Using a Mac and crossover, how do I upload these types of files into my database? I should really just get a PC.

Are the ranges editable? I would like to request the CJ colouring with the following ranges, if it ain't too much trouble.
-bright green 17-20
-green 13-16
-orange(or whatever that colour is

) 8-12
-red for the rest
Thanks!!

So Batdad & Doomski got the attribtues black form different colour files?

But the others are working? This sounds very strange.

I'm pretty sure the ranges are hardcoded. I told riz though that I'd like to see more colouring ranges in-game.
Is that still a request even though the ranges are default? You need to be more specific with those colours.

The green I have from 12-16 attribute is the brightest green you'll get ingame, as the colours aren't full opacity/fill.

Can you create attribute colors using default EHM EA shades, but replace darker green (12-16 or something) with pure yellow?

The yellow colour I have in my version (9,10,11) is the brightest purest yellow you can get I'm afraid.

Maybe it'd work if I'd keep the default red, then make orange, then yellow, and the best attribute default green?

That is more or less what I have going here, based on EHM2007 coloring:
# PROFILE_ATTRIB_LOW
88 200 0 0
# PROFILE_ATTRIB_NORMAL
89 211 135 9
# PROFILE_ATTRIB_GOOD
90 248 248 0
# PROFILE_ATTRIB_EXCELLENT
91 0 255 00

Of course not. I posted the numbers exactly for that, so people can fine tune.

Is it possible to remove the boxes and just have the numbers themselves be the colors?
I really, really hate the boxes. I didn't think I would, but after a bit of time... I really do hate them. Or is this one of those things that won't be easily modifiable with the way SI's changed it? I'm curious. I prefer the way they were presented in 2007.

I meant, to just change the bright green and green with one anohter, this way the lower attribute would've been green and the higher one - bright green. However, since the ranges can't be editted, I'll just use your default CJ colouring

.
Thanks again, great work

I think those boxes are hardcoded. Not 100% sure, but pretty sure.

You mean just switch places with my two greens in CJ colouring? The higher attributes (17-20) would use bright green and the attributes (12-16) would use darker green?

It's too bad if so. The boxes are distracting. A user's eye should be drawn to the numbers themselves, not the surrounding boxes. The color of them then complements the number itself. Instead, your eye is now drawn immediately to the box of color, and then secondarily the actual numerical value. The box essentially introduces an extra layer the user has to process. This is especially true since it's white text on say, yellow or lighter green box backing.
That maybe sounds silly but, when your game *is* text, it's kinda' an important thing to not over-complicate. I do appreciate these color choices though. Maybe one of them can lessen the impact a bit. I'm even considering trying the greyscale one...

I'd also be glad to at least test the EHM07 colouring if you have the time to make it.

The current ones are much appreciated too.

I'm a big fan of this scheme. I manually edited it on my end to this and it makes the players with good attributes "pop out" more, closer to 2007. The EXCELLENT attributes should stand out very much from the GOOD. Otherwise, oftentimes NHL players tend to look all green, even if they're just 4th liners (again the perils of the color boxes overwhelming you at a glance).
