access the site using the normal ehmtheblueline.com address: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/portal.php

If you're unable to access the site via the usual address then it might be because the changes haven't yet taken effect in Canada. The normal address should work sooner or later, but in the meantime you can just use temporary address.

For me its alot quicker

Started working this morning for me. Good job Arch!

Only problem I seem to have so far and it happened maybe twice in 5 login, the forum page does not load completely. Sometimes it stops at the EHM sub-forum or the competition one.

Try clearing your browser cache. That might solve it. If not, let me know and I'll clear the site's cache.

All is working fine for me too now (including my "old" links)

I had a couple of problems today loading TBL completely. Often had to refresh the page. That's weird though... Am I the only one?

Yes, we put in an anti-Philou filter! Now that you know we can do this you need to confess to being a Habs-fan or we'll add it permanently
