This team was used way back in TBL's second challenge. I figure there's been enough of a change in their roster since then to make it fresh and so many of our regular challenge participants weren't around here when the team was last played. I was also figuring that we needed some changes to make the challenge fresh again. Some of you may remember our old "Core Roster & Homegrown Player" rules system. It was a system that didn't limit your trading like we have for quite a while now but it did make you maintain a core of players and also develop homegrown talent. It's a bit of a complicated system but it had it's merits. It did allow for more trading than our recent challenges do while also making you develop your own talent. Unfortunately, people were still able to exploit the trade engines weaknesses. So we abandoned that system and we've changed things here and there, while learning a lot since then. I've taken some of what we've learned since then and used it to tweak the old "Core Roster & Homegrown Player" rules system. While some might find it complicated, I think it's something we can work with. I've also made an Excel spreadsheet (which you can use the free Open Office software to open if you don't have the Microsoft version) to help. Downloading that spreadsheet is essential! One of the tabs of this spreadsheet lists the tiers for all of the contracted players in the league. You'll need that. The other tabs are very useful too.
The new rules are laid out HERE. The spreadsheet can be downloaded HERE.
This challenge uses TBL Rosters 7.0. Please download it http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 77&t=12946
All discussion for this challenge goes HERE.
If you have any questions regarding the new rules (and I'm sure there's bound to be many) or anything else, please post HERE.
Please don't be shy about asking questions regarding the new rules. I know it's a bit complicated.
Enjoy!
